حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الصَّفَّار، حدثنا أحمد بن مِهْران الأصبهاني، حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى، أخبرنا شَيبان، عن الأعمش، عن علي بن الأقمَر (1)، عن الأغرِّ أبي مسلم، عن أبي سعيد وأبي هريرة قالا: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "من استيقَظَ من الليل وأيقَظَ أهلَه، فصلَّيَا ركعتين جميعًا، كُتبا من الذَّاكِرِينَ الله كثيرًا والذَّاكراتِ" (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id and Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wakes up at night and wakes his family as well, and then the two of them pray two rak'ahs together, both of them are written among the men who remember Allah much and the women who remember Allah much."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(2) حديث صحيح، على اختلاف في حديث أبي سعيد الخدري في رفعه ووقفه، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل أحمد بن مهران، وقد توبع. شيبان: هو ابن عبد الرحمن التميمي، والأعمش: هو سليمان بن مهران.
Grading: (2) It is a "sahih hadith", although there is disagreement over whether the narration of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri is marfu' or mawquf. This chain is "hasan" because of Ahmad bin Mihran, and he has been corroborated.
وأخرجه أبو داود (1309) و (1451)، والنسائي (1312) و (11342)، وابن حبان (2568) من طرق عن عبيد الله بن موسى، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (1309), al-Nasa'i (1312) and Ibn Hibban (2568) narrated it through various routes from 'Ubaydullah bin Musa.
وأخرجه ابن ماجه (1335)، وابن حبان (2569) من طريق الوليد بن مسلم، عن شيبان بن عبد الرحمن، به.
Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (1335) and Ibn Hibban narrated it through the chain of al-Walid bin Muslim from Shayban.
وسيأتي برقم (3603) من طريق سفيان الثوري، عن علي بن الأقمر، عن الأغر، عن أبي هريرة وأبي سعيد، موقوفًا. وانظر "علل الدارقطني" (1649).
Repetition: It will come later at number (3603) as "mawquf" through the route of Sufyan al-Thawri.
