Hadith 10425
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، عَنِ
الْأَعْمَشِ ,
وَيَعْلَى ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" قَارِبُوا وَسَدِّدُوا ، فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يُنَجِّيَ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ " ، قُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّه ، وَلَا أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ : " وَلَا أَنَا ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ وَفَضْلٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Remain close to the straight path and stay on the right way! For none of you will be saved by his deeds. A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), not even you?" He replied, "Not even me, unless my Lord covers me with His forgiveness and mercy."
Hadith 10426
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 10427
حَدَّثَنَا

وَيَعْلَى ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" تَجِدُ شَرَّ النَّاسِ ، وَقَالَ يَعْلَى : تَجِدُ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ذَا الْوَجْهَيْنِ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ : الَّذِي يَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِحَدِيثِ هَؤُلَاءِ ، وَهَؤُلَاءِ بِحَدِيثِ هَؤُلَاءِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the people, the worst person you will find is the one who is two-faced; he comes to some people with one face and to others with another face.
Hadith 10428
حَدَّثَنَا

الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَلَا يَرْفُثْ ، وَلَا يَجْهَلْ ، فَإِنْ جَهِلَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ ، فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ صَائِمٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you is fasting on any day, he should neither speak indecently nor act ignorantly. If someone behaves ignorantly towards him, he should say, "I am fasting."
Hadith 10429
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
" ذَرُونِي مَا تَرَكْتُكُمْ ، فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِسُؤَالِهِمْ ، وَاخْتِلَافِهِمْ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ ، فَإِذَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ ، فَخُذُوا مِنْهُ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ ، وَإِذَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ ، فَانْتَهُوا " .
It is narrated from the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When I leave you regarding a matter, then you also leave me regarding it, because the nations before you were destroyed only due to excessive questioning and differing with their prophets. Whatever I forbid you from, abstain from it, and whatever I command you, do it to the best of your ability.
Hadith 10430
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
" رُؤْيَا الْمُسْلِمِ ، أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ ، جُزْءٌ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: The dream of a Muslim, which he sees himself or someone else sees for him, is one forty-sixth part of prophethood.
Hadith 10431
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ،
لَا تَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا ، وَلَا تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا ، إِنْ شِئْتُمْ دَلَلْتُكُمْ عَلَى أَمْرٍ ، إِنْ فَعَلْتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبْتُمْ " ، قَالُوا : أَجَلْ ، قَالَ : " أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ بَيْنَكُمْ " .
It is narrated from the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, you will not enter Paradise until you become complete believers, and you will not become complete believers until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread the greeting of peace among yourselves.
Hadith 10432
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" كَانَ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ غُصْنُ شَجَرَةٍ يُؤْذِي النَّاسَ فَأَمَاطَهَا رَجُلٌ ، فَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that a man removed a thorny branch from the path of the Muslims, and due to its blessing, he entered Paradise.
Hadith 10433
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ
الْوِصَالِ " ، قَالُوا إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ ، قَالَ : " إِنِّي لَيْسَ مِثْلَكُمْ ، إِنِّي أَظَلُّ عِنْدَ رَبِّي ، يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِي ، اكْلَفُوا مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ " .
It is narrated from the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Protect yourselves from fasting continuously with only one pre-dawn meal (suhoor)." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), you fast continuously in this manner." The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "You are not like me in this matter. I spend the night in such a state that my Lord Himself feeds and gives me drink. Therefore, take upon yourselves only as much as you have the strength to bear."
Hadith 10434
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" اثْنَتَانِ فِي النَّاسِ هُمَا بِهِمْ كُفْرٌ الطَّعْنُ فِي النَّسَبِ ، وَالنِّيَاحَةُ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: Two things are acts of disbelief; one is wailing (over the dead) and the other is casting aspersions on someone's lineage.
Hadith 10435
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ ، فَأَيُّمَا مُسْلِمٍ سَبَبْتُهُ ، أَوْ لَعَنْتُهُ ، أَوْ جَلَدْتُهُ ، فَاجْعَلْهَا لَهُ زَكَاةً وَرَحْمَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am also a human being. (O Allah) Whomever I have (unknowingly) spoken harshly to, cursed, or struck, make it a means of purification and mercy for that person.
Hadith 10436

