Hadith 9790
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، أُمُّ الْقُرْآنِ ، وَأُمُّ الْكِتَابِ , وَالسَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding Surah Al-Fatiha: "This is Umm al-Qur'an and Umm al-Kitab, and this is the Sab‘ al-Mathani."
Hadith 9791
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّكُمْ سَتَحْرِصُونَ عَلَى الْإِمَارَةِ ، وَسَتَصِيرُ نَدَامَةً ، وَحَسْرَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، فَنْعِمَتِ الْمُرْضِعَةُ ، وبِئْسَتِ الْفَاطِمَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet, the Leader of both worlds, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Soon you will desire and covet rulership, but this rulership will be a cause of regret and remorse on the Day of Resurrection. Thus, it is the best of wet nurses and the worst of weaners.
Hadith 9792
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " اخْتَصَمَ آدَمُ , وَمُوسَى عليهما السلام ، فَخَصَمَ آدَمُ مُوسَى ، فَقَالَ مُوسَى : أَنْتَ آدَمُ الَّذِي أَشْقَيْتَ النَّاسَ ، وَأَخْرَجْتَهُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ فَقَالَ آدَمُ : أَنْتَ مُوسَى الَّذِي اصْطَفَاكَ اللَّهُ بِرِسَالَاتِهِ وَبِكَلَامِهِ ، وَأَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ التَّوْرَاةَ ؟ أَلَيْسَ تَجِدُ فِيهَا أَنْ قَدْ قَدَّرَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيَّ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَنِي ؟ قَالَ : بَلَى " . قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ : فَحَجَّ آدَمُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ : يَكْفِينِي أَوَّلُ الْحَدِيثِ ، فَخَصَمَ آدَمُ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَام .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Once, in the realm of souls, Hazrat Adam and Musa (peace be upon them) met each other. Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said, "Are you the same Adam whom Allah created with His own Hand of Power, settled you in His Paradise, made His angels prostrate before you, and then you committed that act?" Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) replied, "Are you the same one with whom Allah spoke and upon whom He revealed the Torah?" Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) said, "Yes." Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) asked, "Did you find this command written in the Torah before my creation?" He replied, "Yes!" In this way, Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) prevailed over Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him).
Hadith 9793
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ ، يَا صَفِيَّةُ عَمَّةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ، وَيَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ، اشْتَرِيَا أَنْفُسَكُمَا مِنَ اللَّهِ لَا أُغْنِي عَنْكُمَا مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا ، سَلَانِي مِنْ مَالِي مَا شِئْتُمَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the Banu Abd al-Muttalib: "O Banu Abd al-Muttalib, save yourselves from Allah (by your own deeds). O Banu Hashim, save yourselves from Allah. O Banu Abd Manaf, save yourselves from Allah. O aunt of the Messenger of Allah, Umm Zubair, and O Fatimah bint Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), save yourselves from Allah, for I have no power from Allah to do anything for you. However, you may ask me for whatever (wealth and property) you wish."
Hadith 9794
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ ، لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ يَوْمٌ لَأَنْ يَرَانِي ، ثُمَّ لَأَنْ يَرَانِي أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), a time will come upon one of you when seeing me will be more beloved to him than his family and his wealth.
Hadith 9795
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا تَسْتَقِيمُ لَكَ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى خَلِيقَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ ، إِنَّمَا هِيَ كَالضِّلَعِ إِنْ تُقِمْهَا تَكْسِرْهَا ، وَإِنْ تَتْرُكْهَا تَسْتَمْتِعْ بِهَا ، وَفِيهَا عِوَجٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A woman can never remain on one trait; she is like a rib. If you try to straighten her, you will break her, and if you leave her as she is, you will benefit from her despite her crookedness.
Hadith 9796
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الظُّهْرَ ، وَفِي مُؤَخَّرِ الصُّفُوفِ رَجُلٌ فَأَسَاءَ الصَّلَاةَ ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ ، نَادَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا فُلَانُ ، أَلَا تَتَّقِي اللَّهَ ؟ ، أَلَا تَرَى كَيْفَ تُصَلِّي ؟ ، إِنَّكُمْ تَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُ يَخْفَى عَلَيَّ شَيْءٌ مِمَّا تَصْنَعُونَ ، وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَرَى مِنْ خَلْفِي كَمَا أَرَى مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the Zuhr prayer. In the back rows, there was a man who was not performing the prayer correctly. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer by saying salam, he called him and said, "Do you not fear Allah? What kind of prayer were you performing? Do you people think that your actions are hidden from me? By Allah! I see you behind me just as I see you in front of me."
