Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1967

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to make this supplication: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa min tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa min fuja'ati niqmatik, wa min jami'i sakhatik' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the loss of Your blessing, from the change of the well-being You have granted, from Your sudden punishment, and from every form of Your displeasure). Ibn Wahb said that Ya'qub narrated it from Ibn Umar with a connected chain, whereas Hafs narrated it as mursal.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.

Hadith Takhrij «
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "sahih". Ya'qub bin 'Abd al-Rahman is a thiqah narrator.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Muslim, al-Nasa'i and Abu Dawud. Imam al-Hakim's including it in al-Mustadrak is an oversight on his part, since it is a hadith of Sahih Muslim.

Note / Clarification: Something like this does not harm the authenticity of the connected narration, because the one who narrated it with a full chain is thiqah and precise.
