Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 10345
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ لِأَهْلِهَا أَوْ مِيرَاثٌ لِأَهْلِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: To dedicate something as a waqf (endowment) for a lifetime is valid, and it becomes the inheritance of that person.
Hadith 10346
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الْقُرْدُوسِيُّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا يَخْطُبُ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ ، وَلَا يَسْتَامُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ ، وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا ، وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا ، وَلَا تَسْأَلُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ صَحْفَتَهَا ، وَلِتُنْكَحَ ، فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No townsman should sell the goods of a villager, nor should anyone deceive in a sale, nor should a man send a marriage proposal over the proposal of his brother, nor should he sell over the sale of his brother, and no woman should demand the divorce of her sister (whether real or religious) so that she may gather what is in her bowl or vessel for herself; rather, she should marry, for her sustenance is also the responsibility of Allah.
Hadith 10347
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , " أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ تَدَارَءَا فِي دَابَّةٍ ، ليسَ لواحدٍ منهما بَيِّنةٌ ، فأَمَرَهما رسولُ الله صلي الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَسْتَهِمَا عَلَى الْيَمِينِ ، أَحَبَّا أَوْ كَرِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was a dispute between two men regarding an animal, but neither of them had any witnesses to prove their ownership. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them to draw lots for the oath, either willingly or by compulsion (whoever's name was drawn would take the oath).
Hadith 10348
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَكَلَ أَوْ شَرِبَ فِي صَوْمِهِ نَاسِيًا ، فَلْيُتِمَّ صَوْمَهُ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَطْعَمَهُ وَسَقَاهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever, while fasting, forgetfully eats or drinks something, then he should complete his fast, for it is Allah who has fed him and given him drink.
Hadith 10349
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيُصَلِّ " ، يَعْنِي الدُّعَاءَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When any of you is invited (to a meal), he should certainly accept the invitation. If he is fasting, he should pray for them.
Hadith 10350
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْغُدَانِيِّ ، قََالَ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ جَالِسًا ، قََالَ : فَمَرَّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : هَذَا أَكْثَرُ عَامِرِيٍّ نَادَى مَالًا ، فَقَالَ : أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ رُدُّوهُ إِلَيَّ ، فَرَدُّوهُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : نُبِّئْتُ أَنَّكَ ذُو مَالٍ كَثِيرٍ ، فَقَالَ الْعَامِرِيُّ : إِي وَاللَّهِ ، إِنَّ لِي مِائَةً حُمْرًا وَمِائَةً أُدْمًا ، حَتَّى عَدَّ مِنْ أَلْوَانِ الْإِبِلِ ، وَأَفْنَانِ الرَّقِيقِ ، وَرِبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ إِيَّاكَ وَأَخْفَافَ الْإِبِلِ ، وَأَظْلَافَ الْغَنَمِ ، يُرَدِّدُ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ ، حَتَّى جَعَلَ لَوْنُ الْعَامِرِيِّ يَتَغَيَّرُ أَوْ يَتَلَوَّنُ ، فَقَالَ : مَا ذَاكَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؟ فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ إِبِلٌ لَا يُعْطِي حَقَّهَا فِي نَجْدَتِهَا وَرِسْلِهَا " ، قُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَمَا رِسْلُهَا وَنَجْدَتُهَا ؟ قَالَ : " فِي عُسْرِهَا وَيُسْرِهَا ، فَإِنَّهَا تَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَغَذِّ مَا كَانَتْ ، وَأَكْبَرِهِ وَأَسْمَنِهِ وَأَسَرِّهِ ثُمَّ يُبْطَحُ لَهَا بِقَاعٍ قَرْقَرٍ فَتَطَؤُهُ فِيهِ بِأَخْفَافِهَا ، إِذَا جَاوَزَتْهُ أُخْرَاهَا أُعِيدَتْ عَلَيْهِ أُولَاهَا ، فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ ، حَتَّى يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَيَرَى سَبِيلَهُ ، وَإِذَا كَانَتْ لَهُ بَقَرٌ لَا يُعْطِي حَقَّهَا فِي نَجْدَتِهَا وَرِسْلِهَا ، فَإِنَّهَا تَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَغَذِّ مَا كَانَتْ وَأَكْبَرِهِ وَأَسْمَنِهِ وَأَسَرِّهِ ، ثُمَّ يُبْطَحُ لَهَا بِقَاعٍ قَرْقَرٍ فَتَطَؤُهُ فِيهِ كُلُّ ذَاتِ ظِلْفٍ بِظِلْفِهَا ، وَتَنْطَحُهُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ قَرْنٍ بِقَرْنِهَا ، إِذَا جَاوَزَتْهُ أُخْرَاهَا أُعِيدَتْ عَلَيْهِ أُولَاهَا ، فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ ، حَتَّى يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ حَتَّى يَرَى سَبِيلَهُ ، وَإِذَا كَانَتْ لَهُ غَنَمٌ لَا يُعْطِي حَقَّهَا فِي نَجْدَتِهَا وَرِسْلِهَا ، فَإِنَّهَا تَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَغَذِّ مَا كَانَتْ وَأَكْبَرِهِ وَأَسْمَنِهِ وَأَسَرِّهِ ثُمَّ يُبْطَحُ لَهَا بِقَاعٍ قَرْقَرٍ فَتَطَؤُهُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ ظِلْفٍ بِظِلْفِهَا ، وَتَنْطَحُهُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ قَرْنٍ بِقَرْنِهَا يَعْنِي لَيْسَ فِيهَا عَقْصَاءُ , وَلَا عَضْبَاءُ , إِذَا جَاوَزَتْهُ أُخْرَاهَا أُعِيدَتْ أُولَاهَا ، فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ ، حَتَّى يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ، فَيَرَى سَبِيلَهُ " ، فَقَالَ الْعَامِرِيُّ : وَمَا حَقُّ الْإِبِلِ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؟ قَالَ : أَنْ تُعْطِيَ الْكَرِيمَةَ ، وَتَمْنَحَ الْغَزِيرَةَ ، وَتُفْقِرَ الظَّهْرَ ، وَتُسْقِيَ اللَّبَنَ ، وَتُطْرِقَ الْفَحْلَ .
Abu ‘Umar Ghadani (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was sitting with Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) when a man from Banu ‘Amir passed by. People told him that this person is the wealthiest among all the Banu ‘Amir. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “Bring him to me.” The people brought him. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, “I have heard that you are very wealthy?” He said, “Absolutely, I have one hundred red camels and one hundred wheat-colored camels.” In this way, he began to enumerate the different colors of camels, the number of slaves, and the stables of horses. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “Protect yourself from the hooves of camels and goats.” Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) repeated this so many times that his color changed and he began to say, “O Abu Hurairah! What is meant by this?” He said, and he began to say, “O Abu Hurairah! What is meant by this?” He said, “I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: That man who owns camels but does not pay their due right of zakat in hardship and ease, all those camels will come on the Day of Resurrection in a healthier state than before, and the surface of the earth will be made soft for them, so they will trample him with their hooves. As soon as the last camel passes, the first one will return, until Allah decides among His servants. That will be a day whose length, according to your reckoning, will be fifty thousand years. After that, he will be shown his path to either Paradise or Hell. And the person who owns cows and does not pay their due right of zakat in hardship and ease, all those cows will come on the Day of Resurrection in a healthier state than before, and the surface of the earth will be made soft for them, and every cow with a hoof will trample him with its hoof, and every cow with horns will gore and tear him with its horns. As soon as the last cow passes, the first one will return. That is the day whose length is equal to fifty thousand years. After that, he will be shown his path to either Paradise or Hell. Similarly, the man who owns goats but does not pay their due right of zakat, all those goats will come on the Day of Resurrection in a healthier state than before, and the surface of the earth will be made soft for them, then they will strike him with their horns and trample him with their hooves. Among them, there will be no goat with twisted horns or without horns. As soon as the last goat tramples him and passes, the first one will return, until Allah decides among His servants. That will be a day whose length, according to your reckoning, will be fifty thousand years. After that, he will be shown his path to either Paradise or Hell. That ‘Amiri asked, “O Abu Hurairah! What is the right of camels?” He said, “To give a good camel to someone, to gift a milking animal, to let someone ride on its back, to let someone drink its milk, and to allow the male to go to the female.”
Hadith 10351
قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْغُدَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 10352
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَ حَدِيثٍ ذَكَرَهُ , عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ أَبِي عُمَرَ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 10353
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ , قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أُرْسِلَ عَلَى أَيُّوبَ جَرَادٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، فَجَعَلَ يَلْتَقِطُهُ ، فَقَالَ : أَلَمْ أُغْنِكَ يَا أَيُّوبُ ؟ فَقَالَ : يَا رَبِّ ، وَمَنْ يَشْبَعُ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ ، أَوْ قَالَ : مِنْ فَضْلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Once Allah Almighty showered golden locusts upon Hazrat Ayub (peace be upon him). Hazrat Ayub (peace be upon him) began to gather them in his garment. Then a voice came: O Ayub! Is what We have given you not sufficient for you? He submitted: O Lord! Who can be free of need from Your grace?
