It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that when revelation descended upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a sound like the buzzing of bees would be heard near his blessed face. We remained silent for a while; then he (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards the qiblah, raised his hands and said: 'Allahumma zidna wa la tanqusna, wa akrimna wa la tuhinna, wa a'tina wa la tahrimna, wa athirna wa la tu'thir 'alayna, wardha 'anna wa ardina' (O Allah, give us more and do not decrease us, honour us and do not disgrace us, give to us and do not deprive us, favour us and do not favour (others) over us, and be pleased with us and make us pleased (with what You give)). Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ten verses have been revealed to me; whoever abides by them will enter Paradise." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "Successful indeed are the believers" [Surah al-Mu'minun: 1].
This hadith is sahih al-isnad (authentic in its chain), but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Note / Clarification: The printed edition has the additional words "fa-anzala 'alayhi yawman" (and one day it was revealed to him), which are not in any of our manuscripts, nor in Imam al-Bayhaqi's "al-Da'awat" (240), even though he narrated it from the author with this same chain; these words are, however, established in some other sources.
1/ (234)!! Grading: Its chain is "da'if" because Yunus bin Sulaym al-San'ani is majhul (unknown); Technical note: Indeed, Imam 'Abd al-Razzaq himself said: I think he is nothing; and Imam al-Nasa'i called it "munkar". Important point: Despite this, Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat", al-Baghawi declared it "hasan" and al-Diya' al-Maqdisi declared it "sahih"!! 1/ (223). Reference / Source: This narration is also in "Musnad Ahmad" (1/223). Reference / Source: Imam al-Tirmidhi narrated it immediately after hadith (3173) through Muhammad bin Aban al-Balkhi from 'Abd al-Razzaq. Reference / Source: Imam al-Tirmidhi also narrated it at (3173) through Yahya bin Musa, 'Abd bin Humayd and others, but "Yunus bin Yazid al-Ayli" is not mentioned in it. Grading: Imam al-Tirmidhi says that mentioning Yunus bin Yazid al-Ayli is more correct; he heard from Ishaq bin Mansur that Yunus bin Yazid is mentioned in the narrations of Imam Ahmad, Ibn al-Madini and Ibn Rahawayh. General principle: Those who heard from 'Abd al-Razzaq in the early period mention Yunus bin Yazid, and this is more correct.
