Hadith 9630
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ، تُسَافِرُ يَوْمًا إِلَّا مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for any woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel for even one day without a mahram from her family."
Hadith 9631
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " ثَلَاثَةٌ كُلُّهُمْ حَقٌّ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : عَوْنُهُ الْمُجَاهِدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَالنَّاكِحُ لِيَسْتَعْفِفَ ، وَالْمُكَاتَبُ يُرِيدُ الْأَدَاءَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are three people whose help is incumbent upon Allah: (1) The one who fights in the way of Allah, (2) The one who marries to protect his chastity, (3) The slave who has made a contract for his freedom and wishes to pay off his contract.
Hadith 9632
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ آدَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْأَنْبِيَاءُ إِخْوَةٌ لِعَلَّاتٍ دِينُهُمْ وَاحِدٌ ، وَأُمَّهَاتُهُمْ شَتَّى ، وَأَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ، لِأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ نَبِيٌّ ، وَإِنَّهُ نَازِلٌ ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَاعْرِفُوهُ ، فَإِنَّهُ رَجُلٌ مَرْبُوعٌ إِلَى الْحُمْرَةِ وَالْبَيَاضِ ، سَبْطٌ كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ يَقْطُرُ ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ بَلَلٌ بَيْنَ مُمَصَّرَتَيْنِ ، فَيَكْسِرُ الصَّلِيبَ ، وَيَقْتُلُ الْخِنْزِيرَ ، وَيَضَعُ الْجِزْيَةَ ، وَيُعَطِّلُ الْمِلَلَ ، حَتَّى يُهْلِكَ اللَّهُ فِي زَمَانِهِ الْمِلَلَ كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَيُهْلِكُ اللَّهُ فِي زَمَانِهِ الْمَسِيحَ الدَّجَّالَ الْكَذَّابَ ، وَتَقَعُ الْأَمَنَةُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ، حَتَّى تَرْتَعَ الْإِبِلُ مَعَ الْأُسْدِ جَمِيعًا ، وَالنُّمُورُ مَعَ الْبَقَرِ ، وَالذِّئَابُ مَعَ الْغَنَمِ ، وَيَلْعَبَ الصِّبْيَانُ وَالْغِلْمَانُ بِالْحَيَّاتِ ، لَا يَضُرُّ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا ، فَيَمْكُثُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَمْكُثَ ، ثُمَّ يُتَوَفَّى ، فَيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَيَدْفِنُونَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: All the noble prophets (peace be upon them) are like paternal brothers (who have the same father but different mothers); all of their mothers are different but their religion is one. And among all people, I am the closest to Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) because there is no prophet between me and him. And soon he will descend upon the earth, so when you see him, recognize him by the following signs: He will be a man of medium height, of a reddish-white complexion, wearing two garments dyed with saffron. Drops of water will appear to be falling from his head, though he will not have been touched by wetness. Then he will break the cross, kill the swine, abolish the jizya, and invite people to Islam. In his time, Allah will erase all religions except Islam, and in his time, he will have the false messiah (Dajjal) killed, and peace and security will be established on the face of the earth, so much so that snakes will graze with camels, leopards with cows, and wolves with sheep, all drinking from the same place, and children will play with snakes and they will not harm them. In this way, Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) will live on the earth for forty years and then pass away, and the Muslims will perform his funeral prayer.