Hadith 10354
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْعَجْوَةُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَهِيَ شِفَاءٌ مِنَ السُّمِّ ، وَالْكَمْأَةُ مِنَ الْمَنِّ ، وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The mushroom is a part of manna (which was sent down upon the Children of Israel), and its water is a cure for the eyes. And the Ajwa date is a date from Paradise, and its water is a cure for poison."
Hadith 10355
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ فَأْرَةٍ وَقَعَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ ، فَمَاتَتْ ؟ فَقَالَ : " إِنْ كَانَ جَامِدًا ، فَخُذُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا ، وَكُلُوا مَا بَقِيَ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مَائِعًا ، فَلَا تَأْكُلُوهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Once someone asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling if a mouse dies in ghee. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the ghee is solid, then remove the part (where the mouse fell) and the ghee around it, and then use the remaining ghee. But if the ghee is in liquid form, then do not use it.
Hadith 10356
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا فَرَعَ ، وَلَا عَتِيرَةَ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : وَالْفَرَعُ : كَانَ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَذْبَحُونَ أَوَّلَ نِتَاجٍ يَكُونُ لَهُمْ ، وَالْعَتِيرَةُ : ذَبِيحَةُ رَجَبٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no significance in Islam for offering sacrifice in the month of Rajab, nor is there any significance for sacrificing the first offspring of an animal in the name of idols.
Hadith 10357
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ ضَمْضَمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ " ، قُلْتُ لِيَحْيَى : مَا يَعْنِي بِالْأَسْوَدَيْنِ ؟ قَالَ : الْحَيَّةَ وَالْعَقْرَبَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had commanded that even during prayer, two black things can be killed. Yahya explained the two black things as the snake and the scorpion.
Hadith 10358
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ عَرَضَ لَهُ شَيْءٌ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَسْأَلَهُ فَلْيَقْبَلْهُ ، فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ رِزْقٌ سَاقَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever is given some wealth and property by Allah without asking, he should accept it, because it is sustenance that Allah has sent to him.
Hadith 10359
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ , وَحَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قََالَ : سُئِلَ قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ ، ثُمَّ طَلَعَتْ الشَّمْسُ ، قََالَ : عَفَّانُ ثُمَّ طَلَعَ قَرْنُ الشَّمْسِ ، فَقَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي خِلَاسٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ حَدَّثَهُ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يُتِمُّ صَلَاتَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) asked this question: If a man has prayed only one rak'ah of Fajr and then the sun rises, what is the ruling? He narrated with his chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Such a person should complete his prayer.
Hadith 10360
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يَأْتُونَ عَلَى أَبْوَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ يَكْتُبُونَ النَّاسَ عَلَى مَنَازِلِهِمْ جَاءَ فُلَانٌ مِنْ سَاعَةِ كَذَا ، قَالَ حَمَّادٌ : أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ : خَمْسَ مِرَارٍ , جَاءَ فُلَانٌ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ ، وَجَاءَ فُلَانٌ فَأَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَمْ يُدْرِكْ الْجُمُعَةَ ، أَوْ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ الْخُطْبَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the day of Friday, the angels stand at the doors of the mosque and record the ranks of the people, that such-and-such person came at such-and-such time, such-and-such person came at such-and-such time, such-and-such person came when the Imam was delivering the sermon, and such-and-such person came and only got the prayer but did not get the Friday (reward). They write this as long as no one has missed the sermon.
Hadith 10361
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تَخْرُجُ الدَّابَّةُ مَعَهَا عَصَا مُوسَى ، وَخَاتَمُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، فَتَجْلُو وَجْهَ الْمُؤْمِنِ بِالْعَصَا ، وَتَخْتِمُ أَنْفَ الْكَافِرِ بِالْخَاتَمِ ، حَتَّى إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْخِوَانِ لَيَجْتَمِعُونَ ، فَيَقُولُ هَذَا : يَا مُؤْمِنُ ، وَيَقُولُ هَذَا : يَا كَافِرُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Near the Day of Judgment, the Beast of the Earth (Dabbat al-Ard) will emerge, with the staff of Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) and the ring of Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him). It will mark the nose of the disbeliever with a seal and will brighten the face of the believer with the staff, until people will gather at one table and will call each other, "O believer" and "O disbeliever."
