Hadith 9949
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Fasting is a shield.
Hadith 9950
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الضَّحَّاكِ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةً ، يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ عَامٍ لَا يَقْطَعُهَا شَجَرَةَ الْخُلْدِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Paradise, there is a tree such that if a rider were to travel in its shade for a hundred years, he would still not be able to cross it; that is the Tree of Eternity.
Hadith 9951
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَخْطُبُ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No person should send his proposal of marriage over the proposal of his brother.
Hadith 9952
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا ، وَلَا بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: A woman should not be married together with her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt.
Hadith 9953
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَعَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade offering voluntary prayers after the Asr prayer until sunset, and likewise, he prohibited prayer after the Fajr prayer until sunrise.
Hadith 9954
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، وَعَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، وَعَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الصُّبْحِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْس فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ ، فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الْعَصْر " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever catches one rak'ah of the Fajr prayer before sunrise has caught that prayer, and whoever catches one rak'ah of the Asr prayer before sunset has caught that prayer.
Hadith 9955
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا كَانَ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ " . وَذَكَرَ " أَنَّ النَّارَ اشْتَكَتْ إِلَى رَبِّهَا ، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ بِنَفَسَيْنِ ، نَفَسٍ فِي الشِّتَاءِ ، وَنَفَسٍ فِي الصَّيْفِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the heat is intense, perform the prayer after it has cooled down, because the severity of the heat is due to the effect of the heat of Hell. And he said: Once the fire of Hell complained to its Lord, so Allah allowed it to breathe twice—once in the winter and once in the summer.
Hadith 9956
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ ، فَأَبْرِدُوا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ " .

Hadith 9957
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِت ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ يَنْعَمُ وَلَا يَبْأَسُ ، لَا تَبْلَى ثِيَابُهُ ، وَلَا يَفْنَى شَبَابُهُ ، إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مَا لَا عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ ، وَلَا أُذُنٌ سَمِعَتْ ، وَلَا خَطَرَ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever enters Paradise will live in luxury and comfort, will not be distressed, his clothes will not wear out, and his youth will not fade away. And in Paradise there will be such things as no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever imagined.
Hadith 9958
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّ رَجُلًا زَارَ أَخًا لَهُ فِي قَرْيَةٍ أُخْرَى ، فَأَرْصَدَ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَدْرَجَتِهِ مَلَكًا ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُ ؟ قَالَ : أَزُورُ أَخًا لِي فِي اللَّهِ فِي قَرْيَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، قَالَ : هَلْ لَهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تَرُبُّهَا ؟ قَالَ : لَا , وَلَكِنَّنِي أَحْبَبْتُهُ فِي اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، قَالَ : فَإِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكَ ، أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَبَّكَ كَمَا أَحْبَبْتَهُ فِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man set out to visit his religious brother who lived in another town. Allah appointed an angel on his way. When he passed by the angel, the angel asked him, "Where are you going?" He replied, "I am going to meet such-and-such a man." The angel asked, "Is there any kinship between you two?" He said, "No." The angel asked, "Has he done any favor to you which you are repaying?" He said, "No." The angel asked, "Then why are you going to him?" He said, "I love him for the sake of Allah's pleasure." The angel said, "I have been sent to you from Allah as a messenger to inform you that because of your love for him, Allah loves you."
Hadith 9959
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , وَعَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِح ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى أَنْ يَسْتَامَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ ، أَوْ يَخْطُبَ عَلَى خِطْبَتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a person should send his proposal of marriage over the proposal of his brother, or conduct his sale over the sale of his brother.
Hadith 9960
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ اشْتَرَى شَاةً مُصَرَّاةً فَلْيَحْلِبْهَا ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَرْضَهَا فَلْيَرُدَّهَا ، وَلْيَرُدَّ مَعَهَا صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever (being deceived) buys a goat whose udders have been tied, then either he should keep the animal with himself (and resolve the matter), or he should return the animal to its owner and also give one sa’ of dates along with it.
Hadith 9961
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ سَأَلَهُ جَارُهُ أَنْ يَغْرِزَ خَشَبَةً فِي جِدَارِهِ ، فَلَا يَمْنَعْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any of you has his neighbor ask permission to fix his beam in his wall, he should not prevent him.
