It is narrated from al-Harith bin Uqaysh (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any two Muslims whose three children die before reaching the age of puberty, Allah Almighty will admit them both (the parents) into Paradise by the grace of His mercy to them." The people said: O Messenger of Allah! And one whose two children have died? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And one whose two children (have died, him too)." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) further said: "Indeed, among my Ummah are people through whose intercession more people will enter Paradise than the entire number of (the tribe of) Mudar, and among my Ummah there will be (a sinner) who will be made so huge for Hell that he will become one of its corners."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim. Al-Harith bin Uqaysh is mentioned in the Musnad collections of the imams, and this is of the type we mentioned earlier, where a single Tabi'i is alone in narrating from a Companion (which is a defect in the view of the two Shaykhs).

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This narration is "sahih li-ghayrihi". Technical note / Defect ('illah): This chain can possibly be graded hasan because of Abd Allah bin Qays al-Asadi; Ibn Hibban mentioned him in his "al-Thiqat" (vol. 5, p. 42) and stated that he is the same one who also narrated from Ibn Mas'ud and from whom Abu Harb bin Abi al-Aswad narrated. Ibn Hibban also raised the possibility that he may be the same narrator who narrated from Ibn Abbas and from whom Abu Ishaq al-Sabi'i narrated. Important point: Supporting reports for the various parts of this hadith are coming. Abu Mu'awiyah is Muhammad bin Khazim al-Darir. Reference / Source: Ahmad narrated it (vol. 29, hadiths 17858 and 17859), his son Abd Allah (vol. 37, hadith 22665), and Ibn Majah (4323) through various routes from Dawud bin Abi Hind with this same chain; in Ahmad's first location and in Ibn Majah this narration is abridged. (8967). Note / Clarification: See also the narration after it and the one that will come at number (8967). (2634). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Supporting reports for the story of the reward for (patience at) the death of children are found from the narrations of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah in Sahih al-Bukhari (1249, 1250) and Sahih Muslim (2633, 2634). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: A supporting report for the story of intercession is the hadith of Abu Umamah in the "Musnad Ahmad" (vol. 36, hadith 22215); a second supporting report is the mursal narration of al-Hasan al-Basri, which will come with the author (al-Hakim) at number (5826); and a third supporting report is the hadith of Ibn Abi al-Jad'a', which has already appeared with the author as the previous hadith. 8/ (4800). Details of the narration: Similar in meaning to the last story is the hadith of Zayd bin Arqam in the "Musnad Ahmad" (vol. 32, hadith 19266) with the wording: "The body of a man of the people of the Fire will be enlarged for the Fire until one of his molars is like (Mount) Uhud." Grading: Its chain is sahih. Reference / Source: For other supporting reports with this meaning, see under the narration of Ibn Umar in the "Musnad Ahmad" (vol. 8, hadith 4800). Technical note / Defect ('illah): The wording "from my Ummah" that occurs in the hadith of al-Harith bin Uqaysh, and that he will be one of the corners of the Fire, is reported only in this narration. General principle: As Ibn Khuzaymah explained in "al-Tawhid" (vol. 2, p. 744), "Ummah" here may refer to those to whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent but who did not accept the call to faith (the Ummah of invitation), not those who accepted faith but committed sins (the Ummah of response). Note / Clarification: "Lam yablughu al-hinth" means they had not reached the age of puberty so that sins would be recorded against them; "al-hinth" literally means sin.
