Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: (1) This is how it appears in the manuscripts, while some sources have "tafut al-qa'im" (higher than a standing man). Evidently those beds, being raised high, seemed even higher than a man standing on his feet. It is reported about some of the Umayyad caliphs that their beds were raised high. Accordingly, "bi-qurb al-qa'im" means close to the height of a standing man, and "tafut al-qa'im" means higher than him. And Allah knows best.
Grading: (2) It is da'if (weak) and munkar. Hafs bin Imran is majhul (unknown), as al-Dhahabi pointed out. His shaykh al-Sari bin Yahya, if he is al-Shaybani, is thiqah (trustworthy); otherwise he too is unknown. Mughlatay, in "al-Ikmal" (5/222), distinguished him from al-Shaybani and attributed him to al-Sarifini.
Reference / Source: Ya'qub bin Sufyan (1/629-630) narrated it, and through his route Ibn Abi Asim (189), al-Bayhaqi (6/440-441) and Ibn Asakir (55/305), from Sa'id bin Ufayr with this same chain.
Note / Clarification: It will come with the author (al-Hakim) at (4745) through the route of Nuh bin Darraj, from Muhammad bin Ishaq, from al-Zuhri, from Asma' al-Ansariyyah, that: "On the night Ali was killed, no stone was lifted in Bayt al-Maqdis except that fresh blood was found beneath it."
Grading: This Nuh is matruk (abandoned), and Ibn Ma'in called him a liar, and al-Hakim himself said: he narrated fabrications from trustworthy narrators.
Reference / Source: Ibn Sa'd (7/432), al-Bayhaqi (6/471) and Ibn Asakir (14/229) narrated through the route of Ma'mar bin Rashid that al-Zuhri first became known in the gathering of Abd al-Malik bin Marwan, when he asked: What happened to the stones of Bayt al-Maqdis on the day al-Husayn was killed? No one knew, so al-Zuhri said: It has reached me that on that day no stone was turned over except that fresh blood was found beneath it.
Grading: The narrators up to al-Zuhri are thiqah, but al-Zuhri's balaghat and mursal reports are "like the wind" (Ibn Ma'in and Yahya al-Qattan).
Reference / Source: Similarly, in abridged form, al-Tabarani (2835), Abu Nu'aym (1789) and al-Mustaghfiri (663) narrated it from Ibn Jurayj from al-Zuhri.
Note / Clarification: "Al-simat": a group of people.
