It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a Bedouin came to the Prophet’s Mosque and began to urinate in the mosque. The people quickly rushed towards him. Seeing this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Leave him alone. You have been sent to make things easy, not to make things difficult." Pour a bucket of water over the place where he urinated.

So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the people, "Stay here," and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went away. When he returned, we were still standing in the rows as before, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had performed ghusl, and drops of water were dripping from his head. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) led the people in prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Zuhr or Asr prayer and ended the prayer after only two rak'ahs. At this, the hasty people left and began to say that the number of rak'ahs in the prayer had been reduced. Meanwhile, Dhul-Yadain bin Abd Amr, who was an ally of Banu Zuhrah, submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Did you forget or has the number of rak'ahs in the prayer been reduced?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "Is it as Dhul-Yadain is saying?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) confirmed it. Upon this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the two rak'ahs that had been left out, then after saying salam, while sitting, performed two prostrations of forgetfulness (sajda sahw).

Recite Surah Al-Fatiha in your heart, because I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Allah the Exalted has said: 'I have divided the prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves (and My servant shall have what he asks for).’ When the servant says: 'All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds,' Allah the Exalted says: 'My servant has praised Me.' When the servant says: 'The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,' Allah the Exalted says: 'My servant has extolled My greatness or glorified Me.' When the servant says: 'Master of the Day of Judgment,' Allah the Exalted says: 'My servant has entrusted himself to Me.' When the servant says: 'You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help,' Allah the Exalted says: 'This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for.' Then when the servant recites from 'Guide us to the straight path' to the end, Allah the Exalted says: 'This is for My servant, and he shall have what he asked for.'"
