Narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the Fajr prayer and, upon returning, passed by the women present in the mosque, stopped there, and said: "O group of women, I have not seen any creature more deficient in intelligence and religion, yet more capable of seizing the hearts of wise men, than you. And I have seen that on the Day of Resurrection, the majority of the people of Hell will be from among you. Therefore, give charity as much as you can to seek nearness to Allah." By Allah, the Prophet swears that no month casts its shadow over the Muslims better than the month of Ramadan, and no month is harsher upon the hypocrites than Ramadan. Allah Almighty begins to write its reward and voluntary acts before its arrival, and He also begins to write the persistence of the hypocrites in their sins and their wretchedness beforehand. The reason for this is that Muslims prepare strength for worship in this month, while the hypocrites seek out people's heedlessness and faults. Thus, this month is a bounty for the Muslim, over which the sinful people are envious.