Hadith 10362
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى أُمِّ بُرْثُنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَتَبَ الْجُمُعَةَ عَلَى مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَنَا ، فَاخْتَلَفُوا فِيهَا ، وَهَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَهَا ، فَالنَّاسُ لَنَا تَبَعٌ ، فَالْيَهُودُ غَدًا ، وَالنَّصَارَى بَعْدَ غَدٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah had made Friday obligatory upon the people before us as well, but they differed regarding it, whereas Allah guided us in this matter. Thus, now people follow us concerning this day. The day after (Saturday) is for the Jews, and the day after that (Sunday) is for the Christians.
Hadith 10363
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ تَجَاوَزَ لِأُمَّتِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَدَّثَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهَا ، مَا لَمْ تَكَلَّمْ بِهِ ، أَوْ تَعْمَلْ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My Ummah has been given concession that there will be no accountability for the thoughts that arise in their minds, provided that they do not act upon those thoughts or express them with their tongues.
Hadith 10364
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَاسِعٍ ، عَنْ شُتَيْرِ بْنِ نَهَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حُسْنُ الظَّنِّ مِنْ حُسْنِ الْعِبَادَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Having a good opinion (of Allah) is also a part of good worship.
Hadith 10365
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ , وَيَزِيدُ , قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِذَا لَمْ تَجِدُوا إِلَّا مَرَابِضَ الْغَنَمِ وَمَعَاطِنَ الْإِبِلِ ، فَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ ، وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَعَاطِنِ الْإِبِلِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When you do not find any place to pray except the enclosures of goats and camels, then perform prayer in the enclosure of goats, but do not pray in the enclosure of camels.
Hadith 10366
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا يَبِعْ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No townsman should sell the merchandise of a villager.
Hadith 10367
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَسُبُّوا الدَّهْرَ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الدَّهْرُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Do not speak ill of time, for the Creator of time is also Allah.
Hadith 10368
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ : عَبْدِي ، وَأَمَتِي ، لِيَقُلْ : فَتَايَ ، فَتَاتِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you should say regarding his slave, "My slave, my maid," rather he should say, "My young man, my young woman."
Hadith 10369
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَوْ قَالَ : قال أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ : " إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، أَوْ شَرِبَ نَاسِيًا ، وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ ، فَلْيُتِمَّ صَوْمَهُ ، فَإِنَّمَا أَطْعَمَهُ اللَّهُ وَسَقَاهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you is fasting and forgetfully eats or drinks something, he should still complete his fast, for it is Allah who has fed him and given him drink.
Hadith 10370
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ لِبْسَتَيْنِ ، وَبَيْعَتَيْنِ : وَأَنْ يَحْتَبِيَ الرَّجُلُ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ، لَيْسَ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ ، وَأَنْ يَرْتَدِيَ فِي ثَوْبٍ يَرْفَعُ طَرَفَيْهِ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ ، وَأَمَّا الْبَيْعَتَانِ : فَاللَّمْسُ وَالْإِلْقَاءُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He forbade two types of buying and selling and two types of clothing. As for clothing, it is that a person sits wrapped in a single garment with nothing covering his private parts, and that a person prays wrapped only in his lower garment unless he throws its two ends over his shoulders in opposite directions. And he forbade the sale by "mulamasa" and the sale by throwing a stone. Benefit: The meaning of "bay‘ mulamasa" is that the buyer says, "Whatever thing I touch with my hand will be mine for such and such amount."
Hadith 10371
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely Allah is Odd and He loves the odd number.
Hadith 10372
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي ، وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Name yourselves after me, but do not take my kunya as your kunya."
Hadith 10373
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ , وَيَزِيدُ , قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ حَيْثُ قَدِمُوا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَاهُمْ عَنْ الْحَنْتَمِ ، وَالنَّقِيرِ ، وَالْمُزَفَّتِ ، وَالْمَزَادَةِ , الْمَجْبُوبَةِ ، وَقالَ : انْتَبِذْ فِي سِقَائِكَ ، وَأَوْكِهِ ، وَاشْرَبْهُ حُلْوًا طَيِّبًا " ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، ائْذَنْ لِي فِي مِثْلِ هَذِهِ ، قَالَ : " إِذَنْ تَجْعَلَهَا مِثْلَ هَذِهِ " ، قَالَ يَزِيدُ : وَفَتَحَ هِشَامٌ يَدَهُ قَلِيلًا ، فَقَالَ : " إِذَنْ تَجْعَلَهَا مِثْلَ هَذِهِ " ، وَفَتَحَ يَدَهُ شَيْئًا أَرْفَعَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the delegation of Banu Abdul Qais came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade them from (using) Hantham, Naqeer, Muzaffat, and Tushahdan, and said: Prepare Nabidh in your waterskin, close its mouth, and drink it sweet and pure. A man submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), grant me permission for just this much" (the narrator indicated with his hand). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Later, you will make it this much" (the narrator indicated with his hand, opening it wider than before).
