حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن أحمد بن بُطة، حدثنا الحسن بن الجهم الأصبهاني، حدثنا الحسين بن الفَرَج، حدثنا محمد بن عمر، قال: تُوفّيت فاطمة بنت محمد ﷺ لثلاث ليال خَلَون من شهر رمضان، وهي ابنةُ تسع وعشرين سنة أو نحوها. وقد اختُلِف في وقت وفاتِها، فرُوي عن أبي جعفر محمد بن علي، أنه قال: توفيت فاطمة بعد النبي ﷺ بثلاثة أشهر. وأما عائشة فإنها قالت فيما روي عنها: إنها تُوفّيت بعد النبي ﷺ بستة أشهر. وأما عبد الله بن الحارث فإنه قال فيما روى يزيد بن أبي زياد عنه قال: تُوفّيتْ فاطمة بعد رسول الله ﷺ بثمانية أشهر.
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Umar al-Waqidi that Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), passed away on the 3rd of Ramadan, when she was 29 years old or thereabouts. There is disagreement about the time of her death: it is reported from Abu Ja'far Muhammad bin Ali that Fatimah passed away three months after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); whereas it is reported from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she passed away six months after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); and it is reported from Abdullah bin al-Harith that she passed away eight months after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
