Hadith 7799
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَامَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَبَالَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَتَنَاوَلَهُ النَّاسُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَعُوهُ ، فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَلَى بَوْلِهِ سَجْلَ مَاءٍ ، أَوْ ذَنُوبًا مِنْ مَاءٍ ، فَإِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُمْ مُيَسِّرِينَ ، وَلَمْ تُبْعَثُوا مُعَسِّرِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a Bedouin came to the Prophet’s Mosque and began to urinate in the mosque. The people quickly rushed towards him. Seeing this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Leave him alone. You have been sent to make things easy, not to make things difficult." Pour a bucket of water over the place where he urinated.
Hadith 7800
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا بَالَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 7801
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " كُلُّ خُطْوَةٍ يَخْطُوهَا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، يُكْتَبُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ ، وَيُمْحَى عَنْهُ بِهَا سَيِّئَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For every step taken towards prayer, a good deed is written in exchange and a sin is erased.
Hadith 7802
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، وَقُمْنَا مَعَهُ ، فَقَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ : اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي وَمُحَمَّدًا ، وَلَا تَرْحَمْ مَعَنَا أَحَدًا ! فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِلْأَعْرَابِيِّ : " لَقَدْ تَحَجَّرْتَ وَاسِعًا " يُرِيدُ رَحْمَةَ اللَّهِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up for prayer and we also stood with him. During the prayer, a Bedouin began to supplicate: "O Allah! Have mercy on me and on Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and do not include anyone else with us in it." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards him after concluding the prayer and said, "You have confined the vast mercy of Allah."
Hadith 7803
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْتِي أَحَدَكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ ، فَلَا يَدْرِي أَنْ زَادَ أَمْ نَقَصَ ، فَإِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَلِكَ ، فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when any one of you is praying, Satan comes to him and confuses him to the extent that he does not remember how many rak'ahs he has prayed. Whoever faces such a situation should, when he sits in the final sitting (qa'dah akheerah), perform two prostrations of forgetfulness (sajda sahw).
Hadith 7804
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : أُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ ، وَصَفَّ النَّاسُ صُفُوفَهُمْ لِلصَّلَاةِ ، وَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ ، فَأَقْبَلَ يَمْشِي ، حَتَّى قَامَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَغْتَسِلْ ، فَقَالَ لِلنَّاسِ : " مَكَانَكُمْ " ، فَرَجَعَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ ، فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ صُفُوفٌ ، فَقَامَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ يَنْطُفُ رَأْسَهُ ، قَدْ اغْتَسَلَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the iqamah for prayer was being called and people began to straighten the rows. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also arrived and stood at his place. After a short while, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remembered that he had not performed ghusl. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the people, "Stay here," and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went away. When he returned, we were still standing in the rows as before, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had performed ghusl, and drops of water were dripping from his head. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) led the people in prayer.
Hadith 7805
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدَكُمْ خَادِمُهُ بِطَعَامِهِ فَقَدْ وَلِيَ حَرَّهُ وَمَشَقَّتَهُ وَدُخَانَهُ وَمُؤْنَتَهُ ، فَلْيُجْلِسْهُ مَعَهُ ، فَإِنْ أَبَى ، فَلْيُنَاوِلْهُ أُكْلَةً فِي يَدِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a servant among you brings food and has endured its heat and cold, then he should make him sit with him and eat together. If the food is little, then he should place one or two morsels in his hand.
Hadith 7806
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي غِفَارٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعِيدًا الْمَقْبُرِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الطَّاعِمُ الشَّاكِرُ ، كَالصَّائِمِ الصَّابِرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who eats and gives thanks is like the one who fasts and is patient.
Hadith 7807
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْبَرَكَةِ فِي السَّحُورِ وَالثَّرِيدِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for blessings in sahur and tharid. (Tharid is the food in which pieces of bread are soaked in broth.)
Hadith 7808
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الَّذِي يَشْرَبُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ مَا فِي بَطْنِهِ ، لَاسْتَقَاءَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the one who drinks water while standing were to know what is entering his stomach, he would vomit it out immediately.
Hadith 7809
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ الزُّهْرِيِّ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 7810
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When any one of you gets up from his place and goes away, then upon returning, he is most entitled to that place.
