حدثنا أبو الوليد حسَّان بن محمد الفقيه إملاءً وقراءةً، حدثنا محمد بن سليمان بن خالد، حدثنا سَلَمة بن شَبِيب، حدثنا عبد الرزاق، أخبرنا إبراهيم بن ميمون، أخبرني عبد الله بن طاووس، أنه سمع أباه يحدِّث، أنه سمع ابنَ عباس يحدِّث، أنَّ النبي ﷺ قال: "لا يَجمَعُ الله أمَّتي - أو قال: هذه الأُمة - على الضلالةِ أبدًا، ويدُ الله على الجماعة" (1).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah will never gather my Ummah (or he said: this Ummah) upon misguidance, and the Hand of Allah is over the Jama'ah."

(1) إسناده صحيح، ومحمد بن سليمان بن خالد - وهو العبدي الميداني النيسابوري - ذكره الحاكم في "تاريخ نيسابور" (كما في "منتخبه" للخليفة النيسابوري ص 55) وقال شيخ مشهور، وقد توبع في الذي يليه، وباقي رجال الإسناد ثقات.
Grading: Its chain is "sahih".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The narrator Muhammad bin Sulayman bin Khalid (al-Abdi al-Maydani al-Naysaburi) was mentioned by Imam al-Hakim in "Tarikh Naysabur", where he called him "a well-known shaykh"; moreover, he is corroborated in the next route, while all the remaining narrators of the chain are "thiqah".
وأخرجه الترمذي (2166) عن يحيى بن موسى، عن عبد الرزاق، بهذا الإسناد. واقتصر على قوله: "يد الله مع الجماعة"، وقال: حديث حسن. وانظر ما بعده.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Tirmidhi (2166) narrated it through the route of Yahya bin Musa from Abd al-Razzaq with this same chain.
Details of the narration: He limited himself to these words only: "The Hand of Allah is over the Jama'ah", and declared it a "hasan hadith". See also the narration after this one.
