Hadith 9830
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : لَيْثٌ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي بُكَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نُعَيْمٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُجْمِرِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَوْقَ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ , فَقَرَأَ إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ ، فَسَجَدَ فِيهَا ، وَقَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْجُدُ فِيهَا " .
Nuaim says that once I prayed with Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) on top of this mosque. In it, he recited Surah Inshiqaq, and upon reaching the verse of prostration, he performed the prostration of recitation. He said that I have also seen the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prostrate here.
Hadith 9831
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، وَيُونُسُ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي بُكَيْرٌ ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا يُنَجِّي أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ " ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : وَلَا أَنْتَ ، يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ : " وَلَا أَنَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ ، وَلَكِنْ سَدِّدُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you will be saved by his deeds. A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), not even you?" He replied, "Not even me, unless my Lord covers me with His forgiveness and mercy. However, you should remain steadfast on the straight path."
Hadith 9832
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In Paradise, there is a tree under whose shade a rider can travel for a hundred years.
Hadith 9833
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْلًا قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ ، فَجَاءَتْ بِرَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي حَنِيفَةَ ثُمَامَةُ بْنُ أُثَالٍ سَيِّدُ أَهْلِ الْيَمَامَةِ ، فَرَبَطُوهُ بِسَارِيَةٍ مِنْ سَوَارِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ لَهُ : " مَاذَا عِنْدَكَ يَا ثُمَامَةُ ؟ " . قَالَ : عِنْدِي يَا مُحَمَّدُ خَيْرٌ ، إِنْ تَقْتُلْ تَقْتُلْ ذَا دَمٍ ، وَإِنْ تُنْعِمْ تُنْعِمْ عَلَى شَاكِرٍ ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تُرِيدُ الْمَالَ فَسَلْ تُعْطَ مِنْهُ مَا شِئْتَ . فَتَرَكَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ الْغَدُ ، قَالَ لَهُ : " مَا عِنْدَكَ يَا ثُمَامَةُ ؟ " . قَالَ : مَا قُلْتُ لَكَ ، إِنْ تُنْعِمْ تُنْعِمْ عَلَى شَاكِرٍ ، وَإِنْ تَقْتُلْ تَقْتُلْ ذَا دَمٍ ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تُرِيدُ الْمَالَ فَسَلْ تُعْطَ مِنْهُ مَا شِئْتَ . فَتَرَكَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , حَتَّى كَانَ بَعْدَ الْغَدِ , فَقَالَ : " مَا عِنْدَكَ يَا ثُمَامَةُ ؟ " . فَقَالَ عِنْدِي مَا قُلْتُ لَكَ ، إِنْ تُنْعِمْ تُنْعِمْ عَلَى شَاكِرٍ ، وَإِنْ تَقْتُلْ تَقْتُلْ ذَا دَمٍ ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تُرِيدُ الْمَالَ فَسَلْ تُعْطَ مِنْهُ مَا شِئْتَ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " انْطَلِقُوا بِثُمَامَةَ " . فَانْطَلَقُوا بِهِ إِلَى نَخْلٍ قَرِيبٍ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ ، , فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ , فَقَالَ : أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، يَا مُحَمَّدُ وَاللَّهِ مَا كَانَ عَلَى وَجْهٌ الْأَرْضِ أَبْغَضَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ وَجْهِكَ ، فَقَدْ أَصْبَحَ وَجْهُكَ أَحَبَّ الْوُجُوهِ كُلِّهَا إِلَيَّ ، وَوَاللَّهِ مَا كَانَ مِنْ دِينٍ أَبْغَضَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ دِينِكَ ، فَأَصْبَحَ دِينُكَ أَحَبَّ الْأَدْيَانِ إِلَيَّ ، وَاللَّهِ مَا كَانَ مِنْ بَلَدٍ أَبْغَضَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ بَلَدِكَ ، فَأَصْبَحَ بَلَدُكَ أَحَبَّ الْبِلَادِ إِلَيَّ ، وَإِنَّ خَيْلَكَ أَخَذَتْنِي ، وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْعُمْرَةَ ، فَمَاذَا تَرَى ؟ . فَبَشَّرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَعْتَمِرَ ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ قَالَ لَهُ قَائِلٌ : صَبَأْتَ ؟ فَقَالَ : لَا ، وَلَكِنْ أَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ مُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَا وَاللَّهِ لَا يَأْتِيكُمْ مِنَ الْيَمَامَةِ حَبَّةُ حِنْطَةٍ ، حَتَّى يَأْذَنَ فِيهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a detachment towards Najd. The Muslims captured a man named Thumamah bin Uthal, who was the chief of Yamamah, an honorable and wealthy man, and imprisoned him. When he passed by the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet asked him, "Thumamah, what is your intention?" He replied, "If you kill me, you will be killing a person whose blood is precious. If you show kindness to me, you will be showing kindness to a grateful person. And if you desire wealth, you will get it." Whenever the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by him, he would ask him the same question, and he would give the same answer as before. One day, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Release Thumamah." The people, at his request, took him to a well belonging to the Ansar and gave him a bath. Then he recited the testimony of faith and said, "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), until yesterday evening, there was no face more disliked by me than yours, no religion more disliked by me than your religion, and no city more disliked by me than your city. But now, your religion is the most beloved of all religions to me, your blessed face is the most beloved of all faces to me, and your city is the most beloved of all cities to me. Your horsemen had captured me while I was going with the intention of performing Umrah. Now, what is your opinion?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him glad tidings and permitted him to perform Umrah. When he reached Makkah, someone said to him, "Have you also become irreligious?" He replied, "No, rather I have become a Muslim at the hand of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and by Allah, after today, not a single grain of food will reach you from Yamamah until the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permits it."
Hadith 9834
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَبَيْنَ خَالَةِ أَبِيهَا ، وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَةِ أُمِّهَا ، أَوْ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّةِ أَبِيهَا ، أَوْ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّةِ أُمِّهَا ، فَقَالَ : قَالَ قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ ذُؤَيْبٍ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَخَالَتِهَا ، وَبَيْنَ الْمَرْأَةِ وَعَمَّتِهَا " . فَنَرَى خَالَةَ أُمِّهَا ، وَعَمَّةَ أُمِّهَا ، بِتِلْكَ الْمَنْزِلَةِ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الرَّضَاعِ يَكُونُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِتِلْكَ الْمَنْزِلَةِ .
Someone asked Imam Zuhri, may Allah have mercy on him, whether a man can combine in marriage a woman and her paternal aunt, or her maternal aunt, or her father's paternal aunt, or her own paternal aunt. He narrated this hadith of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, from Qabeesah bin Dhu’ayb, that the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade combining a woman and her aunt or paternal aunt in marriage. And our opinion is that her mother's aunt and paternal aunt also fall under this category, and if the relationship is through breastfeeding, then that too falls under this category.
Hadith 9835
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَا تَأْتُوهَا تَسْعَوْنَ ، وَأْتُوهَا تَمْشُونَ , وَعَلَيْكُمْ السَّكِينَةُ ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا ، وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not come running for prayer, rather come with calmness and tranquility. Whatever part of the prayer you catch, perform it, and complete what you have missed.
Hadith 9836
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ قَالَ لِصَبِيٍّ : تَعَالَ هَاكَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يُعْطِهِ ، فَهِيَ كَذْبَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever says to a child, "Come here, take this," and then does not give him anything, this is a lie.
Hadith 9837
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ . وَحَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : أَنَا أَشْبَهُكُمْ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَالَ : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ ، قَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ ، قَالَا : وَكَانَ يُكَبِّرُ إِذَا رَكَعَ ، وَإِذَا قَامَ مِنَ السُّجُودِ ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that, regarding prayer, I am the most similar to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) among all of you. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah," he would say "Allahumma Rabbana wa lakal hamd." And whenever he would go into bowing (ruku'), or when he would raise his head from one prostration (sajdah) to perform the second prostration, or when he would stand up for the second rak'ah, at every such occasion he would say the takbeer.
Hadith 9838
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ . وَحَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ ، لَا يُبَالِي الْمَرْءُ بِمَا أَخَذَ مِنَ الْمَالِ بِحَلَالٍ أَوْ بِحَرَامٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A time will come upon the people when a person will not care whether he is acquiring wealth through lawful means or unlawful means.
