Musnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 10385
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , وَرَوْحٌ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، قََالَ رَوْحٌ : وَخِلَاسٌ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى أَنْ يُبَالَ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ ، ثُمَّ يُتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that anyone should urinate in standing water and then perform ablution with it.
Hadith 10386
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قََالَ : بَلَغَنِي , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى أَنَّ " الْوَلَدَ لِصَاحِبِ الْفِرَاشِ ، وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) decreed that the child belongs to the owner of the bed, and for the adulterer there are stones.
Hadith 10387
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 10388
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قََالَ : بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ ، وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Saying "Subhan Allah" to remind the Imam is for men, and clapping is for women.
Hadith 10389
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: 'Awf narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Huraira, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similar to that.
Hadith 10390
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ خِلَاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .

Hadith 10391
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ , وَإِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يُوسُفَ , قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَوْفٌ , الْمَعْنَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ تَبِعَ جِنَازَةَ مُسْلِمٍ احْتِسَابًا ، وَكَانَ مَعَهَا حَتَّى يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا ، وَيُفْرَغَ مِنْ دَفْنِهَا ، فَإِنَّهُ يَرْجِعُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ بِقِيرَاطَيْنِ ، كُلُّ قِيرَاطٍ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا وَرَجَعَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُدْفَنَ ، فَإِنَّهُ يَرْجِعُ بِقِيرَاطٍ " ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : " إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا " ، وَقَالَ : " فَإِنْ رَجَعَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُوضَعَ فِي الْقَبْرِ ، فَإِنَّهُ يَرْجِعُ بِقِيرَاطٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer of a Muslim with faith and the intention of reward will receive a reward equal to one qirat, and whoever waits until the burial is completed will receive a reward equal to two qirats, each of which is as great as the mountain of Uhud.
Hadith 10392
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قََالَ : بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ صَائِمًا ، فَنَسِيَ فَأَكَلَ وَشَرِبَ ، فَلْيُتِمَّ صَوْمَهُ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَطْعَمَهُ وَسَقَاهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you is fasting and forgetfully eats or drinks something, he should still complete his fast, for it is Allah who has fed him and given him drink.
Hadith 10393
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .

Hadith 10394
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قََالَ : بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْمَعْدِنُ جُبَارٌ ، وَالْعَجْمَاءُ جُبَارٌ ، وَالْبِئْرُ جُبَارٌ ، وَفِي الرِّكَازِ الْخُمُسُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The wound caused by an animal is without liability, the blood of one who dies by falling into a well is without liability, the blood of one who dies in a mine is also without liability, and for buried treasure (found by someone), one-fifth (khums) is obligatory.
Hadith 10395
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .

Hadith 10396
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قََالَ : بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تُقَاتِلُوا قَوْمًا يَنْتَعِلُونَ الشَّعْرَ ، وَحَتَّى تُقَاتِلُوا قَوْمًا عِرَاضَ الْوُجُوهِ ، خُنْسَ الْأُنُوفِ ، صِغَارَ الْأَعْيُنِ ، كَأَنَّ وُجُوهَهُمْ الْمَجَانُّ الْمُطْرَقَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Day of Judgment will not be established until you fight against a people who wear shoes made of hair, and against a people whose faces are broad, noses are flat, eyes are small, and their faces are like flattened bows.
Hadith 10397
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .

Hadith 10398
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قََالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، وَلَقِيَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ , فَقَالَ : " أَرِنِي أُقَبِّلْ مِنْكَ حَيْثُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقَبِّلُ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ بِقَمِيصِهِ ، قَالَ : فَقَبَّلَ سُرَّتَهُ " .
Umair bin Ishaq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was with Hazrat Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) when on the way we met Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). He said, "Show me the part of your body where the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) kissed you, so that I may also have the honor of kissing it." Upon this, Hazrat Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) lifted his shirt and Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) kissed his navel.