وَيَعْلَى ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ : عَبْدِي ، فَكُلُّكُمْ عَبْدٌ ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ : فَتَايَ ، وَلَا يَقُلْ : رَبِّي ، فَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ اللَّهُ ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ : سَيِّدِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you should say regarding his slave, "Abdi" (my slave), because you are all slaves; rather, he should say, "My young man." And none of you should say regarding his master, "My Rabb" (my lord), because your Lord is Allah; rather, he should say, "My chief, my master."
Hadith 10437
حَدَّثَنَا

الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" لَأَنْ يَأْخُذَ أَحَدُكُمْ حَبْلًا ، فَيَأْتِيَ الْجَبَلَ فَيَحْتَطِبَ مِنْهُ ، فَيَبِيعَهُ فَيَأْكُلَ وَيَتَصَدَّقَ ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ شَيْئًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is much better that one of you takes a rope, gathers firewood, carries it on his back, sells it, and eats from what he earns or gives it in charity, rather than asking people.
Hadith 10438
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not speak ill of time, for Allah says: I am the creator of time; the day and night are in My hand, and I am the One who alternates the day and night, and I am the One who brings kings one after another.
Hadith 10439

عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ
الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ
الشِّغَارِ ، وَالشِّغَارُ : أَنْ يَقُولَ الرَّجُلُ لِلرَّجُلِ : زَوِّجْنِي ابْنَتَكَ وَأُزَوِّجُكَ ابْنَتِي ، أَوْ زَوِّجْنِي أُخْتَكَ وَأُزَوِّجُكَ أُخْتِي ، قَالَ : وَنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَرَرِ ، وَعَنِ الْحَصَاةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade exchange marriages (watay satay) in which, without specifying a dowry, the exchange of relations itself is considered as the dowry. He also forbade deceptive trade and selling by throwing pebbles.
Hadith 10440
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Near the Day of Judgment, faith will withdraw to Madinah just as a snake withdraws into its hole.
Hadith 10441
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade two types of prayer, two types of buying and selling, and two types of clothing. As for clothing, it is that a person sits wrapped in a single garment with nothing covering his private parts, even a little, and that a person wraps himself in his lower garment while praying. And he forbade the sale of "Mulamasah" and "Munabadhah."
Hadith 10442
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
يَحْيَى ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي أَوْ عَلَى النَّاسِ ، لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ لَا أَتَخَلَّفَ خَلْفَ سَرِيَّةٍ تَخْرُجُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَلَكِنْ لَا أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُهُمْ عَلَيْهِ ، وَلَا يَجِدُونَ مَا يَتَحَمَّلُونَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَيَخْرُجُونَ فَوَدِدْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّه ، فَأُقْتَلَ ثُمَّ أُحْيَا ، ثُمَّ أُقْتَلَ ثُمَّ أُحْيَا ، ثُمَّ أُقْتَلَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I did not think that it would put hardship on the Muslims, I would never stay behind from any expedition set out in the way of Allah. But I do not have enough means to provide them with mounts, nor do they themselves possess mounts so that they could set out. I wish that I could fight in the way of Allah and attain martyrdom, then be granted life again, participate in jihad, and be martyred, then participate in jihad and be martyred again.
Hadith 10443
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ , عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، قََالَ : كَانَ
أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ " يُصَلِّي بِالْمَدِينَةِ نَحْوًا مِنْ صَلَاةِ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، هَكَذَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي ؟ قَالَ : وَمَا أَنْكَرْتَ مِنْ صَلَاتِي ؟ قُلْتُ : لَا وَاللَّهِ إِلَّا خَيْرًا ، إِنِّي أَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ , وَأَجْوَزُ " .
Abu Khalid (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to lead the prayer in Madinah Munawwarah in the manner of Qais bin Abi Hazim. Once I asked Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), "Did the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also use to lead the prayer in this way (as you lead us)?" Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "What do you find unusual or foreign in my prayer?" I said, "This is what I wanted to ask you about." He said, "Yes, rather (the Prophet's prayer) was even shorter than this."
Hadith 10444
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Wine is made from these two trees—one is the date-palm and the other is the grapevine.