Hadith 9839
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، وَيَزِيدُ , قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ لَمْ يَدَعْ قَوْلَ الزُّورِ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ وَالْجَهْلَ ، فَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ حَاجَةٌ أَنْ يَدَعَ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever does not give up false speech, actions, and ignorance while fasting, then Allah has no need for him to leave his food and drink.
Hadith 9840
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : لَوْلَا أَمْرَانِ لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ عَبْدًا مَمْلُوكًا ، وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ الْمَمْلُوكَ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَصْنَعَ فِي مَالِهِ شَيْئًا ، وَذَلِكَ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ عَبْدًا يُؤَدِّي حَقَّ اللَّهِ وَحَقَّ سَيِّدِهِ ، إِلَّا وَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ أَجْرَهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that if it were not for two things, I would have preferred to remain a slave in someone’s possession, because a slave cannot dispose of his wealth, and the reason for this is that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: When a slave fulfills the rights of both Allah and his master, he receives double reward for every deed.
Hadith 9841
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا يُوطِنُ رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَالذِّكْرِ ، إِلَّا تَبَشْبَشَ اللَّهُ بِهِ ، يَعْنِي حِينَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ ، كَمَا يَتَبَشْبَشُ أَهْلُ الْغَائِبِ بِغَائِبِهِمْ إِذَا قَدِمَ عَلَيْهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution and does it thoroughly and with complete care, then comes to the mosque with the sole intention of offering prayer, Allah Almighty becomes pleased with him as the family of a traveler becomes pleased upon his arrival home.
Hadith 9842
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 9843
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْءَمَةِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ مَجْلِسًا لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ فِيهِ وَلَمْ يُصَلُّوا عَلَى نَبِيِّهِمْ ، إِلَّا كَانَ عَلَيْهِمْ تِرَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Those people who gather in a place for a meeting but do not remember Allah in it nor send blessings upon the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and then disperse, it will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 9844
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي بُكَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَعْثٍ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنْ وَجَدْتُمْ فُلَانًا وَفُلَانًا لِرَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَأَحْرِقُوهُمَا بِالنَّارِ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم حِينَ أَرَدْنَا الْخُرُوجَ : " إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَمَرْتُكُمْ أَنْ تُحْرِقُوا فُلَانًا وَفُلَانًا بِالنَّارِ ، وَإِنَّ النَّارَ لَا يُعَذِّبُ بِهَا إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، فَإِنْ وَجَدْتُمُوهُمَا فَاقْتُلُوهُمَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once sent us with an army and, mentioning the names of two men from the Quraysh, said: "If you find these two, burn them in the fire." Then, when we were about to set out with the intention of departure, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I had ordered you regarding such-and-such men that you should burn them in the fire, but only Allah can punish with fire. Therefore, if you find them, kill them."
Hadith 9845
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : أَتَى رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ , فَنَادَاهُ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي زَنَيْتُ . فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ فَتَنَحَّى ، تِلْقَاءَ وَجْهِهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي زَنَيْتُ . فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ , حَتَّى ثَنَّى ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ ، فَلَمَّا شَهِدَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ ، دَعَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : " أَبِكَ جُنُونٌ ؟ " قَالَ : لَا . قَالَ : " فَهَلْ أَحْصَنْتَ ؟ " . قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " اذْهَبُوا بِهِ فَارْجُمُوهُ " . قَالَ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ : فَأَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : كُنْتُ فِيمَنْ رَجَمَهُ ، فَرَجَمْنَاهُ فِي الْمُصَلَّى ، فَلَمَّا أَذْلَقَتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ هَرَبَ ، فَأَدْرَكْنَاهُ بِالْحَرَّةِ ، فَرَجَمْنَاهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Muslim came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have committed the sin of adultery." Upon hearing this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned his face away. He came from the right side and said the same thing. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again turned his face away. Then he came from the left side and said the same thing. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again turned away. But when he confessed for the fourth time, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Are you insane?" He said, "No." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Are you married?" He said, "Yes!" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Take him and carry out the punishment of stoning upon him." The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) took him away. Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says, "I was also among those who stoned him. We stoned him at the Eidgah. When the stones hit him, he started to run away. We caught him at Harrah and stoned him to death."
