حدَّثَناه أبو بكر بن إسحاق الفقيه، أخبرنا محمد بن غالب، حدثنا أبو حذيفة، حدثنا سفيان. وحدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا أبو المثنى، حدثنا مسدَّد، حدثنا يحيى، عن سفيان، عن أبي بكر بن أبي الجَهْم، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عُتْبة، عن ابن عباس قال: صلَّى رسول الله ﷺ صلاةَ الخوف بذي قَرَدٍ، فصفَّ خَلفَه صفًّا، وصفًّا موازيَ العدو، فصلَّى معه ركعةً ثم ذهبوا إلى مَصافِّ أولئك، وجاء أولئك إلى مَصافِّ هؤلاء، فصلَّوا مع النبي ﷺ ركعةً ثم سلَّم عليهم (2).

Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the fear prayer at Dhu Qarad. He (peace and blessings be upon him) formed one row behind him and one row facing the enemy. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) led those with him in one rak'ah; then they went to the place of the others, and the others came to their place, and they prayed one rak'ah with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave them the salam."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it with these words.

(2) إسناده صحيح. أبو حذيفة: هو موسى بن مسعود النهدي، وأبو المثنى: هو معاذ بن المثنى. ¤ ¤ وانظر ما قبله.
Grading: (2) Its chain is sahih. Abu Hudhayfah refers to Musa bin Mas'ud and Abu al-Muthanna to Mu'adh bin al-Muthanna.
