Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 4801

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sufficient for you among all the women of the world (in rank of perfection) are Maryam bint Imran, Khadijah bint Khuwaylid and Fatimah bint Muhammad."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it with this wording, because his (peace and blessings be upon him) saying "Sufficient for you among the women of the worlds" indicates equality (in rank) among the women of the world.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: (1) Imam al-Dhahabi added after it in his "al-Talkhis": "وآسية امرأة فرعون" (and Asiyah, the wife of Pharaoh), although this is not found in our manuscripts (usul).

Grading: (2) Like the previous hadith, it is "sahih li-ghayrihi", and the narrators of this chain are thiqah (trustworthy),
Technical note / Defect ('illah): but the mention of al-Zuhri in it is "gharib" (odd), and most likely his mention is a "wahm" (error). For a group of imams - among them Ahmad bin Hanbal, as passed in the route before this one - narrated it from 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Qatadah, from Anas. So the "mahfuz" (preserved) version mentions Qatadah, not al-Zuhri. In addition, Ma'mar also did not retain its chain precisely, since he made it mawsul (connected) by mentioning Anas, whereas a narrator more reliable than him in narrating from Qatadah contradicted him and narrated it as "mursal", as has already been explained.
Reference / Source: And this narration is found with Ahmad in "Fada'il al-Sahabah" [(1332), (1338)].
Reference / Source: And it is also with him (Imam Ahmad) in the "Musnad", as stated in al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar's "Atraf al-Musnad" (981) and "Ithaf al-Maharah" (1800).
Note / Clarification: Al-Hafiz mentioned that in the manuscript it appears within the Musnad of Ibn Mas'ud, although that is not its place! And this (error) is not found in any of our manuscripts of the "Musnad".