Hadith 9846
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ قَضَى فِيمَنْ زَنَى وَلَمْ يُحْصِنْ ، أَنْ يُنْفَى عَامًا مَعَ الْحَدِّ عَلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the ruling regarding an unmarried fornicator that along with carrying out the prescribed punishment (hadd), he should also be exiled for one year as a disciplinary measure.
Hadith 9847
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ ، لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you were to know what I know, you would begin to weep much and laugh little.
Hadith 9848
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُؤْتَى بِالرَّجُلِ الْمُتَوَفَّى عَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ ، فَيَسْأَلُ : " هَلْ تَرَكَ لِذَلِكَ مِنْ قَضَاءٍ ؟ " . فَإِنْ قَالُوا : نَعَمْ ، إِنَّهُ تَرَكَ وَفَاءً صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ، وَإِلَّا قَالَ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ : " صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ " . فَلَمَّا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْفُتُوحَ ، قَامَ فَقَالَ : " أَنَا أَوْلَى بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ ، فَمَنْ تُوُفِّيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَتَرَكَ دَيْنًا فَعَلَيَّ قَضَاؤُهُ ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَالًا فَهُوَ لِوَرَثَتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when a funeral was brought to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he would first ask, "Does this person have any debt?" If people said, "Yes," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would ask, "Has he left anything to pay it off?" If people said, "Yes," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would lead the funeral prayer. But if they replied in the negative, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would say, "You should offer the funeral prayer of your companion yourselves." Then Allah opened the doors of conquest, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) announced, "I have more right over the believers than their own selves, so whoever dies leaving a debt, its payment is my responsibility, and whoever leaves wealth, it is for his heirs."
Hadith 9849
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَا طِيَرَةَ , وَخَيْرُهَا الْفَأْلُ " ، قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَمَا الْفَأْلُ ؟ قَالَ : " كَلِمَةٌ صَالِحَةٌ يَسْمَعُهَا أَحَدُكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: There is no reality in bad omens, but the best is optimism. Someone asked, O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by optimism? He replied: A good word that any of you hears.
Hadith 9850
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ الْيَهُودَ ، وَالنَّصَارَى ، اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: May Allah's curse be upon the Jews, for they made the graves of their prophets places of prostration.
Hadith 9851
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَقُومُ ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَرْكَعُ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ حِينَ يَرْفَعُ صُلْبَهُ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَهْوِي سَاجِدًا ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَهْوِي سَاجِدًا ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ ، ثُمَّ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ كُلِّهَا حَتَّى يَقْضِيَهَا ، وَيُكَبِّرُ حِينَ يَقُومُ مِنَ اللَّتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْجُلُوسِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand for prayer and go into bowing (ruku‘), he would say the takbeer, and when he would raise his back from ruku‘, he would say "Sami‘ Allahu liman hamidah," and while standing he would say "Rabbana lakal hamd." Then, when going into prostration (sajdah), when raising his head from prostration, when going into prostration again, and when raising his head, he would say the takbeer. He would do this throughout the entire prayer until he completed the prayer. Similarly, after the sitting (qa‘dah), when he would stand up after two rak‘ahs, he would also say the takbeer.
Hadith 9852
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ دَارَّةَ مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّا لَبِالْبَقِيعِ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ إِذْ سَمِعْنَاهُ يَقُولُ : أَنَا أَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِشَفَاعَةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، قَالَ : فَتَدَاكَّ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالُوا : إِيهٍ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ ! قَالَ : يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَكَ يُؤْمِنُ بِي ، لَا يُشْرِكُ بِكَ " .
Ibn Warah, who was the freed slave of Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), says that we were with Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) in Jannat al-Baqi‘. We heard him saying that among the people, I know best who will benefit most from the intercession of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Day of Resurrection. The people crowded around him and insisted, "May Allah's mercy be upon you, please tell us." He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray: "O Allah! Forgive every Muslim servant who meets You in such a state that he believes in me and does not associate anyone with You."
