Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 1128

فحدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، أخبرنا العباس بن الوليد بن مَزْيَد، حدثنا أبي، قال: سمعتُ الأوزاعيَّ - وسُئِلَ عن التكبير يومَ عرفة - فقال: يُكبَّر من غَداةِ عرفة إلى آخرِ أيام التشريق، كما كبَّر عليٌّ وعبد الله (2).
Imam al-Awza'i (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about the takbirat of the Day of Arafah, and he said: The takbirat are to be said from the morning of the Day of Arafah until the last of the days of Tashriq, just as Sayyiduna Ali and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both) said them.
