Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "da'if" because of the weakness of al-Mukhtar bin Nafi'. Muhammad bin Sinan al-Qazzaz (although there is some weakness in him) has been corroborated (mutaba'). Abu Hayyan al-Taymi: he is Yahya bin Sa'id bin Hayyan. Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (3714) recorded it via Abu al-Khattab Ziyad bin Yahya > Abu 'Attab with this same chain and said: This hadith is "gharib". Corroborating chains and supporting reports: And what makes it unnecessary is the hadith narrated from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Ahmad 17/ 11134, al-Bukhari 466, Muslim 2382), with the wording: "Indeed, the one who has done me the most favour in his companionship and his wealth is Abu Bakr." Corroborating chains and supporting reports: And it is narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) (al-Ajurri: 1265, al-Tabarani, al-Kabir: 11461, al-Awsat: 504, 3835, Ibn 'Adi 1/ 431, Ibn 'Asakir 30/ 60, Diya' al-Maqdisi: al-Mukhtarah 11/ 238, 239) with the wording: "No one has done me a greater favour than Abu Bakr; he consoled me with his own self and his wealth, and he married his daughter to me." Grading: Its chain is "hasan".
