Mustadrak al-Hakim 4110 — Mention of Salih

أخبرني أحمد بن محمد الأحمسي، حدثنا الحسين بن حميد بن الربيع، حدثنا مروان بن جعفر، حدثنا حميد بن معاذ، حدثني مُدرِك، حدثنا الحسن بن ذكوان، عن الحسن البصري، عن سَمُرة، عن كعب، قال: ثم كان صالحٌ نبي الله ﷺ، وكان يُشبه عيسى ابن مريم، أحمرُ إلى البياض ما هو، سَبِطُ الرأس (1).

It is narrated from Ka'b (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: "Then came the Prophet of Allah Salih (peace and blessings be upon him), and he resembled (in his form and appearance) Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon them both). His complexion was white tinged with red, and his hair was straight."

Grading: Its chain is da'if; the discussion of its narrators has passed under no. (4059).
Technical note: Samurah is "Ibn Jundub", and Ka'b is "Ibn Mati' al-Himyari", known as Ka'b al-Ahbar.