Hadith 9633
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ آدَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " الْأَنْبِيَاءُ " ، فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " حَتَّى يُهْلَكَ فِي زَمَانِهِ مَسِيحُ الضَّلَالَةِ الْأَعْوَرُ الْكَذَّابُ " .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 9634
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ فِي تَفْسِيرِ شَيْبَانَ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ آدَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 9635
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ الْمَسْجِدَ فَصَلَّى ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَلَّمَ ، فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ ، وَقَالَ : " ارْجِعْ فَصَلِّ ، فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ " ، فَرَجَعَ ، فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ ، مَا أُحْسِنُ غَيْرَ هَذَا فَعَلِّمْنِي . قَالَ : " إِذَا قُمْتَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَكَبِّرْ ، ثُمَّ اقْرَأْ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ، ثُمَّ ارْكَعْ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ رَاكِعًا ، ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ حَتَّى تَعْتَدِلَ قَائِمًا ، ثُمَّ اسْجُدْ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ سَاجِدًا ، ثُمَّ ارْفَعْ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ جَالِسًا ، ثُمَّ افْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فِي صَلَاتِكَ كُلِّهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a man came to the Prophet's Mosque and began to pray. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the mosque at that time. After completing his prayer, the man came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and greeted him with salam. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied to the salam and said, "Go and pray again, for you have not prayed." He went back and prayed again, and this happened three times. After that, he said, "By Him Who has sent you with the truth, I cannot pray better than this, so please teach me." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When you stand for prayer, say the takbeer, then recite as much of the Qur'an as is easy for you, then bow with calmness, then stand up straight, then prostrate with calmness, then sit with calmness, and do this throughout your prayer."
Hadith 9636
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا كِسْرَى بَعْدَ كِسْرَى ، وَلَا قَيْصَرَ بَعْدَ قَيْصَرَ ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَتُنْفَقَنَّ كُنُوزُهُمَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Kisra is destroyed, there will be no Kisra after him, and when Caesar is destroyed, there will be no Caesar after him. By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), you will surely spend their treasures in the way of Allah.
Hadith 9637
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، وَيَزِيدُ , عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ " كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ نَحْوًا مِنْ صَلَاةِ قَيْسٍ ، وَكَانَ قَيْسٌ لَا يُطَوِّلُ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : هَكَذَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي ؟ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، أَوْ أَوْجَزُ . وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ : وَأَوْجَزُ . حَدَّثَنَاه وَكِيعٌ , قَالَ : نَعَمْ , وَأَوْجَزُ .
Ismail narrates from his father that Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) used to lead them in prayer in Madinah like Qais, and Qais did not pray long prayers. I asked him, "Did the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also pray like this?" He replied, "Yes! Rather, even shorter than this."
Hadith 9638
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، وأبي سعيد , وَجَابِرٍ ، أو اثنين من هؤلاء الثلاثة : " أن النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الصَّرْفِ " .
It is narrated from any two among Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him), and Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the buying and selling of gold and silver on credit.
Hadith 9639
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي نُعْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ ، وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ ، وَالْوَرِقُ بِالْوَرِقِ ، مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ , يَدًا بِيَدٍ ، مَنْ زَادَ أَوْ ازْدَادَ ، فَقَدْ أَرْبَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Silver should be exchanged for silver and gold for gold, equal for equal, by weight. Whoever adds to it has engaged in usury.
Hadith 9640
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَنْ كَسْبِ الْإِمَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade earnings from the prostitution of slave women.
Hadith 9641
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِي وَمِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَمِنْبَرِي عَلَى حَوْضِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The area of land between my house and my pulpit is a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit will be set up over my cistern on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 9642
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمُؤْمِنُ يَغَارُ ، وَاللَّهُ أَشَدُّ غَيْرًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A believer is possessive, and Allah is even more possessive than him.
Hadith 9643
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا عَفَا رَجُلٌ إِلَّا زَادَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا عِزًّا ، وَلَا نَقَصَتْ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ مَالٍ ، وَلَا عَفَا رَجُلٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا زَادَهُ اللَّهُ عِزًّا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever overlooks an act of oppression, Allah increases him in honor, and wealth does not decrease because of charity, and whoever forgives, Allah increases him in honor.
Hadith 9644
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بن سَعيدٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَا يَرْفَعُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهِ الدَّرَجَاتِ ، وَيُكَفِّرُ بِهِ الْخَطَايَا ؟ كَثْرَةُ الْخُطَا إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ ، وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ ، وَإِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ عَلَى الْمَكَارِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shall I not tell you of something by which Allah raises ranks and erases sins? Performing ablution thoroughly despite natural dislike (especially in cold weather), taking many steps towards the mosques, and waiting for the next prayer after performing one prayer.
