It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Once, when I was a child playing with other children, suddenly a man came and he grabbed me and split open my stomach. He took out a clot of congealed blood from it and threw it away, saying, "This was the portion of Satan in your body." Then he washed my stomach with Zamzam water from a golden basin, then sewed it up and stitched it. Seeing this, all the children ran to my mother and said, "Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has been killed." My mother came running and saw that the color of the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was changing. Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that we used to see the marks of the stitching on the blessed chest of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a woman sees such a "dream" and experiences discharge, then she should perform ghusl (ritual bath). Umm al-Mu'mineen Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Can this also happen?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes! The fluid of a man is thick and white, and the fluid of a woman is thin. Whichever of the two prevails, the child resembles that one.

He asked me, "Who are you?" I told him that my name is Waqid and I am the grandson of Hazrat Sa'd bin Mu'adh, may Allah be pleased with him. He said, "You greatly resemble Sa'd," then he was overcome with weeping and cried for a long time. Then he said, "May Allah's mercy descend upon Sa'd; he was a great and tall man among the people." Then he said that once the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sent an army towards Akid Roomah. He (Akid Roomah) sent to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, a silk cloak "which was embroidered with gold." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, wore it and ascended the pulpit, stood or sat, but did not say anything. After a short while, he descended, and people began to touch and look at the cloak. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Are you amazed at this?" The people said, "We have never seen a garment better than this before."