Hadith 10445
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Travel is a portion of torment; it deprives one of food, drink, and sleep. So when one of you has fulfilled his need, let him return to his family as soon as possible."
Hadith 10446
حَدَّثَنَا
وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ
أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا , ثُمَّ قَالَ :
" أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ أَنْ يَجِدَ فِيهِ ثَلَاثَ خَلِفَاتٍ عِظَامٍ سِمَانٍ ؟ لَثَلَاثُ آيَاتٍ يَقْرَؤُهُنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ ثَلَاثِ خَلِفَاتٍ عِظَامٍ سِمَانٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Does any one of you like that he should return to his family with three healthy, pregnant she-camels?" The companions said, "Yes (everyone would like that)." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever recites three verses of the Holy Qur'an in prayer, for him these three verses are better than three pregnant she-camels."
Hadith 10447
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever regularly performs two rak'ahs of Duha prayer, all his sins will be forgiven, even if they are as much as the foam of the sea.
Hadith 10448
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A woman is like a rib; if you try to straighten her, you will break her, and if you leave her as she is, you will benefit from her despite her crookedness.
Hadith 10449
Naeem al-Mujammir (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once he prayed behind Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). When he recited Surah Al-Fatihah and at the end said "ghayril maghdubi 'alayhim walad-dallin," he said Ameen. Then he said the takbeer to bow down, and after finishing (the prayer), he said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, I am the most similar to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) among you in prayer."
Hadith 10450
حَدَّثَنَا
مُعْتَمِرٌ ، عَنْ
لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ
مُجَاهِدٍ ,
وَشَهْرٍ , عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : " أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي بِثَلَاثٍ :
أَنْ لَا أَنَامَ إِلَّا عَلَى وِتْرٍ ، وَأَنْ أَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ، وَأَنْ لَا أَدَعَ رَكْعَتَيْ الضُّحَى " . قََالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : وَجَدْتُ هَذَيْنِ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي بِخَطِّ يَدِهِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that my beloved friend (peace be upon him) advised me regarding three things (which I will not leave until my death): (1) To perform the Witr prayer before sleeping, (2) To fast three days in every month, (3) Never to abandon two rak'ahs of the Duha (forenoon) prayer.
Hadith 10451
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not fast one or two days before Ramadan, except for a person who has the habit of fasting, then he may fast. Begin fasting upon sighting the moon and celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr upon sighting the moon; if the sky is overcast, then complete thirty days of fasting.
Hadith 10452
حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي
الْأَشْعَثُ ، عَنْ
مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :
" أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ فُقِدَتْ ، فَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ : الْفَأْرُ هِيَ أَمْ لَا ! أَلَا تَرَى أَنَّهَا إِذَا وُضِعَ لَهَا أَلْبَانُ الْإِبِلِ ، لَمْ تَطْعَمْهُ ؟ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A group from the Children of Israel went missing; no one could find out where they went. I think that they became mice. Do you not observe that if camel's milk is placed before them, they do not drink it?
Hadith 10453
حَدَّثَنَا
هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنِي
الْمُبَارَكُ ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" عَلَى ابْنِ آدَمَ ثَلَاثُ عُقَدٍ بِحَرِيرٍ إِذَا بَاتَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَإِنْ هُوَ تَعَارَّ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، انْحَلَّتْ عُقْدَةٌ ، فَإِنْ تَوَضَّأَ انْحَلَّتْ عُقْدَةٌ ، فَإِنْ قَامَ فَعَزَمَ فَصَلَّى انْحَلَّتْ الْعُقَدُ جَمِيعًا ، وَإِنْ هُوَ بَاتَ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ ، وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ ، أَصْبَحَ وَعَلَيْهِ الْعُقَدُ جَمِيعًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: During the night, three knots are tied at the back of the head of the son of Adam. If the servant wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is untied. If he performs ablution, two knots are untied. And if he offers prayer, all the knots are untied. And if he spends the night without remembering Allah, nor performing ablution and prayer, until morning comes, then he wakes up with all those knots still tied.

