It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when nard was mentioned in his presence, and he ((peace and blessings be upon him)) said: "Whoever strikes its dice (to play with them) has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger; he has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger."
