أخبرنا أبو بكر أحمد بن جعفر القطيعي، حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدثني أبي، حدثنا يونس بن محمد، حدثنا داود بن أبي الفُرات، عن عِلْباء بن أَحمر، عن عِكرمة، عن ابن عبّاس، قال: خَطَّ رسول الله ﷺ في الأرض أربعة خُطوطٍ، ثم قال: "أتدرُونَ ما هذا؟ " فقالوا: الله ورسوله أعلمُ، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: "أفضلُ نِساءِ أهل الجنة: خَديجة بنتُ خُوَيلد، وفاطمة بنتُ محمّدٍ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) drew four lines on the ground and then asked: "Do you know what this is?" The Companions said: Allah and His Messenger know best. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of the women of the people of Paradise are Khadijah bint Khuwaylid and Fatimah bint Muhammad (may Allah be pleased with them both)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Narrator: Yunus bin Muhammad: he is "Ibn Muslim al-Baghdadi al-Mu'addib".
وهو في "مسند أحمد" 4/ (2668). وزاد فيه ذكر آسية بنت مزاحم ومريم ابنة عمران.
Reference / Source: This narration is found in "Musnad Ahmad" [4/ (2668)].
Details of the narration: And in it there is the addition of the mention of Asiyah bint Muzahim and Maryam bint 'Imran.
وسيأتي برقم (4912) من طريق العباس بن محمد الدُّوري عن يونس بن محمد.
Reference / Source: This narration will come shortly under no. (4912) via al-'Abbas bin Muhammad al-Duri, who narrates from Yunus bin Muhammad.
وقد تقدم برقم (3878) من طريق أبي الوليد الطيالسي، وبرقم (4205) من طريق موسى بن إسماعيل، كلاهما عن داود بن أبي الفرات.
Reference / Source: It has already passed under no. (3878) via Abu al-Walid al-Tayalisi, and under no. (4205) via Musa bin Isma'il; both of them narrate it from Dawud bin Abi al-Furat.