Hadith 10399
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِذَا رَأَيْتُكَ طَابَتْ نَفْسِي وَقَرَّتْ عَيْنِي ، فَأَنْبِئْنِي عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ، فَقَالَ : " كُلُّ شَيْءٍ خُلِقَ مِنْ مَاءٍ " ، قَالَ فَأَنْبِئْنِي بِعَمَلٍ إِنْ عَمِلْتُ بِهِ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ ، قَالَ : " أَفْشِ السَّلَامَ ، وَأَطِبْ الْكَلَامَ ، وَصِلْ الْأَرْحَامَ ، وَقُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ ، تَدْخُلْ الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), when I see you, my heart becomes cool and my eyes find peace. Please tell me the origin of everything?" The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Everything has been created from water." I submitted, "Tell me something that if I act upon it, I will enter Paradise?" The Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Spread peace, speak good words, maintain ties of kinship, and stand in prayer at night when people are sleeping, and you will enter Paradise in peace."
Hadith 10400
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ وَهُوَ الْأَزْرَقُ قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَازِمٍ الْأَشْجَعِيَّ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : أُتِيَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ عِنْدَهُ ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : تُوُفِّيَ فُلَانٌ وَتَرَكَ دِينَارَيْنِ أَوْ دِرْهَمَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ : " كَيَّتَانِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him that a certain man had passed away and he had left behind two dinars or two dirhams. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These are two coals of fire."
Hadith 10401
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ مُسْلِمَةٍ تُسَافِرُ مَسِيرَةَ لَيْلَةٍ ، إِلَّا وَمَعَهَا رَجُلٌ ذُو مَحْرَمٍ مِنْهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible for any Muslim woman to travel for one day without a mahram from her family.
Hadith 10402
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " يَا نِسَاءَ الْمُسْلِمَاتِ ، لَا تَحْقِرَنَّ جَارَةٌ لِجَارَتِهَا وَلَوْ فِرْسِنَ شَاةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "Women of Islam, let not any neighbor consider insignificant the gift sent by her neighbor, even if it is only a hoof of a goat."
Hadith 10403
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ مَوْلَى النَّصْرِيِّينَ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّمَا مُحَمَّدٌ بَشَرٌ ، يَغْضَبُ كَمَا يَغْضَبُ الْبَشَرُ ، وَإِنِّي قَدْ اتَّخَذْتُ عِنْدَكَ عَهْدًا لَنْ تُخْلِفَنِيهِ ، فَأَيُّمَا مُؤْمِنٍ آذَيْتُهُ ، أَوْ شَتَمْتُهُ ، أَوْ جَلَدْتُهُ ، فَاجْعَلْهَا لَهُ كَفَّارَةً ، وَقُرْبَةً تُقَرِّبُهُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: O Allah, I am also a human being; just as other people get angry, I also get angry. (O Allah) If I have caused harm to anyone (unknowingly) or struck someone with a whip, then make it a means of atonement and closeness for that person on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 10404
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، قََالَ : وَحَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيَنْزِلَنَّ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ حَكَمًا وَعَدْلًا فَيَكْسِرُ الصَّلِيبَ ، وَلَيَقْتُلَنَّ الْخِنْزِيرَ ، وَلَيَضَعَنَّ الْجِزْيَةَ ، وَلَيَتْرُكَنَّ الْقِلَاصَ فَلَا يُسْعَى عَلَيْهَا ، وَلَتَذْهَبَنَّ الشَّحْنَاءُ وَالْبَغْضَاءُ وَالتَّحَاسُدُ ، وَلَيُدْعَوُنَّ إِلَى الْمَالِ فَلَا يَقْبَلُهُ أَحَدٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon, among you, Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) will descend as a just ruler. He will break the cross, kill the swine, abolish the jizya, and camels will wander about but no one will go towards them. Malice, hatred, and jealousy will be removed, and people will be called towards wealth but there will be no one to accept it.