Hadith 10374
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ , وَحَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ ، وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا ، وَلَا تَحَسَّسُوا ، وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا ، وَلَا تَنَافَسُوا ، وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا ، وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا ، وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِخْوَانًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Guard yourselves against suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech. Do not spy on one another, do not seek out each other's faults, do not compete with one another, do not deceive one another, do not sever ties of kinship, do not harbor enmity, and O servants of Allah! Be brothers to one another."
Hadith 10375
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، قََالَ : لَا أَعْلَمُ هَذَا إِلَّا مَا حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبِي وَقَرَأْتُهُ عَلَيْهِ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ السَّاعَةِ الْهَرْجَ " ، قَالَ : قِيلَ : وَمَا الْهَرْجُ ؟ قَالَ : الْقَتْلُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Before the Day of Judgment, "Harj" will become widespread. Someone asked, what is the meaning of Harj? He replied: Killing.
Hadith 10376
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " إِذَا أُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ سَأَلَ عَنْهُ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ صَدَقَةً لَمْ يَأْكُلْ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ هَدِيَّةً أَكَلَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When food would come to you from somewhere other than your own house, you (peace be upon him) would inquire about it. If it was said that it was a gift, you (peace be upon him) would eat it, and if it was said that it was charity, you (peace be upon him) would tell the people to eat it and would not eat it yourself.
Hadith 10377
حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَشْكُرُ اللَّهَ مَنْ لَا يَشْكُرُ النَّاسَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever does not thank people does not thank Allah.
Hadith 10378
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ , وَعَفَّانُ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قََالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ عَفَّانُ : يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ : " يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ ، حَمَلْتُكَ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ وَالْإِبِلِ ، وَزَوَّجْتُكَ النِّسَاءَ ، وَجَعَلْتُكَ تَرْبَعُ ، وَتَرْأَسُ ، فَأَيْنَ شُكْرُ ذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will say, "O son of Adam, I made you ride horses and camels, I arranged your marriage with women, and I granted you leadership. Where is the gratitude for all these things?"
Hadith 10379
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْكِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ : " أَذْنَبَ عَبْدِي ذَنْبًا ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي ، فَقَالَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى : أَذْنَبَ عَبْدِي ذَنْبًا ، فَعَلِمَ أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ ، وَيَأْخُذُ بِالذَّنْبِ " ، ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ ، قَالَ : فَيَقُولُ : اعْمَلْ مَا شِئْتَ ، قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man commits a sin and then says, "O Lord! I have committed a sin, forgive me." Allah Almighty says: My servant has committed a sin and he knows that he has a Lord who forgives sins or punishes for them. I have forgiven My servant. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated this three more times. In the end, Allah Almighty says: Do whatever you wish, I have forgiven you.
Hadith 10380
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، قََالَ : كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَاصٌّ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ ، قََالَ : فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ عَبْدًا أَصَابَ ذَنْبًا " ، فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 10381
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَعُودُ فِي هِبَتِهِ ، كَمَثَلِ الْكَلْبِ أَكَلَ ، حَتَّى إِذَا شَبِعَ قَاءَ ، ثُمَّ عَادَ فِي قَيْئِهِ فَأَكَلَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of a person who gives a gift to someone and then takes it back is like that of a dog who eats to his fill, and when his belly is full, he vomits, and then licks up and eats his vomit again.
Hadith 10382
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ خِلَاسٍ فِي الْهِبَةِ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 10383
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ شَابٌّ يَمْشِي فِي حُلَّةٍ ، يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِيهَا ، مُسْبِلًا إِزَارَهُ ، إِذْ بَلَعَتْهُ الْأَرْضُ ، فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man, dressed in a precious cloak, was walking arrogantly, boasting about himself, when Allah caused the earth to swallow him up, and he will continue to sink into the earth until the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 10384
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , وَرَوْحٌ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اشْتَدَّ غَضَبُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى رَجُلٍ قَتَلَهُ نَبِيُّهُ ، وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ : قَتَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، وَاشْتَدَّ غَضَبُ اللَّهِ عَلَى رَجُلٍ تَسَمَّى بِمَلِكِ الْأَمْلَاكِ ، لَا مُلْكَ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The severe wrath of Allah descends upon the person whom a prophet has killed with his own hand in jihad in the way of Allah, and the severe wrath of Allah descends upon the person who calls himself "Shahanshah" (King of Kings); there is no sovereignty except that of Allah.
