Book of Knowing the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them)
يَتَجَلَّى اللَّهُ لِعِبَادِهِ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَامَّةً ، لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ خَاصَّةً .
Allah will manifest Himself to His servants in the Hereafter in general, and to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) in particular

أخبرَناه أبو العبّاس المحبوبي، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا داود بن أبي هند، عن الشَّعْبي، عن ابن مسعود، قال: لما قُبضَ النبيُّ - لى الله عليه وسلم - اجتمعَ المهاجرون والأنصار إلى سَقِيفة بني ساعِدةَ في بَيعة أبي بكرٍ، فأتيتُ أمَّ سلمةَ فقلتُ لها: بايَعَ الناسُ أبا بكرٍ (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, the Muhajirun and the Ansar gathered at the Saqifah of Banu Sa'idah to pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). So I went to the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), and told her that the people had pledged allegiance to Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him).