Hadith 9797
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ صَالِحُ نِسَاءِ قُرَيْشٍ ، أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ ، وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best women who ride camels are the women of Quraysh, who are most compassionate to their children in childhood and are the greatest protectors of their husbands with regard to their own selves.
Hadith 9798
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِنَّ الْمِسْكِينَ لَيْسَ بِالَّذِي تَرُدُّهُ التَّمْرَةُ ، وَلَكِنَّ الْمِسْكِينَ الَّذِي لَا يَسْأَلُ النَّاسَ ، وَلَا يُفْطَنُ لَهُ فَيُعْطَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The needy is not the one who is turned away with one or two dates or one or two morsels; the real needy is the one who does not ask people and others do not know of his needs so that they may spend on him.
Hadith 9799
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة . وَمُحَمَّدٌ ، عمن سَمِعَ أَبَا صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِذَا قَاتَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيَجْتَنِبِ الْوَجْهَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you strikes someone, he should avoid striking the face.
Hadith 9800
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لِكُلِّ أَهْلِ عَمَلٍ بَابٌ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ ، يُدْعَوْنَ بِذَلِكَ الْعَمَلِ ، وَلِأَهْلِ الصِّيَامِ بَابٌ يُدْعَوْنَ مِنْهُ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ الرَّيَّانُ " ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَلْ أَحَدٌ يُدْعَى مِنْ تِلْكَ الْأَبْوَابِ كُلِّهَا ؟ ، قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، وَأَنَا أَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنْهُمْ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For every group of people who perform deeds, there is a specific door of Paradise from which they will be called. Thus, there will also be a door for those who fast, which is called Rayyan. Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), will anyone be called from all the doors?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Yes, and I hope that you will be among those people."
Hadith 9801
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " نَزَلَ نَبِيٌّ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ فَلَدَغَتْهُ نَمْلَةٌ ، فَأَمَرَ بِجَهَازِهِ ، فَأُخْرِجَ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا فَأُحْرِقَتْ بِالنَّارِ ، فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَيْهِ : فَهَلَّا نَمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A prophet camped under a tree. A certain ant bit him, so he ordered his belongings to be moved from there and set fire to the entire ant colony. Allah sent revelation to him: Why did you not punish only the one ant? (Only one ant had bitten, not all of them.)
Hadith 9802
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ مُعَيْقِيبٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : لَمْ يُضْبَطْ إِسْنَادُهُ إِنَّمَا هُوَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدٍ الْعُتْوَارِيُّ ، وَهُوَ صَاحِبُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَبُو الْهَيْثَمِ , عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ . وَعَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ , عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَا : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَتَّخِذُ عِنْدَكَ عَهْدًا لَنْ تُخْلِفَنِيهِ ، فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ فَأَيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ آذَيْتُهُ أَوْ شَتَمْتُهُ أَوْ لَعَنْتُهُ أَوْ جَلَدْتُهُ ، فَاجْعَلْهَا لَهُ زَكَاةً وَصَلَاةً وَقُرْبَةً ، تُقَرِّبُهُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O Allah, I ask You for a promise which You will never break with me. If, being human, I have caused any harm to a Muslim, or spoken harshly to him, or beaten him, or cursed him, then make it a source of mercy, purification, and nearness to You for him on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 9803
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ سَجَدَ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ ، فَقُلْتُ : سَجَدْتَ فِي سُورَةٍ مَا يُسْجَدُ فِيهَا ، قَالَ : " إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْجُدُ فِيهَا " .
Abu Salamah says that once he saw Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) recite Surah Inshiqaq, and when he reached the verse of prostration, he performed the prostration of recitation. I said to him, "I have not seen you perform prostration in this Surah before?" He replied, "If I had not seen the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) perform prostration in it, I would not have performed it either."
Hadith 9804
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِذَا قَالَ الْقَارِئُ : غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا الضَّالِّينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 7 ، فَقَالَ : مَنْ خَلْفَهُ آمِينَ ، فَوَافَقَ ذَلِكَ قَوْلَ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ : آمِينَ ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the Imam says "ghayril maghdubi 'alayhim wa la-d-dallin," the follower should say Ameen upon it, because whoever's Ameen coincides with the Ameen of the angels, all his past sins will be forgiven.
