It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that rain fell on the day of Eid, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led them in the Eid prayer in the mosque.
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. Abu Yahya al-Taymi is saduq (truthful); the criticism applies only to his son Yahya bin Ubaydullah.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note: (2) In the manuscripts it had become "'an"; the correct form is "Ibn".
Grading: (3) The chain is da'if because of the jahalah (unknown condition) of Abu Yahya Ubaydullah al-Taymi and Isa bin Abd al-A'la. Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (1160) narrated it through the chain of al-Rabi' bin Sulayman, by this same chain. Reference / Source: Abu Dawud narrated it through the chain of Hisham bin Ammar, and Ibn Majah (1313) through the chain of al-Dimashqi, from al-Walid bin Muslim. Technical note: Hisham bin Ammar did not name Isa, but rather said "a man of the Farwis" (al-Farwiyyin).
