Hadith 7719
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : مَا رَأَيْتُ شَيْئًا أَشْبَهَ بِاللَّمَمِ مِمَّا قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَتَبَ عَلَى ابْنِ آدَمَ حَظَّهُ مِنَ الزِّنَا ، أَدْرَكَهُ ذلك لَا مَحَالَةَ ، وَزِنَا الْعَيْنِ النَّظَرُ ، وَزِنَا اللِّسَانِ النُّطْقُ ، وَالنَّفْسُ تَمَنَّى وَتَشْتَهِي ، وَالْفَرْجُ يُصَدِّقُ ذَلِكَ أَوْ يُكَذِّبُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I have not seen anything more resembling minor sins than what Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Allah has decreed for every human being his share of adultery, which he will inevitably encounter. The adultery of the eyes is looking, the adultery of the tongue is speaking, a person’s soul desires and wishes, while the private part either confirms or denies it.
Hadith 7720
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ لَا يُؤَدِّي زَكَاةَ مَالِهِ إِلَّا جُعِلَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَفَائِحُ مِنْ نَارٍ ، يُكْوَى بِهَا جَبِينُهُ وَجَبْهَتُهُ وَظَهْرُهُ ، فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ ، حتي يُقضى بين الناسِ ، ثمَّ يُرَى سبيلَه ، وإِنْ كانت إبلاً إٍلا بُطِحَ لها بِقَاعٍ قَرْقرٍ في يومٍ كان مِقْدارُه خَمسين ألفَ سنةٍ ، تَطَؤُهُ بِأَخْفَافِهَا ، حَسِبْتُهُ قَالَ : وَتَعَضُّهُ بِأَفْوَاهِهَا يَرِدُ أَوَّلُهَا عَنْ آخِرِهَا ، حَتَّى يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ، ثُمَّ يُرَى سَبِيلَهُ ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ غَنَمًا فَكَمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهَا تَنْطَحُهُ بِقُرُونِهَا ، وَتَطَؤُهُ بِأَظْلَافِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever does not pay the zakat of his wealth, all his treasures will be made into a slab and heated in the fire of Hell. Then his forehead, sides, and back will be branded with it. This will be the day whose length, according to your reckoning, will be equal to fifty thousand years, until judgment is passed among the people. After that, he will be shown his path. Similarly, the man who owns camels but does not pay their due zakat, all those camels will come on the Day of Resurrection in a healthier state than before, and the ground will be made soft for them. Thus, they will trample him with their hooves. As soon as the last camel passes, the first one will return, until Allah decides among His servants. This will be the day whose length, according to your reckoning, will be equal to fifty thousand years. After that, he will be shown his path to Paradise or Hell. Similarly, the man who owns goats will face the same fate, except that they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hooves.
Hadith 7721
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ : أَخْبَرَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ مَاتَ لَهُ ثَلَاثَةٌ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ ، لَمْ تَمَسَّهُ النَّارُ إِلَّا تَحِلَّةَ الْقَسَمِ " يَعْنِي الْوُرُودَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any Muslim whose three children have died, it is not possible that he will enter Hell except to fulfill an oath (he will not remain in Hell forever)."
Hadith 7722
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " اشْتَكَتْ النَّارُ إِلَى رَبِّهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : رَبِّ ، أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا ، فَنَفِّسْنِي ، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ بِنَفَسَيْنِ ، فَأَشَدُّ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْبَرْدِ ، مِنْ زَمْهَرِيرِ جَهَنَّمَ ، وَأَشَدُّ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْحَرِّ ، مِنْ حَرِّ جَهَنَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Once the fire of Hell complained to its Lord, saying, "One part of me has consumed another part." Allah granted it permission to breathe twice a year. Because of this, the extreme cold is due to the coldness (zamharir) of Hell, and the most intense heat is also the effect of the heat of Hell.
Hadith 7723
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ : إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ سورة النصر آية 1 ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ ، هُمْ أَرَقُّ قُلُوبًا ، الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ ، الْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ ، الْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Surah Nasr was revealed, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Yemen have come to you. These people are soft-hearted, and faith, wisdom, and jurisprudence are very excellent among the people of Yemen."
Hadith 7724
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، وَكَانَ مَعْمَرٌ يَقُولُ : عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، ثُمّ قَالَ بَعْدُ : عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، فِي زَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ : " عَلَى كُلِّ حُرٍّ وَعَبْدٍ ، ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى ، صَغِيرٍ أَوْ كَبِيرٍ ، فَقِيرٍ أَوْ غَنِيٍّ ، صَاعٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ ، أَوْ نِصْفُ صَاعٍ مِنْ قَمْحٍ " . قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ : وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ الزُّهْرِيَّ كَانَ يَرْوِيهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) (probably as a marfu’ hadith) that it is obligatory upon every person, whether free or slave, man or woman, child or elderly, poor or wealthy, to give one sa’ of dates or half a sa’ of wheat as Sadaqat al-Fitr.