Hadith 9805
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَا أَذِنَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِشَيْءٍ كَإِذْنِهِ لِنَبِيٍّ يَتَغَنَّى بِالْقُرْآن ، يَجْهَرُ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah has not permitted anything as much as He has permitted the recitation of the Noble Qur'an with melody by His Prophet.
Hadith 9806
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسْجِدَ ، فَسَمِعَ قِرَاءَةَ رَجُلٍ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنْ هَذَا ؟ " ، قِيلَ : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، فَقَالَ : " لَقَدْ أُوتِيَ هَذَا مِنْ مَزَامِيرِ آلِ دَاوُدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque and heard the voice of a man reciting (the Qur'an). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Who is this?" The people informed him that it was Abdullah bin Qais (Abu Musa Ash'ari). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He has been given a voice like that of Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him)."
Hadith 9807
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ ، كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I seek repentance and forgiveness from Allah a hundred times every day.
Hadith 9808
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " الْمَدِينَةُ مَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِيهَا حَدَثًا ، أَوْ آوَى مُحْدِثًا ، أَوْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوْلَاهُ ، فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ ، لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Medina is a sanctuary. Whoever introduces an innovation in it, or gives refuge to an innovator, or calls someone other than his master as his master, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will not accept from him any obligatory or voluntary act of worship."
Hadith 9809
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : جَاءَ مَاعِزُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي قَدْ زَنَيْتُ . فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ مِنْ شِقِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي قَدْ زَنَيْتُ . فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ مِنْ شِقِّهِ الْأَيْسَرِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي قَدْ زَنَيْتُ . فَقَالَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ ، فَقَالَ : " انْطَلِقُوا بِهِ فَارْجُمُوهُ " ، وَقَالَ : فَانْطَلَقُوا بِهِ ، فَلَمَّا مَسَّتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ أَدْبَرَ وَاشْتَدَّ ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَهُ رَجُلٌ فِي يَدِهِ لَحْيُ جَمَلٍ ، فَضَرَبَهُ بِهِ ، فَذُكِرَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِرَارُهُ حِينَ مَسَّتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ , قَالَ : " فَهَلَّا تَرَكْتُمُوهُ " .
It is narrated from the previous chain that Hazrat Ma'iz bin Malik Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I have committed the sin of adultery." Upon hearing this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned his face away. He came from the right side and said the same thing. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again turned his face away. Then he came from the left side and said the same thing. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again turned away. But when he confessed for the fourth time, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Take him away and carry out the punishment of stoning upon him." The noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) took him away. The noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) mentioned to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that when stones struck him, he was running away. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then why did you not let him go?"
Hadith 9810
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا يَزَالُ الدِّينُ ظَاهِرًا مَا عَجَّلَ النَّاسُ الْفِطْرَ ، إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ , وَالنَّصَارَى يُؤَخِّرُونَ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The religion will remain dominant as long as people hasten to break the fast, because the Jews and Christians delay it much beyond the appointed time.
Hadith 9811
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا يَزَالُ الْبَلَاءُ بِالْمُؤْمِنِ أَوْ الْمُؤْمِنَةِ فِي جَسَدِهِ وَمَالِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ ، حَتَّى يَلْقَى اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَمَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خَطِيئَةٍ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Continuous troubles come upon a Muslim man or woman, whether in their body, wealth, or children, until when they meet Allah, there remains no sin upon them.
Hadith 9812
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مِنْبَرِي هَذَا عَلَى تُرْعَةٍ مِنْ تُرَعِ الْجَنَّةِ " .
It is narrated from the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This pulpit of mine will be at one of the gates of Paradise."
Hadith 9813
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ يَعْنِي ابنَ عَمْرو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " غِفَارُ , وَأَسْلَمُ , وَمُزَيْنَةُ , وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ ، خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْحَيَّيْنِ الْحَلِيفَيْنِ أَسَدٍ وَغَطَفَانَ , وَهَوَازِنَ وَتَمِيمٍ ، فَإِنَّهُمْ أَهْلُ الْخَيْلِ وَالْوَبَرِ " .
It is narrated from the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, a portion of the tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina, and Juhaina will be better in the sight of Allah than Banu Asad, Banu Ghatafan, Hawazin, and Tamim, because these people are owners of horses and camels.
