Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 232

حدَّثَناه أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أحمد بن عيسى التِّنِّيسي، حدثنا عمرو بن أبي سَلَمة، حدثنا زهير بن محمد، عن جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن جابر قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "شفاعتي لأهل الكبائرِ من أمَّتي" (2). قد احتجَّا جميعًا بزهير بن محمد العَنبَري، وقد تابعه محمدُ بن ثابت البُنَاني عن جعفر:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My intercession is for those of my Ummah who commit major sins."
Both of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) used Zuhayr bin Muhammad al-Anbari as evidence, and Muhammad bin Thabit al-Bunani corroborated him (mutaba'ah) in narrating it from Ja'far (al-Sadiq).

(2) حديث صحيح بما قبله، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف أحمد بن عيسى التنيسي، وقد توبع، وعمرو بن أبي سلمة - وإن كان في روايته عن زهير بن محمد كلام - قد توبع أيضًا.
Grading: This hadith is sahih because of the narration before it, but this chain is da'if because of the weakness of Ahmad bin Isa al-Tinnisi; however, he has been corroborated.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Although there is criticism of Amr bin Abi Salamah's narration from Zuhayr bin Muhammad, he too has been corroborated.
وأخرجه ابن حبان (6467) من طريق محمد بن يحيى الذُّهْلي وأحمد بن يوسف السُّلمي - وهما ثقتان - عن عمرو بن أبي سلمة، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban narrated it (6467) through the route of Muhammad bin Yahya al-Dhuhli and Ahmad bin Yusuf al-Sulami (both of whom are thiqah), from Amr bin Abi Salamah, with this same chain.
وتابع عمرًا الوليدُ بن مسلم عن زهير بن محمد فيما سيأتي عند المصنف برقم (3483). وانظر الحديث التالي.
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Al-Walid bin Muslim corroborated Amr from Zuhayr bin Muhammad, as will come further on with the author (al-Hakim) in hadith number (3483).
