Hadith Referenceمسند احمد / مسند المكثرين من الصحابة / 13697
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to be pleased with good dreams and sometimes would ask, "Has any of you seen a dream?" If someone had seen a dream, he would ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for its interpretation. If there was nothing distressing in it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would also be pleased with that. In this context, a woman came and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I saw in a dream as if I entered Paradise. There I heard a voice that made Paradise tremble. Suddenly, I saw that so-and-so son of so-and-so and so-and-so son of so-and-so were being brought." She mentioned the names of twelve men whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had previously sent on an expedition. The woman stated that when they were brought there, the clothes on their bodies had turned black and their veins were swollen. Someone said to them, "Take these people to the river Sadkh or the river Baydakh." So they were made to dive into it, and when they came out, their faces were shining like the full moon of the fourteenth night. Then golden chairs were brought, and they sat on them. Then a tray was brought in which there were fresh dates, and they began to eat those dates. During this, whichever date they turned over, they would find fruit to eat as they wished, and I also kept eating with them. After some time, a man from that army came with the news of victory and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Such and such happened with us, and so-and-so and so-and-so were martyred." While saying this, he mentioned the same twelve men whose names the woman had told. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Call this woman to me again." When she came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her, "Describe your dream in front of this man." She described it, and he said, "It happened exactly as she has described to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."

Hakeem asked him, "From whom do you remember this hadith?" He replied, "From the Prophet (peace be upon him) and from Hazrat Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them)." Then he became silent. Hakeem asked him, "Also from Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him)?" He replied, "Yes!"

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out towards Badr, he consulted the people. In response, Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) gave an opinion. Then, when he asked for advice again, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) gave an opinion. Seeing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent. The Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah! Perhaps you mean us?" Hazrat Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! By the One in Whose hand is my soul, if you command us, we will plunge into the seas, and if you command us, we will go to Bark al-Ghamad, driving our camels. Therefore, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the matter is in your hands." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then prepared his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and set out, and camped at Badr. Some spies of the Quraysh came, among them was a black slave of Banu Hajjaj. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) captured him and asked him about Abu Sufyan and his companions. He said, "I do not know about Abu Sufyan, but the Quraysh, Abu Jahl, and Umayyah bin Khalaf have arrived." When they beat him, he started telling them about Abu Sufyan, and when they let him go, he said, "What do I know about Abu Sufyan? But the Quraysh have arrived." At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying. After finishing the prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When he tells you the truth, you beat him, and when he lies, you let him go." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with his hand and said, "InshaAllah, tomorrow so-and-so will fall here, and so-and-so will fall here." Thus, when the confrontation took place, Allah defeated the polytheists, and by Allah, not a single man was displaced from the place the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had indicated.
