It is narrated from Sayyiduna Tamim al-Dari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about a man who accepts Islam at the hands of another, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He has the greatest right of all people to him in his life and in his death."

(234). Grading of the chain: Its narrators are trustworthy, but we have explained in the previous route that in the narration from Abd al-Aziz bin Umar there is disagreement over mentioning or omitting "Qabisah", and Yahya bin Hamzah is alone in mentioning him. Technical note (error): Saying "Abd Allah bin Wahb al-Qurashi" in this chain is a "clear error" (wahm) by Muhammad bin Ishaq al-Saghani or by a narrator below him. For Abu Zur'ah al-Dimashqi (Tarikh 1/ 569) and Amr bin Mansur al-Nasa'i (Tarikh Dimashq 33/ 232) narrated this hadith from Abu Mushir and said: "Abd Allah bin Mawhab" (without any attribution) and "Ibn Mawhab". Thus their wording agreed with that of the other students of Abd al-Aziz bin Umar. Also, Hisham bin 'Ammar and Yazid bin Khalid bin Mawhab narrated it likewise from Yahya bin Hamzah. Moreover, none of those who wrote biographies of Ibn Mawhab called him "al-Qurashi" (either by lineage or by clientage); rather, they called him "al-Hamdani" or "a man from Khawlan" (Mu'jam al-Sahabah of al-Baghawi, 234). Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (2918) narrated it by way of Hisham bin 'Ammar and Yazid bin Khalid bin Mawhab al-Ramli, from Yahya bin Hamzah al-Hadrami, from Abd al-Aziz bin Umar, from Abd Allah bin Mawhab.
