حدثني علي بن عيسى الحِيْري، حدثنا الحسين بن محمد القَبّاني، حدثنا جَميل بن الحَسن الجَهضَمي، حدثنا أبو هَمَّام محمد بن الزِّبْرِقان الأَهوازي، حدثنا سُليمان التَّيمي، عن أبي عثمان، عن سَلْمان، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "إِنَّ الله لَيستحْيي مِن العبدِ أن يرفَعَ إليه يدَيه فيردَّهما خائبتَين" (1). هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah is too modest to let a servant raise his hands to Him and then turn them back empty and disappointed."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.

Grading: This hadith is "sahih"; this chain has some softness (weakness) because of Jamil bin al-Hasan, but he is corroborated at nos. (1851) and (1852). وأخرجه ابن حبان (880) عن أحمد بن يحيى بن زهير، عن جميل بن الحسن، بهذا الإسناد. Reference / Source: Ibn Hibban (880) narrated it through the chain of Ahmad bin Yahya from Jamil bin al-Hasan.