Hadith 7725
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَلَاثٍ ، لَا أَدَعُهُنَّ أَبَدًا : لَا أَنَامُ إِلَّا عَلَى وِتْرٍ ، وَفِي صَلَاةِ الضُّحَى ، وَصِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) advised three things, which I will not leave until my death: (1) to perform the Witr prayer before sleeping, (2) the Duha (forenoon) prayer, (3) to fast three days in every month.
Hadith 7726
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ يَسَارٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا صَنَعَ لِأَحَدِكُمْ خَادِمُهُ طَعَامَهُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ بِهِ قَدْ وَلِيَ حَرَّهُ وَدُخَانَهُ ، فَلْيُقْعِدْهُ مَعَهُ فَلْيَأْكُلْ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ الطَّعَامُ مَشْفُوفًا قَلِيلًا ، فَلْيَضَعْ فِي يَدِهِ أُكْلَةً أَوْ أُكْلَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a servant among you brings food and has endured its heat and cold, then he should make him sit with him and eat together. If the food is little, then he should place one or two morsels in his hand.
Hadith 7727
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ , حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَحَاسَدُوا ، وَلَا تَنَاجَشُوا ، وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا ، وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا ، وَلَا يَبِعْ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ ، وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِخْوَانًا ، الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ ، لَا يَظْلِمُهُ ، وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ ، وَلَا يَحْقِرُهُ ، التَّقْوَى هَاهُنَا وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ، حَسْبُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ مِنَ الشَّرِّ أَنْ يَحْقِرَ أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ ، كُلُّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ حَرَامٌ : دَمُهُ ، وَمَالُهُ ، وَعِرْضُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not envy one another, do not deceive one another, do not bear malice against one another, do not sever relations with one another, and none of you should make a sale over the sale of his brother. And O servants of Allah! Be brothers to one another. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim; he does not oppress him, does not leave him helpless, does not despise him. Piety is here—saying this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed to his blessed chest three times. It is enough evil for a Muslim that he considers his Muslim brother insignificant. The life, wealth, and honor of every Muslim are sacred to another Muslim.
Hadith 7728
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَسَمَّوْا بِي ، وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي ، أَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Name yourselves after me, but do not take my kunya. I am Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Hadith 7729
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَا يُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ بِهِ الْخَطَايَا وَيَرْفَعُ بِهِ الدَّرَجَاتِ ؟ الْخُطَى إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ ، وَإِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ عِنْدَ الْمَكَارِهِ ، وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ ، فَذَلِكَ الرِّبَاطُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shall I not tell you of something by which Allah raises ranks and erases sins? Performing ablution thoroughly despite natural dislike (especially in the cold season), taking many steps towards the mosques, and waiting for the next prayer after performing one prayer—this is like guarding the frontiers.
Hadith 7730
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ ، وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ ، فَلْيُوتِرْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution should also clean his nose, and whoever uses stones for istinja should use an odd number.
Hadith 7731
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ وِتْرٌ ، يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely Allah Almighty is Odd and He loves the odd number.
Hadith 7732
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَتْرٌ ، يُحِبُّ الْوَتْرَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The reward for offering prayer in my mosque is one thousand times greater than in all other mosques except Masjid al-Haram.
Hadith 7733
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِي غَيْرِهِ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ ، إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The reward for offering prayer in my mosque is a thousand times greater than in all other mosques except Masjid al-Haram.
Hadith 7734
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَوْ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ ، إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) or Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The reward for offering prayer in my mosque is one thousand times greater than in all other mosques except Masjid al-Haram.
Hadith 7735
حَدَّثَنَاه عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَاهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، فَذَكَرَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَشُكَّ .
The previous hadith is also narrated without doubt from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 7736
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تُشَدُّ الرِّحَالُ إِلَّا لِثَلَاثَةِ مَسَاجِدَ : مَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ، وَمَسْجِدِي هَذَا ، وَالْمَسْجِدِ الْأَقْصَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not undertake a journey specifically to any mosque except for three: the Sacred Mosque (Masjid al-Haram), this mosque of mine (the Prophet's Mosque), and the Al-Aqsa Mosque."
Hadith 7737
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَجُلٍ يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ارْكَبْهَا " ، قَالَ : إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ ، قَالَ : " ارْكَبْهَا " . قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يُسَايِرُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَفِي عُنُقِهَا نَعْلٌ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once passed by a man who was driving a camel. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Ride on it." He replied, "It is a sacrificial animal." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again said, "Ride on it." Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he saw the man walking along with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and there was a shoe hanging from the camel's neck.