Hadith 9814
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنِ عَمْرو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَلِأَهْلِهِ ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ ضِيَاعًا فَإِلَيَّ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heirs, and whoever leaves behind children, their upbringing is my responsibility.
Hadith 9815
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِنَّ أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً مَنْ يَتَمَنَّى عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ , فَيُقَالُ : لَكَ ذَلِكَ وَمِثْلُهُ مَعَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ يُلَقيَّ ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُ : كَذَا وَكَذَا ، فَيُقَالُ : لَكَ ذَلِكَ وَمِثْلُهُ مَعَهُ " . فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " فَيُقَالُ : لَكَ ذَلِكَ , وَعَشَرَةُ أَمْثَالِهِ " .
It is narrated from the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: The person with the lowest rank in Paradise will be the one who will express his wishes before Allah, and it will be said to him, "This and as much more is given to you." And it will be placed in his heart to ask for such and such things, and then this sentence will be said. Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said regarding this: "This and ten times as much more is given to you."
Hadith 9816
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " احْتَجَّتِ النَّارُ وَالْجَنَّةُ ، فَقَالَتِ النَّارُ : يَدْخُلُنِي الْجَبَّارُونَ وَالْمُتَكَبِّرُونَ . وَقَالَتِ الْجَنَّةُ : يَدْخُلُنِي الضُّعَفَاءُ وَالْمَسَاكِينُ . فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِلنَّارِ : أَنْتِ عَذَابِي أَنْتَقِمُ بِكِ مِمَّنْ شِئْتُ . وَقَالَ لِلْجَنَّةِ : أَنْتِ رَحْمَتِي أَرْحَمُ بِكِ مَنْ شِئْتُ " .
It is narrated from the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Once Paradise and Hell had a mutual discussion. Paradise said, "Only the poor and lowly people will enter me?" And Hell said, "Only the tyrants and arrogant people will enter me?" Allah said to Hell, "You are My punishment; I will punish with you whomever I wish." And He said to Paradise, "You are My mercy; I will have mercy through you on whomever I wish."
Hadith 9817
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي أُحُدًا ذَهَبًا ، يَمُرُّ عَلَيَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ ، فَأَجِدُ مَنْ يتَقْبَلُهُ مِنِّي ، إِلَّا أَنْ أَرْصُدَهُ فِي دَيْنٍ يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: If the mountain of Uhud were to turn into gold for me, I would be pleased to spend it in the way of Allah, and not even three days would pass over me with a single dinar or dirham remaining with me, except for that which I keep aside to pay off a debt that is due upon me.
Hadith 9818
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ ثَلَاثُونَ كَذَّابًا دَجَّالًا ، كُلُّهُمْ يَكْذِبُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ " .
And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Hour will not be established until thirty liars and Dajjals appear, each of whom will lie against Allah and His Messenger.
Hadith 9819
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَتَتَّبِعُنَّ سُنَنَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بَاعًا بِبَاعٍ ، وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ ، وَشِبْرًا بِشِبْرٍ ، حَتَّى لَوْ دَخَلُوا فِي جُحْرِ ضَبٍّ لَدَخَلْتُمْ مَعَهُمْ " . قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الْيَهُودُ , وَالنَّصَارَى ؟ ، قَالَ : " فَمَنْ إِذًا " .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "You will surely follow the ways of the previous nations, span by span and cubit by cubit, to the extent that if they entered the hole of a lizard, you would also do the same." The companions, may Allah be pleased with them, asked: "O Messenger of Allah, do you mean the Jews and Christians by this?" He said: "Then who else?"
Hadith 9820
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بَيْنَمَا أَنَا عَلَى بِئْرٍ أَسْقِي ، فَجَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَنَزَعَ ذَنُوبًا أَوْ ذَنُوبَيْنِ ، وَفِيهِمَا ضَعْفٌ ، وَاللَّهُ يَغْفِرُ لَهُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ عُمَرُ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ فَنَزَعَ حَتَّى اسْتَحَالَتْ فِي يَدِهِ غَرْبًا ، وَضَرَبَ النَّاسُ بِعَطَنٍ ، فَلَمْ أَرَ عَبْقَرِيًّا يَفْرِي فَرْيَهُ " .
And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Once in a dream I saw that I was drawing water from a cistern and giving people water to drink. Then Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came to me and, to give me relief, took the bucket from my hand and drew one or two buckets, but there were some signs of weakness in it. May Allah have mercy on him. Then Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to me, took the bucket, and the bucket became a large bucket in his hand. People were satisfied with it, and I have not seen any outstanding man who could draw water with a bucket better than Umar.
