كَرَمُ الْمُؤْمِنِ دِينُهُ وَمُرُوَّتُهُ عَقْلُهُ وَحَسَبُهُ خُلُقُهُ .

حدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق الفقيه، أخبرنا الحَسن بن علي بن زياد، حدثنا إبراهيم بن موسى الفرّاء، حدثنا مسلم بن خالد، حدثنا العلاء بن عبد الرحمن، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "كَرَمُ المؤمن دينُه، ومُروءتُه عقلُه، وحَسَبُه خُلُقُه" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The nobility (honour and dignity) of a believer is his religion, his manliness is his intellect, and his noble standing (hasab: the excellence of his lineage) is his good character."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(2) إسناده ضعيف، وقد سلف برقم (430) من طريقين عن مسلم بن خالد الزنجي.
Grading: This chain is "da'if", and this narration has already passed at number (430) via two routes from Muslim bin Khalid al-Zanji.
وأخرجه البيهقي في "الشعب" (4335) عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi recorded it in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (4335) from Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim, with this same chain.
وأخرجه أبو بكر بن زياد النيسابوري في "زياداته على مختصر المزني" (391) من طريق محمد بن يحيى الذهلي، عن إبراهيم بن موسى، به.