Hadith 7738
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي النِّدَاءِ وَالصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ ، لَاسْتَهَمُوا عَلَيْهِمَا ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِي التَّهْجِيرِ ، لَاسْتَبَقُوا إِلَيْهِ ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِي الْعَتَمَةِ وَالصُّبْحِ ، لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا " . فَقُلْتُ لِمَالِكٍ : أَمَا يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ : الْعَتَمَةَ ؟ قَالَ : هَكَذَا قَالَ الَّذِي حَدَّثَنِي .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If people were to know what reward there is in the call to prayer and in the first row (of prayer), and if they could not attain these except by drawing lots, they would surely draw lots for them. And if people were to know what reward there is in coming early to the prayer, they would race each other to it. And if they were to know what reward there is in the Isha and Fajr prayers, they would surely attend them, even if they had to crawl.
Hadith 7739
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَوْ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ ، إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْأَقْصَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The reward for offering prayer in my mosque is a thousand times greater than in all other mosques except Masjid al-Haram.
Hadith 7740
حَدَّثَنَاه عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا ، قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، فَذَكَرَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَشُكَّ .
The previous hadith is also narrated without doubt from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 7741
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى ، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ ، وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى " ، قُلْتُ لِأَيُّوبَ : " مَا عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى ؟ " قَالَ : عَنْ فَضْلِ غِنَاكَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best charity is that which is given with a content heart. The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and you should begin your charity and alms with those who are under your responsibility.
Hadith 7742
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الْخَيْرِ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً ، فَإِذَا أَوْصَى حَافَ فِي وَصِيَّتِهِ ، فَيُخْتَمُ لَهُ بِشَرِّ عَمَلِهِ ، فَيَدْخُلُ النَّارَ ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ بِعَمَلِ أَهْلِ الشَّرِّ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً ، فَيَعْدِلُ فِي وَصِيَّتِهِ ، فَيُخْتَمُ لَهُ بِخَيْرِ عَمَلِهِ ، فَيَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ " . قَالَ : ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : وَاقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ : تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ سورة النساء آية 13 إِلَى قَوْلِهِ عَذَابٌ مُهِين سورة النساء آية 14 .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A person performs the deeds of the righteous for seventy years, but when he makes a will, he acts unjustly in it, thus his end is upon the worst of deeds and he enters Hell. Whereas another person performs the deeds of sinners for seventy years, but when he makes a will, he acts justly in it, thus his end is upon the best of deeds and he enters Paradise. Then Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If you wish, recite this verse: "These are the limits set by Allah... up to His saying: a humiliating punishment."
Hadith 7743
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا اسْتَلْجَجَ أَحَدُكُمْ بِالْيَمِينِ فِي أَهْلِهِ ، فَإِنَّهُ آثَمُ لَهُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الْكَفَّارَةِ الَّتِي أُمِرَ بِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you insists on his oath regarding his family (even though it is wrong), then this is a greater sin in the sight of Allah than the expiation which has been prescribed for him.
Hadith 7744
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ زَمَانٌ يُخَيَّرُ فِيهِ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْفُجُورِ ، فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ ذَلِكَ الزَّمَانَ ، فَلْيَخْتَرْ الْعَجْزَ عَلَى الْفُجُورِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A time will come upon you in which a person will be given the choice between helplessness and immorality; whoever reaches that time should choose helplessness over immorality and prefer it."
Hadith 7745
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، أَخْبَرَنَا مِينَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الْعَنْ حِمْيَرَ ، فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ مِنْ نَاحِيَةٍ أُخْرَى ، فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : الْعَنْ حِمْيَرَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ حِمْيَرَ ، أَفْوَاهُهُمْ سَلَامٌ ، وَأَيْدِيهِمْ طَعَامٌ ، أَهْلُ أَمْنٍ وَإِيمَانٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was sitting in the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man came and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), curse the tribe of Himyar." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned his face away from him. He came from the other side and said the same thing again. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again turned away and said, "May Allah Almighty send His mercy upon the tribe of Himyar. On their tongues is peace and in their hands is food (for others), and they are people of security and faith."
Hadith 7746
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَجْعَلْ فِي أَنْفِهِ ، ثُمَّ لِيَْنُثِرْ ، وَمَنْ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution should also clean his nose, and whoever uses stones for istinja should use an odd number.
Hadith 7747
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أَكُونُ فِي الرَّمْلِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ أَوْ خَمْسَةَ أَشْهُرٍ ، فَيَكُونُ فِينَا النُّفَسَاءُ وَالْحَائِضُ وَالْجُنُبُ ، فَمَا تَرَى ؟ قَالَ : " عَلَيْكَ بِالتُّرَابِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I stay continuously in desert areas for four or five months. Among us are women in menstruation and postnatal bleeding, and men in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), (but) we do not find water. So what is your opinion?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Make the earth (dust) obligatory upon yourselves."