Hadith 9821
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ يَهُودِيٌّ بِسُوقِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَالَّذِي اصْطَفَى مُوسَى عَلَى الْبَشَرِ . قَالَ : فَلَطَمَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، فَقَالَ : تَقُولُ هَذَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِينَا . قَالَ : فَأَتَى الْيَهُودِيُّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَصَعِقَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ إِلا مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيهِ أُخْرَى فَإِذَا هُمْ قِيَامٌ يَنْظُرُونَ سورة الزمر آية 68 ، قَالَ : " فَأَكُونُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ ، فَإِذَا مُوسَى آخِذٌ بِقَائِمَةٍ مِنْ قَوَائِمِ الْعَرْشِ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ قَبْلِي ، أَمْ كَانَ مِمَّنْ اسْتَثْنَى اللَّهُ ، وَمَنْ قَالَ أَنِّي خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى ، فَقَدْ كَذَبَ " .
It is narrated from the previous chain that (once there was a dispute between two men, one of whom was a Muslim and the other a Jew. The Muslim, swearing by his statement, said: "By Him Who has chosen Muhammad (peace be upon him) above all the worlds," and) the Jew, swearing, said: "By Him Who has chosen Moses (peace be upon him) above all the worlds." At this, the Muslim became angry and slapped the Jew, saying to him: "You say this while the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is present among us?" The Jew went to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and related the whole incident. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "On the Day when the Trumpet will be blown, all creatures in the heavens and the earth will fall unconscious except whom Allah wills. Then the Trumpet will be blown again, and they will stand up looking on. I will be the first to regain consciousness, and I will see that Moses is holding onto one of the pillars of the Throne. I do not know whether he was among those who fell unconscious and regained consciousness before me, or whether he was among those whom Allah exempted. And whoever says that I am better than Yunus (Jonah) (peace be upon him), he is lying."
Hadith 9822
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : إِذَا أَحَبَّ الْعَبْدُ لِقَائِي أَحْبَبْتُ لِقَاءَهُ ، وَإِذَا كَرِهَ الْعَبْدُ لِقَائِي كَرِهْتُ لِقَاءَهُ " . قَالَ : فَقِيلَ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : مَا مِنَّا مِنْ أَحَدٍ ، إِلَّا وَهُوَ يَكْرَهُ الْمَوْتَ وَيَفْظَعُ بِهِ ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : إِنَّهُ إِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ كَشَفَ له .
And the command of Allah Almighty is: When My servant likes to meet Me, I also like to meet him, and when he dislikes meeting Me... Someone said to Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): Each one of us dislikes death and is afraid of it? He replied: What is meant is the time when the veils are lifted.
Hadith 9823
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَدْخُلُ فُقَرَاءُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الْجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ ، بِنِصْفِ يَوْمٍ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ " .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The poor believers will enter Paradise five hundred years before the wealthy Muslims.
Hadith 9824
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ , أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ يعنِي ابْنِ عَمْرو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْنِي : " قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَ كَخَلْقِي ، فَلْيَخْلُقُوا بَعُوضَةً , أَوْ لِيَخْلُقُوا ذَرَّةً " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "Who could be more unjust than the one who tries to create like Me? Such people should try to create a particle or a mosquito."
Hadith 9825
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يعْنِي ابنَ حَسَّان ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا لَمْ تَجِدُوا إِلَّا مَرَابِضَ الْغَنَمِ ، وَمَعَاطِنَ الْإِبِلِ ، فَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ ، وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَعَاطِنِ الْإِبِلِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you do not find any place to pray except the enclosures of goats and camels, then pray in the enclosure of goats, do not pray in the enclosure of camels.
