Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1155

حدثنا محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حدثنا الحسين بن الفضل، حدثنا مسلم بن إبراهيم وسليمانُ بن حرب، قالا: حدثنا جرير بن حازم، عن قيس بن سعد، عن عطاء: أنه كان يُوتِر بثلاثٍ لا يجلس فيهنَّ ولا يتشهدُ إلّا في آخرِهنَّ (2).
It is narrated about Ata' (may Allah have mercy on him) that he used to pray three rak'ahs of witr, not sitting in them (in the middle) nor reciting the tashahhud except at the end of them.

Grading: (2) Its chain is sahih. Ata' bin Abi Rabah al-Makki is among its narrators.
وأخرجه البيهقي 3/ 455 عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: al-Bayhaqi (3/455) narrated it through the chain of Imam al-Hakim.