حَدَّثَنَا
هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
الْمُبَارَكُ ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ ، قََالَ : بَيْنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ أَصْحَابَهُ ، إِذْ أَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَهُوَ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ ، فَأَقْبَلَ وَعَلَيْهِ حُلَّةٌ لَهُ ، فَجَعَلَ يَمِيسُ فِيهَا حَتَّى قَامَ عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا
أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، هَلْ عِنْدَكَ فِي حُلَّتِي هَذِهِ مِنْ فُتْيَا ، فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَيْهِ ، وَقَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الصَّادِقُ الْمَصْدُوقُ خَلِيلِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :
" بَيْنَا رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ ، يَتَبَخْتَرُ بَيْنَ بُرْدَيْنِ ، فَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَأَمَرَ الْأَرْضَ فَبَلَعَتْهُ ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، إِنَّهُ لَيَتَجَلْجَلُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " ، اذْهَبْ أَيُّهَا الرَّجُلُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ .
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) was narrating hadiths in front of his students when a man wearing a silk garment came and, standing near Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), said, "O Abu Hurairah! Do you have any verdict regarding this garment of mine?" He raised his head towards him and said, "The Truthful and Trusted, my beloved Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him), informed me that a man, dressed in his precious robe, was walking arrogantly, boasting about himself, when suddenly Allah caused him to be swallowed by the earth, and now he will continue to sink in the earth until the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 10456
حَدَّثَنَا
هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
الْمُبَارَكُ ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :
" لَا تُبَاشِرُ الْمَرْأَةُ الْمَرْأَةَ ، وَلَا يُبَاشِرُ الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No woman should touch her naked body with another woman, and likewise, no man should do so with another man.
Hadith 10457
حَدَّثَنَا
إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ
يُونُسَ ، عَنِ
الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ :
" إِذَا نَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، عُقِدَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثُ عُقَدٍ بِجَرِيرٍ ، فَإِنْ قَامَ فَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، أُطْلِقَتْ وَاحِدَةٌ ، وَإِنْ مَضَى فَتَوَضَّأَ أُطْلِقَتْ الثَّانِيَةُ ، فَإِنْ مَضَى فَصَلَّى أُطْلِقَتْ الثَّالِثَةُ ، فَإِنْ أَصْبَحَ وَلَمْ يَقُمْ شَيْئًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ ، أَصْبَحَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ " , يَعْنِي : الْجَرِيرَ .

حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ
مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ
أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : قََالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" أَحْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا ، أَوْ انْعَلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا ، فَإِذَا لَبِسْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى ، وَإِذَا خَلَعْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wear both shoes or take off both. When any one of you puts on shoes, he should start with the right foot, and when he takes them off, he should take off the left foot first.
Hadith 10459
حَدَّثَنَا
حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ
مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ
أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : وَكَانَ يَمُرُّ بِنَا وَالنَّاسُ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ مِنَ الْمَطْهَرَةِ : أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ ، فَإِنَّ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قََالَ :
" وَيْلٌ لِلْعَقِبِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Muhammad bin Ziyad says that once Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by some people who were performing ablution. Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "May Allah have mercy on you, perform ablution thoroughly. Have you not heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'Woe to the heels from the fire of Hell'?"
Hadith 10460
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the day of Friday, there comes such an hour that if a Muslim servant happens to encounter it while asking Allah for goodness, Allah will surely grant him that thing. And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated with his hand to show the brevity of that hour.
Hadith 10461
حَدَّثَنَا
حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ
سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :
" مَا كَانَ أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ مِنَ الْإِزَارِ ، فَهُوَ فِي النَّارِ " ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : وَكَانَ سَعِيدٌ قَدْ كَبِرَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The part of the trousers that hangs below the ankles will be in Hell.
Hadith 10462
حَدَّثَنَا
حَجَّاجٌ ,
وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا
شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ
مَنْصُورٍ , قََالَ شُعْبَةُ كَتَبَ بِهِ إِلَيَّ فَقَرَأْتُهُ عَلَيْهِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي عُثْمَانَ مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قال عبد الله : قال أبي , ولم يرفعه , , قََالَ :
" مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ يُصَلِّي فِي يَوْمٍ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً تَطَوُّعًا ، إِلَّا بُنِيَ لَهُ بَيْتٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .
It is narrated (as a mawquf narration) from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that any Muslim servant who offers twelve rak‘ahs as voluntary prayers in a day, a house will be built for him in Paradise.
Hadith 10463
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever vomits unintentionally, there is no obligation of making up the fast upon him, but whoever induces vomiting deliberately, he must make up his fast (because his fast is broken).
Hadith 10464
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "Can any one of us pray in a single garment?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Does each one of you have two garments?"
