Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "talif" (ruined / discarded).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrator "al-'Abbas bin al-Walid bin Bakkar al-Dabbi" is munkar al-hadith, and al-Daraqutni declared him a "kadhdhab" (liar). The author (al-Hakim) himself said in "al-Madkhal ila al-Sahih" (151): He narrated a munkar hadith from Khalid al-Wasiti in which he was not corroborated, and narrated "mu'dal" reports from others. Imam al-Dhahabi judged it "mawdu'" (fabricated) in "Talkhis al-Mustadrak", and before him Ibn al-Jawzi mentioned it in "al-Mawdu'at" (2/ 229, after hadith 783).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Al-'Abbas bin al-Walid was corroborated by "'Abd al-Hamid bin Bahr al-Zahrani al-Kufi" (as will come with the author at no. 4812), but this corroboration is no cause for comfort (it is useless), because Ibn Hibban and Ibn 'Adi said about 'Abd al-Hamid bin Bahr that "he steals hadith", and al-Daraqutni declared him weak.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Likewise "al-Fudayl bin 'Abd al-Wahhab al-Ghatafani" also corroborated him (as will come), but the narrator who narrates from him is "accused of lying".
Note / Clarification: (Identification of names): Bayan: he is Ibn Bishr al-Ahmasi; al-Sha'bi is "'Amir bin Sharahil"; and Abu Juhayfah is "Wahb bin 'Abd Allah al-Suwa'i".

Reference / Source: This hadith was recorded by Abu Bakr al-Dinawari in "al-Mujalasah" (3487), Ibn al-A'rabi in "al-Mu'jam" (570 and 1007), Ibn 'Adi in "al-Kamil" (5/ 5), Tammam al-Razi in "al-Fawa'id" (414), Abu Nu'aym al-Isbahani in "Fada'il al-Khulafa' al-Rashidin" (138), Ibn al-Maghazili in "Manaqib 'Ali" (404), Ibn al-Jawzi in "al-'Ilal al-Mutanahiyah" (420 and 421) and Ibn al-Athir in "Usd al-Ghabah" (6/ 225), via various routes through "al-'Abbas bin al-Walid bin Bakkar", with this chain.
Reference / Source: Abu al-'Abbas Ahmad bin 'Ali bin Muslim al-Abbar narrated it in his compilation "Hadith al-Zuhri" (as in Ibn Nasir al-Din al-Dimashqi's "Jami' al-Athar" 3/ 508) via 'Abd Allah bin Abi Bakr al-Muqaddami, from al-Fudayl bin 'Abd al-Wahhab (in the printed edition mistakenly printed as 'al-Fadl'), from Khalid bin 'Abd Allah al-Tahhan al-Wasiti, with this chain.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrator "'Abd Allah bin Abi Bakr al-Muqaddami" is matruk al-hadith, and Yahya bin Ma'in accused him of lying, as mentioned in "Su'alat Hamzah al-Sahmi li al-Daraqutni" (327). Abu Hatim said: "Fihi nazar" (he is open to question), and Abu Zur'ah said: "Laysa bi-shay'" (he is nothing).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: A similar hadith is also narrated from Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Abu Hurayrah and 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with them), but their chains are extremely weak (wahiyah), containing liars (kadhdhab) and matruk narrators. Ibn al-Jawzi mentioned all these narrations in "al-'Ilal al-Mutanahiyah" (424 to 428).
