مَنْ عَلِمَ أَنَّ الصَّلَاةَ عَلَيْهِ حَقٌّ وَاجِبٌ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ

حدَّثَناه أبو بكر أحمد بن سلمان الفقيه ببغداد، حدثنا الحسن بن مُكْرَم، حدثنا عثمان بن عمر ورَوْح بن عُبادة قالا: حدثنا عِمران بن حُدَير، عن عبد الملك بن عُبيد قال: سمعت حُمْرانَ بن أبَان قال: سمعت عثمانَ بن عفَّان - وكان قليل الحديث عن رسول الله ﷺ (2) - عن رسول الله ﷺ قال: "مَن عَلِمَ أنَّ الصلاةَ عليه حقٌّ واجبٌ، دَخَلَ الجنةَ" (3).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) (who narrated very few hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever knows that the prayer is an obligatory duty upon him enters Paradise."
There is a supporting report (shahid) for it from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) with this chain, which the two Shaykhs did not record.

Note / Clarification: The words "from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)" are found only in manuscript (Z).
(3) إسناده ضعيف لجهالة عبد الملك بن عبيد.
Grading: Its chain is da'if because Abd al-Malik bin Ubayd is majhul (of unknown status).
وأخرجه عبد الله بن أحمد في زياداته على "المسند" 1/ (423) عن عبيد الله بن عمر القواريري، عن عثمان بن عمر وحده، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Abd Allah bin Ahmad narrated it in his additions to the "Musnad" (vol. 1, hadith 423) by way of Ubayd Allah bin Umar al-Qawariri, from Uthman bin Umar alone, with this same chain.
