Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 22

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the (other) Muslims are safe, and the believer is the one from whom people feel secure regarding their lives and their wealth."
Both of them (Imam Bukhari and Muslim) agreed on recording a part of the hadith, "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe", but they did not narrate this addition (about the believer), although it is sahih on the condition of Imam Muslim. In this hadith there is also another addition on the condition of Imam Muslim which both of them did not narrate.