Hadith 7811
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ ، فَلْيَنْفُضْ فِرَاشَهُ بِدَاخِلَةِ إِزَارِهِ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي مَا خَلَفَهُ بَعْدُ ، ثُمَّ لِيَقُلْ : بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي ، وَبِاسْمِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لَهَا ، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ الصَّالِحِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you wakes up at night and then returns to his bed, he should dust his bed with the edge of his lower garment, for he does not know what may have come onto his bed after him. Then he should say: O Allah, by Your name I have laid my side on the earth, and by Your name I will rise. If You take my soul, then forgive it, and if You send it back, then protect it as You protect Your righteous servants.
Hadith 7812
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى ، وَإِذَا خَلَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى ، وَلْيَخْلَعْهُمَا جَمِيعًا ، وَلْيَنْعَلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you puts on shoes, he should begin with the right foot, and when he takes them off, he should take off the left foot first. He also said: Wear both shoes or take off both (do not do as some people do, wearing a shoe on one foot and not on the other).
Hadith 7813
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَمْسٌ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ : الِاسْتِحْدَادُ ، وَالْخِتَانُ ، وَقَصُّ الشَّارِبِ ، وَنَتْفُ الْإِبْطِ ، وَتَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Five things are part of nature: (1) Removing the hair below the navel. (2) Circumcision. (3) Trimming the mustache. (4) Plucking the armpit hair. (5) Cutting the nails.
Hadith 7814
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَمَثَلِ الزَّرْعِ ، لَا يَزَالُ الرِّيحُ تُفِيئُهُ ، وَلَا يَزَالُ الْمُؤْمِنُ يُصِيبُهُ بَلَاءٌ ، وَمَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ كَمَثَلِ شَجَرَةِ الْأَرْزَةِ ، لَا تَهْتَزُّ حَتَّى تُسْتَحْصَدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of a Muslim is like that of a crop; winds keep blowing over the crop and keep shaking it, and calamities keep coming upon a Muslim. And the example of a hypocrite is like that of a pine tree, which does not move by itself, but is uprooted all at once.
Hadith 7815
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلَا يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي إِنَائِهِ أَوْ قَالَ فِي وَضُوئِهِ ، حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you wakes up from his sleep, he should not put his hand into a vessel until he has washed it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night.
Hadith 7816
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ مَرَّ بِقَوْمٍ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ مِنْ مَطْهَرَةٍ ، فَقَالَ : أَحْسِنُوا الْوُضُوءَ يَرْحَمْكُمْ اللَّهُ ، أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Muhammad bin Ziyad says that once Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by some people who were performing ablution. Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "May Allah have mercy on you, perform ablution thoroughly. Have you not heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Woe to the heels from the fire of Hell'?"
Hadith 7817
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، أُرَاهُ قَالَ : عَنْ ضَمْضَمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَقْتُلَ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ : الْعَقْرَبَ ، وَالْحَيَّةَ " . وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنَا مَا لَا أُحْصِي .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has commanded that even during prayer, the two black things—that is, the snake and the scorpion—may be killed.
Hadith 7818
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، وَالثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ أَمِينٌ ، اللَّهُمَّ أَرْشِدْ الْأَئِمَّةَ ، وَاغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤَذِّنِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The imam is responsible and the muezzin is trustworthy. O Allah, guide the imams and forgive the muezzins.
Hadith 7819
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أُكَيْمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى صَلَاةً جَهَرَ فِيهَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بَعْدَمَا سَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " هَلْ قَرَأَ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ مَعِي آنِفًا ؟ " قَالُوا : نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " إِنِّي أَقُولُ : مَا لِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ ؟ ! " ، فَانْتَهَى النَّاسُ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا يَجْهَرُ بِهِ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ ، حِينَ سَمِعُوا ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in a prayer. After completing the prayer, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Did any of you recite (Qur'an) with me?" The people said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "That is why I was wondering why there was a dispute with me in the Qur'an." After that, people stopped reciting behind the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the audible prayers.