Hadith 9962
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ . وَبَهْزٌ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُمَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا قَاتَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيَجْتَنِبْ الْوَجْهَ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ : " فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَلَقَ آدَمَ عَلَى صُورَتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you strikes someone, he should avoid striking the face, because Allah created Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) in His own image.
Hadith 9963
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَن ، عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَنْذِرُوا , فَإِنَّ النَّذْرَ لَا يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْقَدَرِ ، وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade making vows and said that no destiny can be averted by it; rather, through a vow, wealth is taken out from a miserly person.
Hadith 9964
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ عَبْدِي وَأَمَتِي ، كُلُّكُمْ عَبِيدُ اللَّهِ ، وَكُلُّ نِسَائِكُمْ إِمَاءُ اللَّهِ ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ غُلَامِي وَجَارِيَتِي ، وَفَتَايَ وَفَتَاتِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: None of you should say regarding his slave, "My slave (Abdi), my slave woman (Amati)," because you are all Allah's slaves and your women are His slave women. Rather, he should say, "My young man, my young woman, my servant."
Hadith 9965
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا قَعَدَ قَوْمٌ مَقْعَدًا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَيُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، إِلَّا كَانَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَإِنْ دَخَلُوا الْجَنَّة ، لِلثَّوَابِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Those people who gather in a place for a meeting but do not remember Allah in it nor send blessings upon the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and then disperse, it will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection, even if they enter Paradise.
Hadith 9966
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ رَآنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ فَقَدْ رَآنِي ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَتَمَثَّلُ بِمِثْلِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever sees me in a dream should be certain that he has indeed seen me, for Satan cannot take my form or appearance.
Hadith 9967
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يُؤْذِ جَارَهُ ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor; whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest; and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.
Hadith 9968
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ : اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي إِنْ شِئْتَ ، اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي إِنْ شِئْتَ ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَعْزِمْ الْمَسْأَلَةَ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا مُكْرِهَ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you makes supplication, he should not say: O Allah! If You wish, forgive me; rather, he should pray with determination and certainty, for there is no one who can compel Allah.
Hadith 9969
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs istinja with stones should choose an odd number.
Hadith 9970
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor; whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest; and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.
Hadith 9971
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مَنْعِ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade withholding surplus water so that grass may be withheld by it.
Hadith 9972
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ,قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ لَا نُورَثُ ، مَا تَرَكْتُ بَعْدَ مَئُونَةِ عَامِلِي ، وَنَفَقَةِ نِسَائِي صَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated from the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Inheritance is not established in the wealth of us, the group of Prophets. Whatever I leave, apart from the maintenance of my wives and the wages of the worker of my land, is all charity."
Hadith 9973
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ ، وَمَنْ أُحِيلَ عَلَى مَلِيءٍ فَلْيَحْتَلْ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Delaying repayment by a wealthy person is injustice, and when any of you is referred to a wealthy person, he should pursue him.
Hadith 9974
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ، الْأَنْبِيَاءُ إِخْوَةٌ أَوْلَادُ عَلَّاتٍ ، وَلَيْسَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام نَبِيٌّ " .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among all people, I am the closest to Jesus (peace be upon him). All the prophets (peace be upon them) are paternal brothers. There is no prophet between me and Jesus (peace be upon him)."
Hadith 9975
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرَ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ ، قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ , عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي الْأَعْرَجَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ، الْأَنْبِيَاءُ أَبْنَاءُ عَلَّاتٍ ، وَلَيْسَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عِيسَى نَبِيٌّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among all people, I am the closest to Jesus (peace be upon him). All the prophets (peace be upon them) are paternal brothers. There is no prophet between me and Jesus (peace be upon him)."
Hadith 9976
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يَضْحَكُ اللَّهُ إِلَى رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتُلُ أَحَدُهُمَا الْآخَرَ ، كِلَاهُمَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ ، يُقَاتِلُ هَذَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، فَيُسْتَشْهَدُ ، ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى قَاتِلِهِ ، فَيُسْلِمُ ، فَيُقَاتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يُسْتَشْهَدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah Almighty smiles at two men, one of whom killed the other, but both of them enter Paradise. The explanation of this is that one man was a disbeliever; he martyred a Muslim, but before his own death, that disbeliever also accepted Islam, and Allah Almighty granted both of them entry into Paradise.
