أخبرني أحمد بن سهل الفقيه ببُخارى، حدثنا قيس بن أُنَيف، حدثنا قُتَيبة بن سعيد، حدثنا جعفر بن سُليمان، عن ثابت، عن أنس قال: جاءَ جبريلُ ﵇ إلى النبي ﷺ وعنده خديجةُ، فقال: إنَّ الله يُقرئ خديجةَ السلامَ، فقالت: إنَّ الله هو السلامُ وعليك السلام ورحمة الله (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. ذكر مناقب أسعد بن زُرارة بن عُدَسَ بن عُبَيد بن ثَعلَبة بن غَنْم بن مالك بن النَّجّار ﵁ -

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: Jibril (peace be upon him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while Khadijah was with him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: Indeed, Allah Almighty sends greetings of peace to Khadijah. She replied: "Indeed, Allah Himself is al-Salam (Peace), and upon you (Jibril) be peace and the mercy of Allah."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, and the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(2) إسناده حسن، قيس بن أُنَيف روى عنه جمع من أهل بُخارى، ولم يؤثر فيه جرح ولا تعديل، وهو متابع، وجعفر بن سليمان - وهو الضُّبَعي - صدوق لا بأس به.
Grading: Its chain is "hasan".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrator "Qays bin Unayf" was narrated from by a large number of the people of Bukhara, and no criticism or accreditation of him has been transmitted, but he is corroborated. And "Ja'far bin Sulayman" (al-Duba'i) is saduq, and there is no harm in him (la ba'sa bihi).
وأخرجه النسائي (8301) و (10134) من طريق عبد الرزاق، عن جعفر بن سليمان، به.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Nasa'i cited this narration in (8301) and (10134) by way of 'Abd al-Razzaq, who narrated it from Ja'far bin Sulayman.
بلفظ: فقالت: إنَّ الله هو السلام، وعلى جبريل السلام، وعليك السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته.
Details of the narration: The wording of al-Nasa'i's narration is: "She (Khadijah) said: Indeed Allah is al-Salam, and upon Jibril be peace, and upon you (peace and blessings be upon him) be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings."
ولإقراء الله تعالى خديجة السلام دون جوابها شاهدٌ من حديث أبي هريرة تقدَّم برقم (4911).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: For Allah the Exalted sending greetings of peace to Khadijah (without mention of her reply), there is a supporting report (shahid) from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), which has passed under number (4911).
Grading: Its chain is "hasan".
