Musnad Ahmad

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Are you not amazed at how Allah, in a wondrous way, turns away the abuses of the Quraysh from me? They curse and revile "Mudhammam," while my name is Muhammad (not Mudhammam).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Two men will not be gathered together in Hell in such a way that one harms the other: the Muslim who kills a disbeliever and then adopts the straight path, and the dust of jihad in the way of Allah and the smoke of Hell cannot be gathered together in the nostrils of a Muslim. Similarly, faith and miserliness cannot be gathered together in the heart of a Muslim.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There were two women, and with them were their two sons. Suddenly, a wolf came from somewhere and took away one of the boys. Both of them brought their case before Hazrat Dawood (peace be upon him). He decided that the remaining child belonged to the elder woman. As they were leaving, Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) called them and asked, "What is your issue?" They narrated their incident. Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) said, "Bring a knife, I will divide this child into two parts and give each of you a half." Upon hearing this, the younger woman said, "May Allah have mercy on you, he is her child (at least he will remain alive), do not divide him into two parts." Thus, Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him) decided in favor of the younger woman.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I always speak the truth. A companion submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), do you also joke with us?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Even in jest, I always speak the truth.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Those who possess abundant wealth and riches will be in the lowest ranks on the Day of Resurrection, except for those who distribute it to their right, left, and in front of them with their own hands.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once someone asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who is the best of people?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "I and my companions, then those who will come after us, then those who will come after them." After that, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A group from my Ummah will always remain steadfast on the truth regarding the matters of religion, and the opposition of those who oppose them will not harm them, until Allah's command comes and they will remain in this state."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a fly falls into the vessel of any one of you, then let him remember that in one wing of the fly there is healing and in the other there is disease, and it protects itself with the wing that has the disease (it puts that wing in the vessel first). Therefore, he should fully immerse the fly in it (then using it is up to his discretion).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The first row among the rows of men is the best, and the last row is the closest to evil; and among the rows of women, the last row is the best, and the first row is the closest to evil.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution and does it thoroughly and with complete care, then comes to the mosque with the sole intention of offering prayer, Allah Almighty becomes pleased with him as the family of a traveler becomes pleased upon his arrival home.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from four things: from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that is devoid of fear and humility, from a soul that is never satisfied, and from a supplication that is not accepted.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible for any Muslim woman to travel for even one day without a mahram from her family.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: There is no deity except Allah, He is alone, He made His army victorious, He helped His servant, and He alone prevailed over all the armies. After Him, there is nothing.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every prophet was certainly given some miracles upon which people believed, and the miracle that has been given to me is the revelation from Allah which He sends to me, and I hope that on the Day of Resurrection I will have more followers than all the other prophets.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Allah Almighty says, "In My sight, there is only goodness for My believing servant at every moment. He is praising Me, and I take out his soul from both his sides (even at the time of death, he is praising Me)."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: By Allah, I seek repentance and forgiveness from Allah more than seventy times a day.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever listens to one verse of the Qur'an, an increased reward is written for him, and whoever recites it, it will be a source of light for him on the Day of Resurrection.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the morning star rises, the calamities (of the fields) are removed.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade letting the garment hang down during prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Talbiyah of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was: "Labbayk Ilaaha al-Haqq."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man removed a thorny branch from the path of the Muslims so that no Muslim would be harmed by it, and due to this act, he was forgiven.

It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When any one of you has finished eating food, he should lick his fingers, for he does not know in which part of the food the blessing lies.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When Allah loves a servant, He calls Jibreel (peace be upon him) and says, "I love such and such a servant, so you also love him." Thus, Jibreel (peace be upon him) begins to love him, and he announces to the inhabitants of the heavens, "Your Lord loves such and such a person, so you also love him." Consequently, all the inhabitants of the heavens begin to love him, and then acceptance for him is placed among the people of the earth. And when Allah dislikes a servant, the same happens in this manner.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said one day: "Today, such a large hole has been made in the barrier of Gog and Magog." The narrator indicated the number ninety by joining his thumb and forefinger.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The imam is appointed only to be followed, so when he says the takbeer, you also say the takbeer, and do not say the takbeer before he does. When he bows (in ruku), you also bow, and do not bow before he does. When he says "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah," you say "Rabbana wa lakal hamd." When he prostrates (in sujood), you also prostrate, and do not prostrate before he does. And when he prays sitting, then all of you should also pray sitting.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Although we came last, on the Day of Resurrection we will be the foremost. The only difference is that every nation was given the Book before us, while we received the Book later. Then this Friday was appointed by Allah for them, but they differed regarding it, so Allah guided us to it. Now, in this matter, people follow us, and the Jews have the next day (Saturday), and the Christians have the day after that (Sunday). Then, after remaining silent for a while, he said: It is Allah’s right upon every Muslim that he should wash his head and body every seven days.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Avoid suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech. Do not spy on one another, do not seek out each other's faults, do not compete with one another, do not deceive one another, do not sever ties of kinship, do not harbor malice, and be, O servants of Allah, brothers to one another.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever obeys me has indeed obeyed Allah, and whoever obeys my appointed leader has obeyed me.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The dream of a Muslim man is one of the seventy parts of prophethood.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: After the obligatory prayers, the most virtuous prayer is the one performed in the middle part of the night, and after the fasts of Ramadan, the most virtuous fast is that of Allah’s month which you call Muharram.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever sees me in a dream should be certain that he has indeed seen me, for Satan cannot assume my form or appearance.

Suhail bin Abi Salih (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was sitting with my father and a servant was also sitting with him. The servant stood up and I went and sat in his place. My father said to me, "Get up from his place, because Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) told us that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you gets up from his place and goes away, then upon returning, he is most entitled to that place."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The right of the slave is that he should be provided with food and clothing, and do not burden them with any work beyond their capacity.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Famine is not that there is no rainfall; famine is that rain falls abundantly from the sky but nothing grows from the earth.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith and miserliness cannot coexist in the heart of a Muslim, just as the dust from striving in the way of Allah and the smoke of Hell cannot coexist in the nostrils of a Muslim.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the things you use for treatment, if there is any good in any of them, it is in cupping.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you hear a man saying that the people are ruined, then know that he is the most ruined among them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), tell me of an action which, if I act upon it, I will enter Paradise?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Worship Allah, do not associate anything with Him, establish the obligatory prayers, pay the obligatory zakat, and fast in Ramadan." The Bedouin said, "By Allah, I will neither decrease nor increase anything from this on my own." When he left, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wants to see a man of Paradise, let him look at this one."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever endures the hardships and difficulties of Madinah with patience, I will bear witness and intercede for him on the Day of Resurrection.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Make use of this black seed, for indeed it contains a cure for every disease except death.