Hadith 9977
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُسَمُّوا الْعِنَبَ الْكَرْمَ ، فَإِنَّمَا الْكَرْمُ الرَّجُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ " .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not call a vineyard "Karam," for the real "Karam" is the believing man.
Hadith 9978
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ , عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَال : " الْمَطْلُ ظُلْمُ الْغَنِيِّ ، وَمَنْ أُتْبِعَ عَلَى مَلِيءٍ فَلْيَتْبَعْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Delaying repayment by a wealthy person is injustice, and when any of you is referred to a wealthy person, he should pursue him.
Hadith 9979
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ , عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ : اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي إِنْ شِئْتَ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا مُسْتَكْرِهَ لَه ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَعْزِمْ فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ " .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any of you supplicates, he should not say, "O Allah, if You will, forgive me," but rather he should supplicate with determination and certainty, for there is no one who can compel Allah.
Hadith 9980
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ , عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : " نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرَّجُلُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ ، لَيْسَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ " .
It is narrated with this chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a person should not pray in such a way in a single garment that no part of the garment is on his shoulders.
Hadith 9981
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ , عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " لَا يَقْسِمُ وَرَثَتِي دِينَارًا مَا تَرَكْتُ بَعْدَ نَفَقَةِ نِسَائِي ، وَمَئُونَةِ عَامِلِي ، فَإِنَّهُ صَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My heirs will not distribute dinars and dirhams. Whatever I leave, apart from the maintenance of my wives and the wages of the worker of my land, is all charity.
Hadith 9982
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ , عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعَتَيْنِ : النِّبَاذِ وَاللِّمَاسِ ، وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الصَّمَّاءِ ، وَأَنْ يَحْتَبِيَ الرَّجُلُ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ، لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْأَرْضِ شَيْء " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade two types of sales: the sale of munabadhah and the sale of mulamasah. He also forbade wrapping oneself in a single sheet and sitting with the sheet wrapped in such a way that there is nothing between a person and the ground.
Hadith 9983
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَا أَوْلَى بِكُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ ، فَمَنْ تَرَكَ دَيْنًا أَوْ ضَيَاعًا فَإِلَيَّ ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِلْوَارِثِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have more right over the believers than their own selves, so whoever leaves behind a debt or children, it is my responsibility, and whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heirs.
Hadith 9984
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنِ عَمَّارٍ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا جَاءَ خَادِمُ أَحَدِكُمْ بِطَعَامِهِ ، قَدْ كَفَاهُ حَرَّهُ وَعَمَلَهُ ، فَلْيُقْعِدْهُ يَأْكُلُ مَعَهُ ، أَوْ يُنَاوِلْهُ لُقْمَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you has a servant who has taken care of preparing the food, enduring its heat and cold, then he should make him sit with him and feed him. If he cannot do so, then he should at least give him a morsel from it.
Hadith 9985
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ , وَمُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : قِيلَ لَهُ : " أَنْفِقْ أُنْفِقْ عَلَيْكَ " ، قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : قَالَ : يَقُولُ رَبُّنَا عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : " أَنْفِقْ أُنْفِقْ عَلَيْك " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) in a marfu' form that Allah Almighty says: O son of Adam, spend (in My way), I will spend on you.
Hadith 9986
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ موسي بن أبي عثمانَ , عن أبيه ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا تَصُومُ الْمَرْأَةُ وَزَوْجُهَا حَاضِرٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No woman should observe a voluntary fast, other than in the month of Ramadan, while her husband is present at home, except with his permission.
Hadith 9987
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ , وَمُؤَمَّلٌ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنِ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : " مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَة ، قَالَ : ارْكَبْهَا " ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ ! قَالَ " ارْكَبْهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once passed by a man who was driving a camel. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Ride on it." He replied, "It is a sacrificial animal." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again said, "Ride on it."
Hadith 9988
قََالَ : " وَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُبَالَ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ الَّذِي لَا يَجْرِي ، ثُمَّ يُغْتَسَلَ مِنْهُ " ، قَالَ مُؤَمَّلٌ : الرَّاكِدِ ثُمَّ يُغْتَسَلَ مِنْهُ .
And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a person should urinate in standing water and then perform ablution from it.