Hadith 10405
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِذَا زَنَتْ أَمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَتَبَيَّنَ زِنَاهَا ، فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ وَلَا يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيْهَا ، ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ ، فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ ، وَلَا يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيْهَا ، ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَتَبَيَّنَ زِنَاهَا ، فَلْيَبِعْهَا ، وَلَوْ بِحَبْلٍ مِنْ شَعْرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If any of you has a slave-girl who commits adultery and her crime is proven, then give her the punishment of lashes but do not disgrace her. Then, if she commits the same sin a third or fourth time, he said: Sell her, even if you get only a rope made of hair as her price.
Hadith 10406
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ ، عَزَّ جُنْدَهُ ، وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ ، وَغَلَبَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ ، فَلَا شَيْءَ بَعْدَهُ " , قَالَ هَاشِمٌ : " أَعَزَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: There is no deity except Allah, He is alone, He made His army victorious, He helped His servant, and He alone prevailed over all the armies. After Him, there is nothing.
Hadith 10407
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : انْتَدَبَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِمَنْ يَخْرُجُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ " لَا يُخْرِجُهُ إِلَّا الْإِيمَانُ بِي ، وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِي ، أَنَّهُ عَلَيَّ ضَامِنٌ حَتَّى أُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِإِيمَانِهِ مَا كَانَ إِمَّا بِقَتْلٍ ، وَإِمَّا بِوَفَاةٍ ، أَوْ أَرُدَّهُ إِلَى مَسْكَنِهِ الَّذِي خَرَجَ مِنْهُ ، نَالَ مَا نَالَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has taken it upon Himself regarding the person who sets out in His path, that if he sets out only with the intention of striving in My path, having faith in Me and affirming My Messenger, then it is My responsibility to admit him into Paradise, or to return him to his place of residence in such a state that he has obtained reward or spoils of war.
Hadith 10408
حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَبَّرَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ سَكَتَ هُنَيَّةً ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي ، مَا تَقُولُ فِي سُكُوتِكَ بَيْنَ التَّكْبِيرِ وَالْقِرَاءَةِ ؟ قَالَ : أَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ بَاعِدْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خَطَايَايَ ، كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْقِنِي مِنْ خَطَايَايَ ، كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْسِلْنِي مِنْ خَطَايَايَ بِالثَّلْجِ وَالْمَاءِ وَالْبَرَدِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to remain silent for a short while between saying the opening Takbeer and the recitation. Once I submitted in the presence of the Messenger, "May my parents be sacrificed for you, what do you recite during the silence between the Takbeer and the recitation?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "During that time I say this supplication: O Allah, create distance between me and my sins as You have made distance between the East and the West. O Allah, purify me of my sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt. O Allah, wash away my sins with water, snow, and hail."
Hadith 10409
حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ ، فَلَمْ يَرْفُثْ وَلَمْ يَفْسُقْ ، رَجَعَ كَمَا وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs Hajj in such a manner that he neither becomes indecent with his women nor commits any sinful act, he will return to his home as pure as the day his mother gave birth to him.
Hadith 10410
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْرَةَ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ مُنْذُ نَحْوٍ مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ أَوْ خَمْسِينَ سَنَةً ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَأْكُلُونَ فِيهِ الرِّبَا " ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لَهُ : النَّاسُ كُلُّهُمْ ؟ قَالَ : " مَنْ لَمْ يَأْكُلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ، نَالَهُ مِنْ غُبَارِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A time will come upon the people when they will begin to consume usury." Someone asked, "Will all the people consume usury?" He replied, "Whoever does not consume it will still be affected by its dust."
Hadith 10411
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حَرِيمُ الْبِئْرِ أَرْبَعُونَ ذِرَاعًا مِنْ حَوَالَيْهَا كُلُّهَا ، لِأَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ وَالْغَنَمِ ، وَابْنُ السَّبِيلِ أَوَّلُ شَارِبٍ ، وَلَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ مَاءٍ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The protected area (harim) of a well consists of forty cubits around it, and all of it is for the camels, goats, travelers, and those who come first to drink, and no one should be prevented from using extra water so that surplus grass may be withheld through it.