Hadith 9645
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَمْنَعُوا إِمَاءَ اللَّهِ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ ، وَلْيَخْرُجْنَ تَفِلَاتٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from coming to the mosque, but they should come in their ordinary state without adornment or beautification.
Hadith 9646
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " نَعَى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّجَاشِيَّ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى ، فَصَفَّ أَصْحَابُهُ خَلْفَهُ وَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day Najashi passed away, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us of Najashi's death and proceeded towards the Eidgah. The noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) formed rows behind the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the funeral prayer for Najashi and said four takbirs in it.
Hadith 9647
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ ، وَلَكِنَّ الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wealth is not in the abundance of possessions; true wealth is the wealth of the heart.
Hadith 9648
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ , حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم قَالَ : " مَثَلُ الْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، مَثَلُ الْقَانِتِ الصَّائِمِ فِي بَيْتِهِ الَّذِي لَا يَفْتُرُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ بِمَا رَجَعَ مِنْ غَنِيمَةٍ ، أَوْ يَتَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ فَيُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the example of a Mujahid striving in the way of Allah is like that of a person who spends the night in worship and fasts during the day in his home. He continues to receive the reward of fasting and standing in prayer as long as he does not return home with war booty or Allah causes him to die and enter Paradise.
Hadith 9649
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : ثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : أَعْدَدْتُ لِعِبَادِي الصَّالِحِينَ مَا لَا عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ ، وَلَا أُذُنٌ سَمِعَتْ ، وَلَا خَطَرَ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرٍ ، وَاقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ : فَلا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَا أُخْفِيَ لَهُمْ مِنْ قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ سورة السجدة آية 17 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "I have prepared for My righteous servants such things which no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever imagined." If you wish, recite this verse: "No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes." And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In Paradise, there is a tree such that if a rider were to travel in its shade for a hundred years, he would not be able to cross it." If you wish, recite this verse: "They will be in extended shade." And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In Paradise, the place of a whip belonging to any one of you is better than the world and whatever is in it." And he recited this verse: "Whoever is saved from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he has succeeded; and the life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion."
Hadith 9650
وَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ عَامٍ ، مَا يَقْطَعُهَا ، فَاقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ : وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ سورة الواقعة آية 30 " .
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, in Paradise there is a tree in whose shade a rider could travel for one hundred years and not cut through it. So recite if you wish: 'And extended shade' (Surat Al-Waqi'ah, verse 30)."
Hadith 9651
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " وَمَوْضِعُ سَوْطِ أَحَدِكُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا ، وَقَرَأَ : فَمَنْ زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ سورة آل عمران آية 185 " .
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The place of the whip of one of you in Paradise is better than the world and whatever is in it. And he recited: 'So whoever is removed from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he has indeed triumphed. And the life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion.' (Surah Al-Imran, verse 185)."
Hadith 9652
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عن مُحَمَّدُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم قَالَ : " إِذَا كَبَّرَ الْإِمَامُ فَكَبِّرُوا ، وَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا ، وَإِذَا سَجَدَ فَاسْجُدُوا ، وَإِنْ صَلَّى جَالِسًا فَصَلُّوا جُلُوسًا " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: When the imam says the takbeer, you should also say the takbeer; when he bows (in ruku‘), you should also bow; when he prostrates, you should also prostrate; and when he prays sitting, then all of you should also pray sitting.
Hadith 9653
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عن مُحَمَّدُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم قَالَ : " النَّاسُ مَعَادِنُ ، فَخِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ، خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ إِذَا فَقُهُوا " .
It is narrated with the same chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: People are like hidden treasures (mines); those who were the best in the time of ignorance are the best in Islam as well, provided they gain understanding of the religion.
Hadith 9654
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عن مُحَمَّدُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم قَالَ : " لَا تَقَدَّمُوا الشَّهْرَ بِيَوْمٍ وَلَا يَوْمَيْنِ ، إِلَّا أَنْ يُوَافِقَ أَحَدُكُمْ صَوْمًا كَانَ يَصُومُهُ ، صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْمًا ، ثُمَّ أَفْطِرُوا " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Do not fast one or two days before Ramadan, except for a person who has a habit of fasting, then he may fast. It is narrated with the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Begin fasting upon sighting the moon and celebrate Eid al-Fitr upon sighting the moon. If it is cloudy, then complete thirty days of fasting.
Hadith 9655
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عن مُحَمَّدُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم قَالَ : " فِي الْجَنِينِ غُرَّةٌ : عَبْدٌ ، أَوْ أَمَةٌ " . فَقَالَ الَّذِي قُضِيَ عَلَيْهِ : أَيَعْقِلُ مَنْ لَا أَكَلَ وَلَا شَرِبَ ، وَلَا صَاحَ ، وَلَا اسْتَهَلَّ ؟ ، فَمِثْلُ ذَلِكَ يُطَلُّ . فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ هَذَا ليقَوْلَ ، بقَوْلُ شَاعِرٍ , فِيهِ غُرَّةٌ : عَبْدٌ ، أَوْ أَمَةٌ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: The blood money (diyah) for a fetus is one ghurra, that is, a male or female slave. The one against whom this decision was made said: Does it make sense that blood money should be given for a child who neither ate nor drank, nor cried or moved? Such things are usually treated with leniency. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: He is uttering rhymed phrases like poets, but the ruling remains the same: in this case, one ghurra, that is, a male or female slave, is obligatory.
Hadith 9656
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عن مُحَمَّدُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم قَالَ : " الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يَرَاهَا الْمُسْلِمُ ، أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ , جُزْءٌ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: A good dream of a believer—either which he sees himself or someone else sees for him—is one forty-sixth part of prophethood.
Hadith 9657
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " تَنَامُ عَيْنِي ، وَلَا يَنَامُ قَلْبِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My eyes sleep but my heart does not sleep.
Hadith 9658
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ النِّسَاءِ خَيْرٌ ؟ ، قَالَ : " الَّتِي تَسُرُّهُ إِذَا نَظَرَ ، وَتُطِيعُهُ إِذَا أَمَرَ ، وَلَا تُخَالِفُهُ فِيمَا يَكْرَهُ فِي نَفْسِهَا ، وَمَالِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once someone asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "Which woman is the best?" He replied, "The woman who, when her husband looks at her, pleases him; when he commands her, she obeys him; and she does not oppose her husband in herself or in his wealth in anything he dislikes."
Hadith 9659
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَغْلِبَنَّكُمْ أَهْلُ الْبَادِيَةِ ، عَلَى اسْمِ صَلَاتِكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Let not the Bedouins overpower you regarding the name of your (Isha) prayer (so that you also begin to call it "Atamah").
Hadith 9660
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَدْنَى أَهْلِ النَّارِ عَذَابًا ، رَجُلٌ يُجْعَلُ لَهُ نَعْلَانِ يَغْلِي ، مِنْهُمَا دِمَاغُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The lightest punishment in Hell will be for the person who will be made to wear shoes of fire, due to which his brain will boil like a cauldron.
Hadith 9661
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أُقَاتِلُ النَّاسَ ، حَتَّى يَقُولُوا : لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، فَإِذَا قَالُوا : لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ , عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ ، وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah (there is no god but Allah). When they say this word, they have protected their lives and wealth from me, except for the right of this word.
Hadith 9662
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سُمَيٌّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا عَطَسَ ، وَضَعَ ثَوْبَهُ أَوْ يَدَهُ عَلَى جَبْهَتِهِ ، وَخَفَضَ أَوْ غَضَّ مِنْ صَوْتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sneezed, he would place his hand or cloth over his face and lower his voice.
