Musnad Ahmad

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Paradise, there is a tree under whose shade a rider can travel for seventy years or a little more than a year. That is the Tree of Eternity.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The womb (rahm) is a part of the Most Merciful (Rahman). On the Day of Resurrection, it will come and say, 'O Lord, I was broken, I was wronged, O Lord, I was treated badly.' Allah will reply, 'Are you not pleased that I will join the one who joins you, and I will cut off the one who cuts you off?'"

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are four things from the time of ignorance which my Ummah will never abandon: finding fault with lineage, wailing over the dead, attributing rain to the stars, and considering disease to be contagious. If a camel gets scabies and it infects a hundred camels, then who infected the first camel with scabies?

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: After the Iqamah has been called, there is no prayer except the obligatory prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man who was a disbeliever came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and ate a lot of food. Later, he accepted Islam and then ate very little food. This was mentioned to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A Muslim eats with one intestine, and a disbeliever eats with seven intestines."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever leaves behind children, their upbringing is my responsibility, and whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heirs.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the presence of the Prophet and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), such thoughts and whispers come to my heart that I would prefer to fall from the sky rather than utter them with my tongue (what should I do?)" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This is clear faith."

The previous hadith is narrated through this second chain, however, at the end here are these words: "This is the work of the Lord of the worlds." It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are four things from the time of ignorance which people will never abandon..." Then the narrator mentioned the complete hadith.

The previous hadith is narrated through this second chain, however, at the end here are these words: "This is the work of the Lord of the worlds." It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are four things from the time of ignorance which people will never abandon..." Then the narrator mentioned the complete hadith.

Abu Rafi’ says that once I saw Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) performing a prostration of recitation in Surah Inshiqaq. I asked him about it, and he replied, “My beloved (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) performed a prostration at this verse, so I will continue to perform a prostration at this verse until I meet the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).”

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to demand his camel and he spoke harshly. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) intended to beat him, but the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Leave him, for the rightful person can speak." Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "Buy a camel of the same age as his camel and give it to him." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) searched but could not find a camel of the required age; every camel was older than that. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then buy an older camel and give it to him. The best among you is the one who is best in repaying debts."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible to sever relations for more than three days. Whoever severs relations with his brother for more than three days and dies in that state will enter Hell.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The blood of one who is killed by an animal is wasted, the blood of one who dies by falling into a well is wasted, the blood of one who dies in a mine is also wasted, and in the case of buried treasure (found by someone), one-fifth (khums) is obligatory.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Seventy thousand people from my Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning. Hazrat Ukasha bin Mihsan (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up, lifting his sheet, and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), pray to Allah that He includes me among them." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed, "O Allah, include him among them." Then another man stood up and made the same request, but the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Ukasha has preceded you."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Does the person who raises his head before the Imam, while the Imam is still in prostration, not fear that Allah Almighty may turn his head or his face into that of a donkey?

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not fast until you see the moon, and do not celebrate Eid until you see the moon. Rather, begin fasting upon sighting the moon, and celebrate Eid upon sighting the moon. If the moon is not visible and the sky is cloudy, then complete the count of thirty days.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man, wearing the best clothes, was walking with pride and arrogance. He was greatly admiring his hair and had let his lower garment hang below his ankles. Suddenly, Allah caused the earth to swallow him up, and he will continue to sink in it until the Day of Resurrection.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As long as I leave you regarding a matter, you too leave me regarding it, because the nations before you were destroyed only due to excessive questioning and differing with their prophets. Whatever I forbid you from, abstain from it, and whatever I command you to do, do it to the best of your ability."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has said, "Every deed is an expiation, but fasting is especially for Me, and I Myself will reward it. The breath of the fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the fragrance of musk."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah is amazed at that people who are dragged to Paradise in chains (their deeds are taking them towards Hell, but Allah’s mercy is taking them towards Paradise).

It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The needy is not the one who is turned away with one or two dates or one or two morsels; the real needy is the one who does not have financial means himself and does not go around asking others persistently.

It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she had tied up. She neither fed it nor gave it water, nor did she let it go free so that it could eat the insects of the earth on its own.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the day of Friday, there comes such an hour that if a Muslim servant happens to encounter it while asking Allah for goodness, then Allah surely grants him that thing.

It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the mountain of Uhud were to turn into gold for me, I would not like to die leaving even a single dinar, except for that which I keep aside to pay off a debt that is due upon me.

It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Name yourselves after my name, but do not take my kunya as your kunya.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked a horse whose three legs were white and the fourth leg was of the same color as the rest of the body.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith (and wisdom) is very excellent among the people of Yemen; disbelief is towards the east. Calmness and tranquility are found among the owners of sheep, while hardness of hearts is found among the owners of camels. The Messiah Dajjal will come from the east and his destination will be Madinah Munawwarah, until he camps behind Uhud. Then the angels will turn him towards Syria, and there he will perish.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no day on which the sun rises or sets that is more virtuous than Friday, and every living creature except jinn and mankind becomes anxious on Friday (fearing that this might be the Friday on which the Day of Judgment will be established). On Friday, at every door of the mosque, two angels are appointed who record, in order, those who arrive first, like the one who offered a camel, then the one who offered a cow, then the one who offered a goat, then the one who offered a bird, then the one who offered an egg. And when the Imam comes and sits, the records are folded up.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Hour will not be established until thirty Dajjals appear, each of them thinking that he is the messenger of Allah. Wealth will become abundant, tribulations will prevail, and there will be an abundance of "harj." Someone asked, "What is meant by harj?" He replied, "Killing, killing, killing" (three times).

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that any prayer in which Surah Al-Fatihah is not recited is incomplete, incomplete, incomplete.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No person should bid against his brother's bid, and no person should send a marriage proposal over his brother's marriage proposal.

It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When any one of you makes supplication, he should not say, "O Allah, if You will, forgive me," but rather he should supplicate with determination and certainty, for there is no one who can compel Allah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "Do you know what backbiting is?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) replied, "Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) know best." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Backbiting is that you mention about your brother something regarding a fault which is not in him." Someone asked, "Please tell us, if that fault is present in my brother which I mention in his absence, then what is the ruling?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If the fault you mention is present in him, then you have backbitten him, and if the fault you mention is not present in him, then you have slandered him."

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I do not forbid you from fasting on Friday, but I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Do not fast on the day of Friday unless you also fast a day before it. And I do not pray in shoes, but I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) praying in shoes.

The previous hadith is narrated through this second chain of transmission.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer for someone will receive a reward equal to one qirat, and whoever waits until the burial is completed will receive a reward equal to two qirats, and each qirat will be equal to the mountain of Uhud.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The truest verse ever spoken by a poet is this: Beware! Everything except Allah is false (perishable).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wherever the voice of the muezzin reaches, forgiveness is granted due to his blessing, because every wet and dry thing bears witness in his favor. And for the one who participates in the congregational prayer, twenty-five good deeds are written, and the interval between two prayers becomes an expiation.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Perform ablution after eating something cooked on fire.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever leaves or breaks one fast of Ramadan without a valid excuse, then even if he fasts for his entire life, it will not compensate for that one fast.