Hadith 10412
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : " شَرُّ الطَّعَامِ طَعَامُ الْعُرْسِ ، يُطْعَمُهُ الْأَغْنِيَاءُ ، وَيُمْنَعُهُ الْمَسَاكِينُ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُجِبْ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The worst food is the food of a wedding feast to which the rich are invited and the poor are left out, and whoever does not accept an invitation has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 10413
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ ثُمَّ تَفَرَّقُوا لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ، كَأَنَّمَا تَفَرَّقُوا عَنْ جِيفَةِ حِمَارٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Those people who gather at a place and disperse without remembering Allah are like those who have dispersed from around a dead donkey.
Hadith 10414
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " جِدَالٌ فِي الْقُرْآنِ كُفْرٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Disputing about the Qur'an is disbelief.
Hadith 10415
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قََالَ : قََالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ جَلَسَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ كَثُرَ فِيهِ لَغَطُهُ ، فَقَالَ : قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقُومَ سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَبِحَمْدِكَ ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ ثُمَّ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ ، إِلَّا غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا كَانَ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ ذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever participates in a gathering and there is excessive frivolity, then when leaving that gathering, if he says: "Subhanaka Rabbana wa bihamdika la ilaha illa anta astaghfiruka thumma atubu ilaik," the sins committed in that gathering will be forgiven.
Hadith 10416
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْعَجْمَاءُ جُبَارٌ ، وَالْبِئْرُ جُبَارٌ ، وَفِي الرِّكَازِ الْخُمُسُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The wound caused by an animal is without liability, the blood of one who dies by falling into a well is without liability, the blood of one who dies in a mine is also without liability, and for buried treasure (found by someone), one-fifth (khums) is obligatory.
Hadith 10417
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَازِمٍ ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْخِرِّيتِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : " قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اخْتَلَفَتْ النَّاسُ فِي طُرُقِهِمْ أَنَّهَا سَبْعُ أَذْرُعٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) decreed that when people differ regarding the measurement of a pathway, it should be kept at seven cubits.
Hadith 10418
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ , فَقَالَ : " أَوَكُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a person asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "Can any one of us pray in a single garment?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Does each one of you have two garments?"
Hadith 10419
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ تَابَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا ، تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever repents before the event of the sun rising from the west, his repentance will be accepted.
Hadith 10420
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ سُئِلَ عَنْ عِلْمٍ يَعْلَمُهُ فَكَتَمَهُ ، أُلْجِمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: If a person is asked about knowledge and he conceals it without any reason, then on the Day of Resurrection a bridle of fire will be put in his mouth.
Hadith 10421
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى مَوْلَى جَعْدَةَ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَابَ طَعَامًا قَطُّ ، كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَهَاهُ أَكَلَهُ ، وَإِذَا لَمْ يَشْتَهِهِ سَكَتَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never found fault with any food; if he desired it, he would eat it, and if he did not desire it, he would remain silent.
Hadith 10422
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قََالَ : قََالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ : أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ , أَنَّ صَالِحًا مَوْلَى التَّوْءَمَةِ أَخْبَرَهُ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا قَعَدَ الْقَوْمُ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ ، ثُمَّ قَامُوا وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ فِيهِ ، كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهِ حَسْرَةٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Those people who gather in a place for a meeting but do not remember Allah in it and then get up and leave, it will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 10423
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ , عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : " أَعْدَدْتُ لِعِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحِينَ مَا لَا عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ ، وَلَا أُذُنٌ سَمِعَتْ وَلَا خَطَرَ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ ، ذُخْرًا مِن بَلْهَ مَا أَطْلَعَكُمْ عَلَيْهِ " ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : فَلا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَا أُخْفِيَ لَهُمْ مِنْ قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ سورة السجدة آية 17 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "I have prepared for My righteous servants such things which no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever conceived. These things are treasures, but Allah has not informed you about them." Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for their eyes."
Hadith 10424
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَصُومُوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، إِلَّا وَقَبْلَهُ يَوْمٌ ، أَوْ بَعْدَهُ يَوْمٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not fast only on the day of Friday unless you also fast a day before it or a day after it.
