It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who mention the greatness and majesty of Allah, uttering the tahmid, tasbih, takbir and tahlil: these (words) bend around the Throne, with a humming like the humming of bees, mentioning the one who said them. Does not any of you love to have something with the Most Merciful that keeps reminding (Him) of him?"
This hadith is sahih al-isnad (its chain is authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note: The author named him "Musa bin Salim" here, which is either an error by him or by someone above him, or a corruption in some old manuscripts; the correct name is Musa bin Muslim al-Hizami, Abu Isa al-Tahhan, known as Musa al-Saghir. Imam al-Dhahabi did not notice this error, so he objected to the author's authentication of this hadith, saying: "Musa bin Salim: Abu Hatim said he is munkar al-hadith."
Note / Clarification: The source works have "yudhakkirna" (they remind) instead of the reading of the manuscripts, but the meaning is the same: as though these words speak on behalf of the one who said them and so make mention of him (before Allah). Allah knows best.
Technical note: The text between square brackets [ ] had dropped out of our manuscripts, and we restored it from the printed edition, since the meaning is not sound without it; it also appears thus in the source works.
Grading: Its chain is sahih. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (30/18362) narrated it from Abd Allah bin Numayr, with this chain, and there Musa's name is correct (Ibn Muslim al-Tahhan). His chain contains a doubt ("from Awn bin Abd Allah, from his father or from his brother, from al-Nu'man bin Bashir"), but this does not harm the ruling on the hadith, because his father Abd Allah and his brother Ubayd Allah are both thiqah narrators of al-Bukhari and Muslim. (1876). Repetition: This hadith will come again under number (1876).