Hadith 7748
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَلْيَسْتَفْتِحْ صَلَاتَهُ بِرَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you gets up for the Tahajjud prayer, he should begin it with two light rak'ahs.
Hadith 7749
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ دُعِيَ فَلْيُجِبْ ، فَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِرًا أَكَلَ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا ، فَلْيُصَلِّ وَلْيَدْعُ لَهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: If someone is invited to a meal and he is not fasting, then he should eat, and if he is fasting, then he should pray for them.
Hadith 7750
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " الْفَأْرَةُ مَمْسُوخَةٌ ، بِآيَةِ أَنَّهُ يُقَرَّبُ لَهَا لَبَنُ اللِّقَاحِ فَلَا تَذُوقُهُ ، وَيُقَرَّبُ لَهَا لَبَنُ الْغَنَمِ فَتَشْرَبُهُ ، أَوْ قَالَ : فَتَأْكُلُهُ " . فَقَالَ لَهُ كَعْبٌ : أَشَيْءٌ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : " أَفَنَزَلَتْ التَّوْرَاةُ عَلَيَّ ؟ ! " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the mouse is a transformed nation, and its sign is that if camel's milk is placed before it, it does not drink it, but if goat's milk is placed before it, it drinks it. Ka'b al-Ahbar (may Allah have mercy on him), who was a newly converted Jewish scholar, said: "Did you yourself hear this hadith from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?" I said: "Has the Torah been revealed to me?"
Hadith 7751
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا فَرَعَ ، وَلَا عَتِيرَةَ " ، وَالْفَرَعُ : أَوَّلُ النِّتَاجِ كَانَ يُنْتَجُ لَهُمْ ، فَيَذْبَحُونَهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no significance in Islam for offering sacrifice in the month of Rajab, nor is there any significance for sacrificing the first offspring of an animal in the name of idols.
Hadith 7752
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الدُّبَّاءِ ، وَالْمُزَفَّتِ ، وَالْحَنْتَمِ ، وَالنَّقِيرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (the use of) vessels called Dubba, Muzaffat, Hantam, and Naqir.
Hadith 7753
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو كَثِيرٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْخَمْرُ مِنْ هَاتَيْنِ الشَّجَرَتَيْنِ : النَّخْلَةِ ، وَالْعِنَبَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Wine is made from these two trees: one is date and the other is grape.
Hadith 7754
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْ الْمَدِينَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : فَلَوْ وَجَدْتُ الظِّبَاءَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا مَا ذَعَرْتُهَا ، وَجَعَلَ حَوْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ مِيلًا حِمًى .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared the area between the two boundaries of Madinah Munawwarah as a sanctuary (Haram). Therefore, even if I see deer in Madinah Munawwarah, I would not frighten them. And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared the area around Madinah, extending twelve miles, as a pasture.
Hadith 7755
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُمَارَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْقَرَّاظَ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَزْعُمُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَرَادَ أَهْلَهَا بِسُوءٍ ، يَعْنِي الْمَدِينَةَ أَذَابَهُ اللَّهُ كَمَا يَذُوبُ الْمِلْحُ فِي الْمَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever intends evil against the people of Madinah, Allah will melt him as salt melts in water.
Hadith 7756
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ فَلَمْ يُؤَدِّ حَقَّهُ ، جُعِلَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شُجَاعٌ أَقْرَعُ ، لَهُ زَبِيبَتَانِ ، يَتْبَعُهُ حَتَّى يَضَعَ يَدَهُ فِي فِيهِ ، فَلَا يَزَالُ يَقْضِمُهَا حَتَّى يُقْضَى بَيْنَ الْعِبَادِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever possesses wealth and does not pay its due right, on the Day of Resurrection that wealth will be turned into a bald snake with two fangs in its mouth, and it will pursue its owner until it takes his hand into its mouth and begins to chew it. This will continue until judgment begins among the people.
Hadith 7757
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، وَابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ فِي عَبْدِهِ وَلَا فَرَسِهِ صَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no zakat on a Muslim's horse and slave.
Hadith 7758
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَقْسِمُ تَمْرًا مِنْ تَمْرِ الصَّدَقَةِ ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ فِي حِجْرِهِ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ حَمَلَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ ، فَسَالَ لُعَابُهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَرَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأْسَهُ ، فَإِذَا تَمْرَةٌ فِي فِيهِ ، فَأَدْخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَهُ فَانْتَزَعَهَا مِنْهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ لَا تَحِلُّ لِآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ؟ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were present in the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was distributing dates of charity, and Hazrat Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) was sitting in his lap. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished distributing them, he seated Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) on his shoulder. His saliva began to flow onto the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked up and saw a date in his mouth. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put his hand in and took that date out of his mouth and said, "Do you not know that charity is not lawful for the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?"