Hadith 7820
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الظُّهْرَ أَوْ الْعَصْرَ ، فَسَلَّمَ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ ، فَخَرَجَ سَرَعَانُ النَّاسِ ، فَقَالُوا : خُفِّفَتْ الصَّلَاةُ ، فَقَالَ ذُو الشِّمَالَيْنِ : أَخُفِّفَتْ الصَّلَاةُ أَمْ نَسِيتَ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا يَقُولُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ ؟ " قَالُوا : صَدَقَ . فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ تَرَكَ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ ، بَعْدَ مَا سَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Zuhr or Asr prayer and ended the prayer after only two rak'ahs. At this, the hasty people left and began to say that the number of rak'ahs in the prayer had been reduced. Meanwhile, Dhul-Yadain bin Abd Amr, who was an ally of Banu Zuhrah, submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Did you forget or has the number of rak'ahs in the prayer been reduced?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "Is it as Dhul-Yadain is saying?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) confirmed it. Upon this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the two rak'ahs that had been left out, then after saying salam, while sitting, performed two prostrations of forgetfulness (sajda sahw).
Hadith 7821
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَجْعَلُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ مَقَابِرَ ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَفِرُّ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي يُقْرَأُ فِيهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not make your homes like graveyards, for Satan flees from the house in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited.
Hadith 7822
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، وَعَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بنُ عبد الأعلى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَأْتِي أَحَدَكُمْ الشَّيْطَانُ فَيَلْبِسُ عَلَيْهِ فِي صَلَاتِهِ ، فَلَا يَدْرِي : أَزَادَ أَمْ نَقَصَ ، فَإِذَا وَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَلِكَ ، فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when any one of you is performing prayer, Satan comes to him and confuses him to the extent that he does not remember how many rak‘ahs he has performed. Whoever experiences such a situation should, when he sits in the final sitting (qa‘dah akheerah), perform two prostrations of forgetfulness (sajdah sahw).
Hadith 7823
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةً لَا يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ فِيهَا شَيْئًا ، إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the day of Friday, there comes such an hour that if a Muslim servant happens to find it while asking Allah for goodness, Allah surely grants him that thing.
Hadith 7824
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةً لَا يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ فِيهَا شَيْئًا ، إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ " .
In the copy available to us, there is no hadith or its chain of narration present here; only the word "haddathana" is written. And in the footnote, it is explained as follows: In some copies of Musnad Ahmad, this error occurred that the scribes took the chain of narration of hadith number (7489) and placed upon it the text of hadith number (7491).
Hadith 7825
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ تَلَقِّي الْأَجْلَابِ ، فَمَنْ تَلَقَّى وَاشْتَرَى ، فَصَاحِبُهُ بِالْخِيَارِ إِذَا هَبَطَ السُّوقَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade meeting incoming traders outside (the city) to purchase goods from them. If someone buys something in this manner, then after the seller reaches the market or marketplace, he will have the choice (to uphold or annul the sale).
Hadith 7826
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِد ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ الْيَهُودَ ، اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: May Allah's curse be upon the Jews, for they made the graves of their prophets places of prostration.
Hadith 7827
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ الْبُرْسَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بُرْقَانَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنَ الْأَصَمِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى صُوَرِكُمْ وَأَمْوَالِكُمْ ، وَلَكِنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَأَعْمَالِكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty does not look at your appearances and wealth, but He looks at your hearts and deeds.
Hadith 7828
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، وأبي سَلَمة بن عبد الرحمن بن عَوْفٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْعَجْمَاءُ جَرْحُهَا جُبَارٌ ، وَالْبِئْرُ جُبَارٌ ، وَالْمَعْدِنُ جُبَارٌ ، وَفِي الرِّكَازِ الْخُمُسُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The wound caused by an animal is without liability, the blood of one who dies by falling into a well is without liability, the blood of one who dies in a mine is also without liability, and for the buried treasure (found by someone), one-fifth (khums) is obligatory.
Hadith 7829
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، وأبي سَلَمة بن عبد الرحمن ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The intense heat is due to the effect of the heat of Hell, therefore when the heat is severe, perform the prayer after it cools down.
Hadith 7830
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ حَدَّثَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ : أَيُصَلِّي الرَّجُلُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ ؟ ! " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a person asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "Can a person pray in a single garment?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Does each one of you have two garments?"
Hadith 7831
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قال ابنُ بَكْرٍ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : " قَاتَلَ اللَّهُ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى ، اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah's curse be upon the Jews, for they made the graves of their prophets places of prostration.
Hadith 7832
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، فِي حَدِيثِهِ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَمْ يَأْذَنْ اللَّهُ لِشَيْءٍ مَا أَذِنَ لِنَبِيٍ ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : لِمَنْ يَتَغَنَّى بِالْقُرْآنِ " ، قَالَ صَاحِبٌ لَهُ ، زَادَ : " فِيمَا يَجْهَرُ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah has not permitted anything as much as He has permitted His Prophet to recite the Noble Qur'an with melody.