Hadith 9663
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " نَعَى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّجَاشِيَّ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى فَصَفَّ أَصْحَابُهُ خَلْفَهُ , فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day Najashi passed away, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us of Najashi's death and went out towards the Eidgah. The noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) formed rows behind the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led his funeral prayer and said four takbirs in it.
Hadith 9664
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا انْتَهَى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْمَجْلِسِ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ ، فَإِنْ بَدَا لَهُ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ فَلْيَجْلِسْ ، ثُمَّ إِنْ قَامَ وَالْقَوْمُ جُلُوسٌ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ ، فَلَيْسَتْ الْأُولَى بِأَحَقَّ مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you arrives at a gathering, he should offer greetings of peace (salaam). Then, if he wishes to sit, he may sit. And when he wishes to stand up to leave the gathering, he should also offer greetings of peace (salaam). And the first occasion does not have more right than the second occasion.
Hadith 9665
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي خُبَيْبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " سَبْعَةٌ يُظِلُّهُمْ اللَّهُ فِي ظِلِّهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ : الْإِمَامُ الْعَادِلُ ، وَشَابٌّ نَشَأَ بِعِبَادَةِ اللَّهِ ، وَرَجُلٌ قَلْبُهُ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِالْمَسَاجِدِ ، وَرَجُلَانِ تَحَابَّا فِي اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اجْتَمَعَا عَلَيْهِ وَتَفَرَّقَا عَلَيْهِ ، وَرَجُلٌ تَصَدَّقَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَخْفَاهَا لَا تَعْلَمُ شِمَالُهُ مَا تُنْفِقُ يَمِينُهُ ، وَرَجُلٌ ذَكَرَ اللَّهَ خَالِيًا فَفَاضَتْ عَيْنَاهُ ، وَرَجُلٌ دَعَتْهُ امرأة ذَاتُ مَنْصِبٍ وَجَمَالٍ إِلَى نَفْسِهَا ، قَالَ : أَنَا أَخَافُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
Narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty will grant shade under His Throne to seven types of people on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade. (1) A just ruler, (2) a youth who grows up in the worship of Allah, (3) a man whose heart is attached to the mosque, (4) two men who love each other for the sake of Allah, gather for it and part for it, (5) a man who gives charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has spent, (6) a man who remembers Allah in solitude and his eyes overflow with tears, (7) a man whom a woman of status and beauty invites towards herself and he says, "I fear Allah." Narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah, I declare unlawful the unjust consumption of the wealth of two weak ones, the orphan and the woman.
Hadith 9666
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُحَرِّجُ حَقَّ الضَّعِيفَيْنِ : الْيَتِيمِ ، وَالْمَرْأَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade exchange marriages (watte satta) in which, without specifying a dowry, the exchange of relations itself is considered as the dowry.
Hadith 9667
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الله بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الشِّغَارِ ، قَالَ : وَالشِّغَارُ : أَنْ يَقُولَ الرَّجُلُ زَوِّجْنِي ابْنَتَكَ وَأُزَوِّجُكَ ابْنَتِي ، أَوْ زَوِّجْنِي أُخْتَكَ وَأُزَوِّجُكَ أُخْتِي " . قَالَ : " وَنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْغَرَرِ ، وَعَنِ الْحَصَاةِ " .
And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling by throwing pebbles and from deceptive trade.
Hadith 9668
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ثَوْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ ، وَيَحْضُرُ بِهَا الشَّيْطَانُ , وَحَسَدُ ابْنِ آدَمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The effect of the evil eye is true, and Satan is present at that time, and a person feels envy.
Hadith 9669
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " غُفِرَ لِرَجُلٍ نَحَّى غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ عَنْ طَرِيقِ النَّاسِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man removed a thorny branch from the path of the Muslims, and due to its blessing, he was forgiven.
