It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah Almighty sends down ten mercies upon him and erases ten of his sins."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This is a "sahih" hadith; the chain is "hasan" on account of Yunus bin Abi Ishaq, and his father also corroborated him. Reference / Source: Ahmad, al-Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban recorded it. Some narrations contain the addition: "Ten degrees are raised for him." Technical note: The narration of Makhlad bin Yazid has the addition of "al-Hasan al-Basri"; it is possible that Burayd first heard it through al-Hasan al-Basri and then directly from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), so both kinds of narration are correct. According to Imam Ibn al-Qayyim, the chain is connected even without mentioning al-Hasan al-Basri. Grading: Diya' al-Maqdisi preferred Burayd's narration directly from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), because it explicitly states that he heard it.
