أخبرّناه أبو نصر أحمد بن سهل الفقيه وأبو الحسن علي بن محمد الشَّرعاوَشُوني البخاريَّانِ ببُخارى، قالا: حدثنا صالح بن محمد بن حَبيب الحافظ، حدثنا محمد بن الصَّبَّاح. وحدثنا أبو سعيد أحمد بن يعقوب الثَّقَفي، حدثنا أحمد بن يحيى الحُلْواني، حدثنا محمد بن الصَّبَّاح الدُّولابي، حدثنا إسماعيل بن زكريا، عن عاصم، عن الشَّعْبي وعكرمة، عن ابن عباس، قال: رأي محمدٌ ﷺ ربَّه (1). وله شاهدٌ ثالث صحيح الإسناد:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saw his Lord.
This is a second sahih supporting report (shahid) from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the vision of Allah.

(1) إسناده قوي. عاصم: هو ابن سليمان الأحول، والشعبي: هو عامر بن شراحيل.
Grading: (1) Its chain is "qawi" (strong). Asim: he is Ibn Sulayman al-Ahwal; and al-Sha'bi: he is Amir bin Sharahil.
وأخرجه ابن أبي عاصم في "السنة" (435)، وابن خزيمة في "التوحيد" 1/ 486 و 487، وابن منده في "الإيمان" (760) من طرق عن محمد بن الصباح، بهذا الإسناد. ووقع في المطبوع من ابن أبي عاصم وابن خزيمة: الشعبي عن عكرمة، وهو خطأ في هذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ibn Abi Asim narrated it in "al-Sunnah" (435), Ibn Khuzaymah in "al-Tawhid" (1/486, 487) and Ibn Mandah in "al-Iman" (760) through various routes from Muhammad bin al-Sabbah with this same chain.
Note / Clarification: In the printed editions of Ibn Abi Asim and Ibn Khuzaymah it appears as "al-Sha'bi from Ikrimah", which is an "error" in this chain.
وأخرجه عبد الله بن أحمد في "السنة" (1044) عن محمد بن بكار، عن إسماعيل بن زكريا، به.
Reference / Source: Abd Allah bin Ahmad narrated it in "al-Sunnah" (1044) from Muhammad bin Bakkar, from Isma'il bin Zakariyya, with this same chain.
وسيأتي بنحوه برقم (3273) من طريق عكرمة عن ابن عباس.