Hadith 9826
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : " انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى يَهُودَ " ، فَخَرَجْنَا مَعَهُ حَتَّى جِئْنَا بَيْتَ الْمِدْرَاسِ ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَنَادَاهُمْ : " يَا مَعْشَرَ الْيَهُودِ ، أَسْلِمُوا تَسْلَمُوا " . فَقَالُوا : قَدْ بَلَّغْتَ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ . قَالَ لهم رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ذَاكَ أُرِيدُ " . ثُمَّ قَالَهَا الثَّالِثَةَ , فَقَالَ : " اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ، وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُجْلِيَكُمْ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَرْضِ ، فَمَنْ وَجَدَ مِنْكُمْ بِمَالِهِ شَيْئًا فَلْيَبِعْهُ ، وَإِلَّا فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he was in Masjid Nabawi when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived and said, "Let us go to the Jews." So we set out with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and reached Bayt al-Madras (a synagogue of the Jews). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) invited them three times, saying, "O group of Jews! Accept Islam, you will find peace." And each time they replied, "Abul Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him), you have conveyed your message (and fulfilled your duty)." In the end, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Remember! The earth belongs to Allah and His Messenger, and I wish to expel you from this region. Therefore, whoever among you has any wealth, sell it. Otherwise, remember! The earth belongs to Allah and His Messenger."
Hadith 9827
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا فُتِحَتْ خَيْبَرُ ، أُهْدِيَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَاةٌ فِيهَا سُمٌّ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " اجْمَعُوا لِي مَنْ كَانَ هَاهُنَا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ " . فَجَمَعُوا لَهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنِّي سَائِلُكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ صَادِقِيَّ عَنْهُ ؟ " . قَالُوا : نَعَمْ , يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ . فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَبُوكُمْ ؟ " . قَالُوا : أَبُونَا فُلَانٌ . قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " كَذَبْتُمْ ، أَبُوكُمْ فُلَانٌ " . قَالُوا : صَدَقْتَ وَبَرَرْتَ . قَالَ لَهُمْ : " هَلْ أَنْتُمْ صَادِقِيَّ عَنْ شَيْءٍ سَأَلْتُكُمْ عَنْهُ ؟ " . قَالُوا : نَعَمْ , يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ، وَإِنْ كَذَبْنَاكَ عَرَفْتَ كَذِبَنَا كَمَا عَرَفْتَهُ فِي أَبِينَا . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ أَهْلُ النَّارِ ؟ " . قَالُوا : نَكُونُ فِيهَا يَسِيرًا ، ثُمَّ تَخْلُفُونَنَا فِيهَا . فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا نَخْلُفُكُمْ فِيهَا أَبَدًا " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ : " هَلْ أَنْتُمْ صَادِقِيَّ عَنْ شَيْءٍ سَأَلْتُكُمْ عَنْهُ ؟ " . فَقَالُوا : نَعَمْ , يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ . فَقَالَ : " هَلْ جَعَلْتُمْ فِي هَذِهِ الشَّاةِ سُمًّا ؟ " . قَالُوا : نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " فَمَا حَمَلَكُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ؟ " . قَالُوا : أَرَدْنَا إِنْ كُنْتَ كَاذِبًا نَسْتَرِيحُ مِنْكَ ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ نَبِيًّا لَمْ تَضُرَّكَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Khaybar was conquered, a goat was sent as a gift to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the Jews, which was actually poisoned. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to know of it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Gather all the Jews who are here." So they were gathered. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them, "I want to ask you something. Will you speak the truth?" They said, "Yes, O Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him)." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Who is your father?" They said, "So-and-so man." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You are lying. Your father is so-and-so." They said, "You have spoken the truth." Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If I ask you something, will you answer it correctly?" They agreed and said, "If we lie, you will find out yourself, just as you found out about our father." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Who are the people of Hell?" They said, "For a while, we will remain in it, then your Ummah (nation)." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "We will never follow you into Hell." Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If I ask you something, will you answer it correctly?" They agreed. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Did you put poison in this goat?" They admitted it. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Why did you do this?" They said, "We wanted that if you (God forbid) are a liar, we would be rid of you, and if you are a true Prophet, then it would not harm you."
Hadith 9828
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ نَبِيٌّ إِلَّا قَدْ أُعْطِيَ مِنَ الْآيَاتِ مَا مِثْلَهُ آمَنَ عَلَيْهِ الْبَشَرُ ، وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ الَّذِي أُوتِيتُهُ وَحْيًا أَوْحَاهُ اللَّهُ إِلَيَّ ، فَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَكُونَ أَكْثَرَهُمْ تَابِعًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every prophet was certainly given some miracles upon which people believed, and the miracle that has been given to me is the revelation from Allah which He sends to me, and I hope that on the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be more than those of all the other prophets.
Hadith 9829
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْأَرْبَعِ : مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ ، وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ ، وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لَا تَشْبَعُ ، وَمِنْ دُعَاءٍ لَا يُسْمَعُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from four things: from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that is devoid of fear and humility, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from a supplication that is not accepted.
