Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would come out (to the prayer ground) on the day of Eid al-Fitr and lead those two rak'ahs, then say the salam, then stand and face the people while they were seated, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: "Give charity, give charity, give charity." The narrator said: Those who gave the most charity were the women, who would offer even their earrings and rings. [End of the Book of the Two Eids - Beginning of the Book of Witr]