Hadith 9853
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : أَوْ قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاة وَالسَّلَامُ : " صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَعُدُّوا ثَلَاثِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard Abul Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Fast upon sighting the moon, and celebrate Eid upon sighting the moon. If the moon is not visible and the sky is cloudy, then complete the count to thirty."
Hadith 9854
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَوْ قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever drags his lower garment on the ground out of pride, Allah will not look at him with mercy.
Hadith 9855
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَتَعَوَّذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ " .
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet used to seek refuge from the torment of Hell, the torment of the grave, and the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal).
Hadith 9856
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " لَيُذَادَنَّ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي عَنِ الْحَوْضِ ، كَمَا تُذَادُ الْغَرِيبَةُ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Some of my companions will be driven away from my cistern just as a strange camel is driven away from the camels.
Hadith 9857
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ جُحَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ : " نَهَى عَنْ كَسْبِ الْإِمَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade earnings from the prostitution of slave women.
Hadith 9858
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَوْ قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْعَجْمَاءُ جَرْحُهَا جُبَارٌ ، وَالْبِئْرُ جُبَارٌ ، وَالْمَعْدِنُ جُبَارٌ ، وَفِي الرَّكَائِزِ الْخُمُسُ " ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : مَا سَمِعْتُ أَحَدًا يَقُولُ : الرَّكَائِزَ غَيْرَهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the blood of one who dies because of an animal is wasted, the blood of one who dies by falling into a well is wasted, the blood of one who dies in a mine is also wasted, and for the buried treasure (found by someone), one-fifth (khums) is obligatory.
Hadith 9859
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، وَأَبُو النَّضْرِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ سَجَدَ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed a prostration of recitation in Surah Inshiqaq.
Hadith 9860
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " تَفْضُلُ صَلَاةُ الْجَمَاعَةِ عَلَى صَلَاةِ الْوَحْدَةِ سَبْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ دَرَجَةً ، أَوْ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ دَرَجَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The superiority of prayer offered in congregation over prayer offered alone is twenty-seven or twenty-five degrees greater.
Hadith 9861
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْخَلَاءَ ، دَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَاسْتَنْجَى ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would enter the toilet, he would have water brought for istinja, then rub his hand on the ground and wash it, and then perform ablution.
Hadith 9862
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْءَمَةِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتًا فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ ، وَمَنْ حَمَلَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever bathes a deceased person should also perform ghusl himself, and whoever carries the bier should perform wudu.
Hadith 9863
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ سَلْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ النَّخَعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ تَسَمَّى بِاسْمِي ، فَلَا يَتَكَنَّى بِكُنْيَتِي ، وَمَنْ تَكَنَّى بِكُنْيَتِي ، فَلَا يَتَسَمَّى بِاسْمِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever names himself after my name should not adopt my kunya, and whoever adopts my kunya should not take my name.

Hadith 9865
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى التَّوْءَمَةِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَلَا شَيْءَ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer in the mosque, there is no reward for him.
Hadith 9866
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ عِرَاكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ مِنْ شِرَارِ النَّاسِ ذَا الْوَجْهَيْنِ ، الَّذِي يَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ , وَهَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: The worst person among the people is the one who is two-faced; he comes to some people with one face and to others with another face.
Hadith 9867
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ , أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " بُعِثْتُ بِجَوَامِعِ الْكَلِمِ ، وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ ، وَبَيْنَمَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ أُتِيتُ بِمَفَاتِيحِ خَزَائِنِ الْأَرْضِ ، فَوُضِعَتْ فِي يَدَيَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been sent with concise and comprehensive speech, and once while I was sleeping, the keys to all the treasures of the earth were brought to me and placed in my hand.
Hadith 9868
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَأَنْ يَحْتَزِمَ أَحَدُكُمْ حُزْمَةَ حَطَبٍ فَيَحْمِلَهَا عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ فَيَبِيعَهَا ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ رَجُلًا يُعْطِيهِ أَوْ يَمْنَعُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is better for any one of you to gather a bundle of firewood, carry it on his back, sell it, and eat from its earnings or give it in charity, than to go to someone and ask him (for something), whether he gives him or refuses.
Hadith 9869
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ مِنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you wakes up from his sleep, he should not put his hand into a vessel until he has washed it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night.
