أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن علي بن عبد الحميد الصَّنعاني بمكة، حدثنا علي بن المبارك الصَّنعاني، حدثنا زيد بن المبارك الصَّنعاني، حدثنا مَعْمَر بن راشد الصَّنعاني، عن عبد الكريم الجَزَري، عن سعيد بن جُبَير قال: أتى رجلٌ ابنَ عباس فقال: إني آجَرْتُ نفسي من قوم، فتركتُ لهم بعض أجري ليُخَلُّوا بيني وبين المناسك، فهل يُجزئ ذلك عنِّي؟ فقال ابن عباس: هذا من الذين قال الله ﷿: ﴿أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ نَصِيبٌ مِمَّا كَسَبُوا وَاللَّهُ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ﴾ [البقرة: 202] (1).

It is narrated from Sa'id bin Jubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man came to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said: "I hired myself out as a labourer to some people, then I gave up part of my wage so that they would let me perform the rites of Hajj. Will this suffice for me?" Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "This man is among those about whom Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: 'Those will have a share of what they have earned, and Allah is swift in reckoning.' [Surah al-Baqarah: 202]"
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل زيد بن المبارك وعلي بن المبارك الصنعانيين، وقد توبعا. عبد الكريم الجزري: هو ابن مالك.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and the chain is "hasan" because of Zayd bin al-Mubarak and 'Ali bin al-Mubarak, and they are corroborated (mutaba'ah).
Technical note: 'Abd al-Karim al-Jazari is Ibn Malik.
وأخرجه عبد الرزاق في "التفسير" 1/ 80، ومن طريقه ابن خزيمة (3053) عن معمر بن راشد، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by 'Abd al-Razzaq (in his Tafsir) and Ibn Khuzaymah (3053) through Ma'mar bin Rashid, with this same chain.
وأخرجه مسدد كما في "المطالب العالية" (1149)، والبيهقي في "السنن الكبرى" 4/ 333، وفي "معرفة السنن والآثار" (9173) و (9174) من طريق عطاء بن أبي رباح، عن ابن عباس.

وسيأتي الحديث من طريق مسلم البطين عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس برقم (3136).
Repetition: This narration will come later at number (3136) through Muslim al-Batin from Sa'id bin Jubayr from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him).