Hadith 7833
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَني ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أُكَيْمَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةً يَجْهَرُ فِيهَا ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ، فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ ، فَقَالَ : " هَلْ قَرَأَ مَعِي أَحَدٌ آنِفًا ؟ " قَالُوا : نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " إِنِّي أَقُولُ : مَا لِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ ؟ ! " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in a loud (jahri) prayer. After completing the prayer and turning for salam, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Did any of you recite (Qur'an) with me?" The people said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "That is why I was wondering why there was contention with me in the Qur'an."
Hadith 7834
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَهُوَ يُخْبِرُهُمْ ، قَالَ : " وَفِي كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ قُرْآنٌ ، فَمَا أَسْمَعَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَسْمَعْنَاكُمْ ، وَمَا أَخْفَى مِنَّا ، أَخْفَيْنَاهُ مِنْكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that recitation is done in every prayer. However, in those prayers in which the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited aloud to us, we too will recite aloud to you, and in those in which he recited quietly, we too will recite quietly.
Hadith 7835
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْفَزَارِيُّ : قَالَ الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah's curse be upon those people who made the graves of their prophets places of prostration.
Hadith 7836
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا السَّائِبِ مَوْلَى هِشَامِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ ، أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةً فلَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ ، فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ ، هِيَ خِدَاجٌ غَيْرُ تَمَامٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو السَّائِبِ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : إِنِّي أَكُونُ أَحْيَانًا وَرَاءَ الْإِمَامِ ! قَالَ أَبُو السَّائِبِ : فَغَمَزَ قَالَ أَبُو السَّائِبِ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : إِنِّي أَكُونُ أَحْيَانًا وَرَاءَ الْإِمَامِ ! قَالَ أَبُو السَّائِبِ : فَغَمَزَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ذِرَاعِي ، فَقَالَ : يَا فَارِسِيُّ ، اقْرَأْهَا فِي نَفْسِكَ ، إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : " قَسَمْتُ الصَّلَاةَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي نِصْفَيْنِ ، فَنِصْفُهَا لِي ، وَنِصْفُهَا لِعَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ " . قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اقْرَءُوا ، يَقُولُ : " فَيَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 2 ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ : حَمِدَنِي عَبْدِي ، وَيَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ : الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ سورة الفاتحة آية 3 ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ : أَثْنَى عَلَيَّ عَبْدِي ، فَيَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ : مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ سورة الفاتحة آية 4 ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ : مَجَّدَنِي عَبْدِي ، وَقَالَ : هَذِهِ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي ، يَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ : إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ سورة الفاتحة آية 5 ، قَالَ : أَجِدُهَا لِعَبْدِي ، وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ ، قَالَ : يَقُولُ عَبْدِي : اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا الضَّالِّينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 6 - 7 ، يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : هَذَا لِعَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any prayer in which Surah Al-Fatiha is not recited is incomplete, incomplete, incomplete." Abu Sa’ib said to Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): "O Abu Huraira, sometimes I am behind the Imam (in prayer)." He pinched my arm and said: "O Persian! Recite Surah Al-Fatiha in your heart, because I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Allah the Exalted has said: 'I have divided the prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves (and My servant shall have what he asks for).’ When the servant says: 'All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds,' Allah the Exalted says: 'My servant has praised Me.' When the servant says: 'The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,' Allah the Exalted says: 'My servant has extolled My greatness or glorified Me.' When the servant says: 'Master of the Day of Judgment,' Allah the Exalted says: 'My servant has entrusted himself to Me.' When the servant says: 'You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help,' Allah the Exalted says: 'This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for.' Then when the servant recites from 'Guide us to the straight path' to the end, Allah the Exalted says: 'This is for My servant, and he shall have what he asked for.'"
Hadith 7837
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَا كُلٌّ مِنْهُمَا : مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ هِشَامِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ ، وَقَالَا : مَالِكِ سورة الفاتحة آية 4 ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ : يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اقْرَءُوا ، يَقُومُ الْعَبْدُ فَيَقُولُ " .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 7838
وحَدَّثَنَاه يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَنِي الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ مَوْلَى الْحُرَقَةِ ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّائِبِ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ .
