Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 4704

حدثنا الحسن بن يعقوب العدل، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الوهاب، حدثنا جعفر بن عَون، عن مِسعَر، عن أبي عَون، عن أبي صالح، عن علي، قال: قال رسولُ الله ﷺ يومَ بدرٍ لي ولأبي بكر: "عن يمينِ أحدِكُما جبريلُ، والآخَرِ ميكائيلُ، وإسرافيلُ مَلَكٌ عظيمٌ يشهدُ القتالَ ويكونُ في الصفِّ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me and to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) on the day of the Battle of Badr: "On the right of one of you is Jibril (peace be upon him), and with the other is Mika'il (peace be upon him), while Israfil (peace be upon him) is a mighty angel who attends the fighting and is present in the ranks."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
