Musnad Ahmad

It is narrated with the previous chain that I heard Abu al-Qasim (peace be upon him) saying: As long as I leave you regarding a matter, you also leave me regarding it, for the nations before you were only destroyed because of their excessive questioning and their disagreement with their prophets. So, whatever I forbid you from, abstain from it, and whatever I command you, do it to the best of your ability.

It is narrated with the same chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) saying: If you were to know what I know, you would begin to weep much and laugh little. However, remain on the right path, stay close, and accept glad tidings.

It is narrated from the same chain of transmission that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) say: By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace be upon him), I will surely drive away some people from my cistern just as a strange camel is driven away from the camels.

It is narrated from the same chain that I heard Abu al-Qasim (peace be upon him) saying: If the mountain of Uhud were to turn into gold for me, I would not like to die leaving even a single dinar, except for that which I set aside to pay off a debt that is due upon me.

It is narrated from the same chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) say: "This fire of yours which the children of Adam kindle is one part out of seventy parts of the fire of Hell." The noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, even this one part is sufficient." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The fire of Hell is sixty-nine degrees hotter than this, and each degree is like the heat of this (worldly fire)."

It is narrated with the previous chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) saying: A man was walking with pride and arrogance, wearing the best clothes, feeling great admiration for his hair, and he had let his lower garment hang below his ankles. Suddenly, Allah caused the earth to swallow him up, and he will continue to sink into the earth until the Day of Resurrection.

It is narrated with the previous chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) say: A woman entered Hell because of a cat which she had tied up; she neither fed it nor gave it water, nor did she let it go free so that it could eat the insects of the earth on its own.

It is narrated with the same chain that I heard Abu al-Qasim (peace be upon him) say: The blood of one who is killed by an animal is wasted; the blood of one who dies by falling into a well is wasted; the blood of one who dies in a mine is also wasted; and for buried treasure that someone finds, one-fifth (khums) is obligatory.

Muhammad bin Ali (may Allah have mercy on him) says that a man said to Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) used to recite Surah Al-Jumu'ah and Surah Al-Munafiqun in the Friday prayer. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to recite these two surahs.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever obeys me has indeed obeyed Allah, and whoever disobeys me has disobeyed Allah. Whoever obeys the leader has obeyed me, and whoever disobeys the leader has disobeyed me. And the leader is like a shield, so when he says the takbeer, you also say the takbeer; when he bows (in ruku‘), you also bow; when he says "Sami‘ Allahu liman hamidah," you say "Rabbana lakal hamd"; and when he prays sitting, then all of you also pray sitting.

And he said: Caesar will perish, and after him there will be no Caesar, and Chosroes will perish, and after him there will be no Chosroes.

And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to seek Allah’s protection from five things: from the punishment of Hell, from the grave, from the trials of life and death, and from the tribulation of the False Messiah (Dajjal).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Quraysh, Ansar, Juhaina, Muzaina, Aslam, Ghifar, and Ashja' tribes are my allies. They have no protector except Allah and His Messenger."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) by mistake led two rak'ahs of Zuhr prayer and ended the prayer with salam. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "Has the prayer been shortened?" Upon this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, added two more rak'ahs, and after ending the prayer with salam, performed two prostrations of forgetfulness (sujood as-sahw).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the tribe of Aslam, Ghifar, and a part of Muzaina and Juhaina will be better in the sight of Allah than Banu Asad, Banu Uzfan, Hawazin, and Tamim.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not appropriate for any servant to go about saying, "I am better than Hazrat Yunus (peace be upon him)."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The reward for offering prayer in my mosque is one thousand times greater than in all other mosques, except for Masjid al-Haram.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any woman who spends the night away from her husband's bed (due to displeasure), the angels curse her throughout the night (until she returns)."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In this black seed there is a cure for every disease except death.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In this black seed there is a cure for every disease except death.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a man is declared bankrupt and someone finds his own property with him in its original form, then he has more right to that property than others.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In this black seed there is a cure for every disease except death.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is permissible to dedicate something as a waqf (endowment) for a lifetime.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a person has a partnership in a slave and he frees his share, then if he is wealthy, it is his responsibility to free the slave completely.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (men from) wearing gold rings.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the palms and feet of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were full. After the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I have not seen anyone like him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no zakat on a Muslim’s horse and slave.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever sees me in a dream should be certain that he has indeed seen me, for Satan cannot take my form or appearance. And whoever deliberately attributes a false statement to me should make his abode in Hell.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Shall I not tell you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?" He said, "Say: La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If knowledge were to be found even at the Pleiades star, some people from among the sons of Persia would surely acquire it from there.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever buys a goat (having been deceived) whose udders have been tied, then he should either keep the animal with himself (and resolve the matter) or return the animal to its owner and along with it give one sa’ of dates.

It is narrated from the same chain that I heard Abu al-Qasim (peace be upon him) say: The best women among those who ride camels are the women of Quraysh, who are most compassionate to their children in childhood and are the greatest protectors of their husbands with regard to themselves.

It is narrated with the previous chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) say: Fast upon sighting the moon, celebrate Eid upon sighting the moon, and if the moon is not visible and the sky is cloudy, then complete the count to thirty.

It is narrated with the same chain that I heard Abu al-Qasim (peace be upon him) saying: None of you will be saved by his deeds. A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), not even you?" He replied, "Not even me, unless my Lord covers me with His forgiveness and mercy." After saying this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) placed his hand on his head.

It is narrated with the previous chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) saying: "O servants of Allah, be brothers to one another, do not harbor enmity and hatred among yourselves."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If people were walking in one valley and the Ansar in another valley, I would walk with the Ansar in their valley. If there had been no migration, I would have been one of the Ansar.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah forgive the tribe of Ghifar and may Allah grant safety to the tribe of Aslam.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard Abul Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) say: In Paradise, there is a tree such that if a rider were to travel in its shade for a hundred years, he would still not be able to cross it.

It is narrated with the previous chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) saying: The best among you are those who have good character and are jurists.

It is narrated with the same chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The needy is not the one who is turned away with one or two dates or one or two morsels; the real needy is the one who does not have enough to suffice himself and does not go around asking from others insistently.
