أخبرني أبو الوليد الفقيه، حدثنا الحسن بن سفيان، حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة، حدثنا أبو نعيم، حدثنا ابن الغَسيل، عن حمزة بن أبي أُسيد، عن أبيه، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ يوم بدرٍ حين صَفَفْنا للقتال لقريشٍ وصَفُّوا لنا: "إذا أكثَبُوكُم فارمُوهُم بالنَّبل" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Usayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Badr, when we had formed ranks to fight Quraysh and they had also formed ranks facing us, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When they come very close to you (akthabukum), then shoot them with arrows."
This hadith has an authentic (sahih) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(2) إسناده صحيح. أبو نُعيم: هو الفضل بن دكين، وابن الغسيل: هو عبد الرحمن بن سليمان بن عبد الله بن حنظلة غسيل الملائكة.
Grading: (2) Its chain is sahih.
Technical note: Abu Nu'aym is "al-Fadl bin Dukayn"; and Ibn al-Ghasil is "'Abd al-Rahman bin Sulayman bin 'Abd Allah bin Hanzalah (Ghasil al-Mala'ikah)".
وأخرجه البخاري (2900) عن أبي نعيم، بهذا الإسناد. فاستدراك الحاكم له ذهولٌ منه.
Reference / Source: Al-Bukhari (2900) narrated it from Abu Nu'aym with this chain.
Note: So al-Hakim's including it as a supplement (istidrak) is an oversight on his part.
