Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 4245

It is narrated from Hariz bin Uthman; he said: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Busr al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him): Did you see the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? Was he (peace and blessings be upon him) old? He said: There were a few white hairs in his 'anfaqah (the hair below the lower lip).
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Reference / Source: Ahmad recorded it in "al-Musnad" 29/ (17672, 17681, 17682, 17699) and al-Bukhari at (3546) via various routes from Hariz bin 'Uthman al-Himsi.
Important point: Al-Hakim's including this hadith as a supplement (istidrak) in "al-Mustadrak" is an oversight (dhuhul) on his part, since it is already in Sahih al-Bukhari.
