It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was born on the "Day of the Elephant". Humayd bin al-Rabi' is alone in mentioning the words "Day of the Elephant" in this hadith, and no other narrator has corroborated (supported) him in it.

Hadith Takhrij«
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: It is hasan. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Although al-Husayn bin Humayd bin al-Rabi' has some softness (lin), he is corroborated, as in the preceding route, so he is not alone in this narration as the author (al-Hakim) claimed.
