Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 4913

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said to Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Shall I not give you glad tidings? I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The leaders of the women of the people of Paradise are four: Maryam bint Imran, Fatimah the daughter of the Messenger of Allah, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, and Asiyah."

Grading: This hadith is "sahih li-ghayrihi" (authentic through supporting evidence). The narrators of this chain are "thiqah", but the correct view is that it is "munqati'" (broken). The mention of Ibn Shihab (al-Zuhri) and 'Urwah (Ibn al-Zubayr) in it is not correct. This report is in Ahmad bin Hanbal's "Fada'il al-Sahabah" (1336, 1576) with this very chain from Salih (Ibn Kaysan) by "wijadah" (found in writing, without hearing), who said: "It is said that 'A'ishah said ...". Ahmad bin Ja'far al-Qati'i (who is the author's shaykh here) is also the narrator of "Fada'il al-Sahabah", which shows that al-Hakim's narration is a "mistake (wahm)", and most likely the mistake was his (al-Hakim's) own.
Supporting reports (shawahid): It is supported by the previous hadith of Ibn 'Abbas.
Supporting reports (shawahid): And by the hadith of Anas bin Malik which has passed under number (4800).
